No, I think in a previous video he stated that he cannot be damaged, as that ruins most of all the horror mods. It makes them significantly less threatening and suspenseful
@@vornysamoyed6340 but having the man bear being impossible to even harm is just dumb. Once he’s on your tail, might as well just go “ screw this” and let him kill you, ruining the scariness. Something I want to recommend is to make the foundation of the watch tower out of stone so the Manbear doesn't break it. And also the compass points only to the spawn point.
Fun Fact: You can fuse other types of armor with leather armor in a Sewing table to make the armor insulated, this way you can have the effects of leather armor while having good armor stats!

Manbear: Oh, He's still there. 9:35 Someguy: You can't even see him from this angle. Manbear: You can't even see him from this angle.
I think a good idea for the watchtower is to put some sort of light around the base of the tower so when it’s night you can see if something is hiding around the base.
17:28 "what is that? Ok so start from the top" *starts moonwalking* (Btw under the watch tower when you build the farm you should also place alot of chests on slabs so u can store things)
Hey! Since you've mentioned your tower looking really scuffed a lot: Three big differences between your tower and the typical firewatch towers from games like Fears to Fathom or Firewatch, which are probably the reason yours looks a little scuffed: 1. They usually have a stairwell on the inside of the towers frame, leading around the inside. This would make the frame look a lot less goofy and is probably also safer to use when you're panicking. 2. Instead of actual walls, firewatch towers have big windows which can be closed with big hatches hanging above. I guess it doesn't really suit your pure wood aesthetic, but would help you with scouting the area while staying warm and make the top of the tower look less like a wooden block. 3. The catwalk around the inside would look a lot nicer with maybe an overhanging roof, as well as a railing. Again, also a lot safer. I personally wouldn't trust myself to not fall off the edge while a manbear is clawing at my tower. Not trying to backseat too hard, just trying to help you make your safespace more comfy. I'm really enjoying the series so far, definitely looking forward to what you and your modder can accomplish with the Wendigo, given how the Manbear is looking. A lot more of a slow-burn compared to other entitiy mods, which I personally find a lot more enjoyable to watch than a lot of the more high-octane, non-stop attacking entities out there.
A idea can be that the manbear can throw things, like rocks or snowballs. Thus, even inside the cabin, it would not be 100% safe and is still a threat. It could also be that it could literally climb trees.
I can't even describe the mental reset I went through, realizing I was watching Minecraft mod footage but hearing Skyrim music in the background. I think I started to convince myself it was Skyrim all along (always has been)
You should make the four center blocks of your floor glass so you can kind of see if the manbear is too close to see over the edge, also allowing you to see within the comfort of your home you know?
It's been a very, VERY long time since I've been so invested in a series that I'm actually craving more content. This series just struck the right chord with me I suppose because I absolutely love it. I get so excited when I see a new video has dropped and stop everything I'm doing so I can watch the newest addition. Thank you so much for making this.
I think that a good feature for the mod would be that if you have a domesticated wolf or a pack of wolves they would bark at the general direction that the man bear is at. Like in the movies and stories of cryptids and what not where dogs are the first ones to sense danger.!!!
IMAGINE if the ManBear could pass her paw through "small" gaps like windows or doors. If he is 6 blocks high, he may try to attack you or grab you through a door or trapdoor if you open it. Not so often, but, don't be so confident with those windows ;) That would be so cool! But I don't know if it's difficult to program.
I actually like the idea of 8:43 Most people assume that you can hide in a tree from a bear because of their large size, but they'd never be more wrong. In fact, most bears are built to be able to climb trees with overwhelming speed, their claws are built like ice-picks that dig right into the bark and leverage them up further. So the idea of the manbear using trees as a stalking point should be something easily incorporated by using /pregenstructure/tree(variety) as some kind of location command whenever his spawnchance is being considered in the code branch. But that's just an idea. A manbear Idea.
My absolute favourite part of this video is when he and the manbear are both up in the tree line and just look at eachother confused. The lines it copied where just, soo perfect 8:50
I think with the cave dweller being remade, after that's completely done a 3rd entity for the water should be created, so there's an entity for each part of the overworld: Ground, Cave, and Water. The entity should be different from the manbear though, like it isn't entirely focused on you, so for example, you're just casually boating around exploring and you see the creature attacking fish or roaming around, and since the water isn't necessarily a huge part of minecraft, maybe it could be valueable like the scales it drops are very important or something so you'd want to hunt it
@@tomdylan7426 if it picked up animals too that'd be crazy, like imagine going out at night with your wolf and you turn around and just see your wolf get picked up and taken to the shadow realm right infront of you
i hope u continue this series bro because it is really well made, also i wonder if the manbear can spawn in huge caves too or only on the surface(keep up the work bro u are fantastic )
If this was with friends, everyone just grouped up together in a base or such and just chilling then the manbear suddenly appearing then this would be a horrifying experience for such a mod.
“Why is it so thick?” 😂idk why that killed me. A part of me really wanted the man bear to just appear behind you as your just going “where did he go?”. Honestly that would be funny.
The Manbear can record your voice and speak it back at you (obviously)... But it makes me wonder... Imagine seeing the Manbear, standing in the fog, and you just play the "Bad to the Bone guitar riff" into the mic... And then the Manbear repeats it back at you. XD
@@idk_someguy That's a bit sad, i imagined you could have the hut with some books inside so new players could learn about the Manbear and how it works in a natural way through the diaries of it's victims which adds to the atmosphere, but if you cannot then nothing to be done about it
Its best to cut down the trees near the tower, because we have already seen the manbear standing ontop of them, so it would be wise to just get rid of all of them closeby
really long message but I think that these are good advices. I believe the only thing that is missing from this mod is more the sense of anxiety of knowing that in that specific moment you are not alone, like it would be cool if it could happen that sometimes when the manbear spawns you cant see him, but the player has an effect of anxiety that could be like the screen shaking a bit or the fov turning up and down slowly and the sound of the player breathing really heavily. also another way of adding anxiety could be that the player should not do something in order to not get attacked by the manbear, but the things he shouldn’t do are very important for progressing. Like for example if the player stays in the caves too long or too much the Manbear gets bored and the chances for an attack or just for a scare becomes higher, or if the players stays in his house or in the same place for too long, it becomes boring stalking him for the manbear so the chances gets higher. Also it would be cool to have little structures in the forest that let you know that you are not alone and that you are not the first one to visit it. Like a little destroyed tent with a campfire off, or a destroyed house or a cave with some bones ecc. the last structure would help to find bones and get wolves, that growl or bark randomly (and not every time) when the manbear is near the player. when you get attacked and you escape it would be cool to return to your destroyed house and find like a bone where the dog was or a collar.
also music is really important when the manbear is near or when you sense anxiety or when you see him it should stop, leaving full silence, just like in the videos, and there sould also be a chase music or something
and when it’s night the sound of the manbear walking on the snow and then becoming more and more near and than it starts running, but you can’t see him and right when you can hear him very very close everything stops and sudden silence
can you make like, when manbear gets close all animals stop making sounds because in nature when there is a predator all animals stays in silence, so when he is near you can only hear the wind that would be terrifying
I don't usually leave comments at all but-- I can't even express how much I love those videos of yours, they are eerie yet really enjoyable to watch and I love everything about the mod and like-- that's really cool, keep it up and good luck in your future projects:)
some suggestions for the manbear: -it’s an apex predator, so it should hunt down passive animals when it comes across them. Perhaps it should eat them whole, leaving no food behind for the player. Maybe it could be used as a luring tactic to make the player venture out for food, putting them at risk even more. -All animals that are prey for it should be petrified when either the manbear sees them or they see the manbear. They don’t move (besides shivering), they don’t make any sounds, and they can’t reproduce. This could act as a eerie early warning system for an incoming manbear. -idk if the manbear already has this feature, but it should be able to scale up 1 block instantly like horses to make it scarier while chasing the player -The manbear should drop Manbear Meat, a food that when cooked is better than steak and gives you a slight strength and resistance boost. It could also drop a manbear claw, a weapon that can be used to give the petrified effect to anything you hit for a short time -As a bonus scary detail, some of the strongest mobs in the game - iron golems, ravagers, zoglins - should run away in fear when encountering the manbear
Great video (spoiler) I loved like how the first time we see the Manbear was just in the tree stalking you and continuously repeating what you said. I think you should turn the old hut into a barn or something you could manage all your farming stuff
You know he's going insane whilst living in a deep frozen forest all by himself, without a single glimpse of another living being, when he starts to talk with manbear, which is, he is talking with himself lmao. I'm pretty sure in the last episodes he and manbear's gonna be best friends
Also, I did a little research on the Cold Sweat mod and its wiki, and learned some things. The reason why the boiler wasn't heating you up is because it is used to heat up waterskins instead. Waterskins are an item that could be used to either heat up or cool down yourself, and it is crafted using 2 leather and 1 string. They are a neat tool to use when you are traveling around. As for the hearth, you could also use logs, coal blocks, and even lava as better fuel and heat sources than just coal or charcoal.
*where's the nametag" *The nametag sitting in his inventory* Something i also thought about. If i recall correctly a wondering traders AI will cause Them to drink an invis potion whenever a hostile mob is around, meaning the manbear was nearby at some point when someguy was talking and it didn't repeat anything.
I dunno if anyone's already commented this... But compasses will point to your _world_ spawnpoint, not your bed spawnpoint. Whoever said that it pointed towards your bed misunderstood how it worked.

@medoyk637 thanks just not the look some guy is going for though. He wants the manbear to be portrayed as an intelligent enemy. I do like the idea of it just passing through the forest but the manbear only likes eating intelligent things. Some guy did however mention possibly having the manbear eat villagers so maybe we could see the manbear chasing one but it's unlikely
Tbh its more scary if you see hes only focused on you
@@Kao_4that’s not very realistic and gets tiring. The Manbear going after EVERYTHING in its path is scarier. That mechanic could also lead it to you if you have livestock, because it could look for the livestock as well and maybe kill them in the night or sm
The fact that the manbear outsmarts its own creator and does things he didn't even program is insane and scary
26:48 the way my eyes shot wide open here upon realisation.
Oh. My. God.
He aint safe anywhere
I don't know if I'm the only one but I keep getting both terrified and angry because of how much he keeps hanging outside at night but then being scared to go out during the day😭
i like how the manbear is actively becoming more dangerous when unpredictable with his motives in each video, but the question I want to ask is..can we defeat him?
No, I think in a previous video he stated that he cannot be damaged, as that ruins most of all the horror mods. It makes them significantly less threatening and suspenseful
I'm working on something that makes you believe you defeated him.
@@vornysamoyed6340 Oh wow, that is terrifying but that’s also cool!
@@vornysamoyed6340 but having the man bear being impossible to even harm is just dumb. Once he’s on your tail, might as well just go “ screw this” and let him kill you, ruining the scariness. Instead he should be made possible to harm and fend off, but never actually killed, and every encounter is still a massive risk. It would be a lot scarier and a lot more realistic if you’re prey facing against a predator
Make it similar to something like Mr. X from the new RE2, just when you “defeat” him he gets more aggressive than normal for a few days
"I told you guys hunger was going to be a problem!" *Causally opens a chest with almost 7 stacks of potatoes*
The Manbear copying your voice while you're questioning how the hell he got on the tree had me dying

Someguy: He's on the Tree!
Manbear: He's on the Tree!

Someguy: Oh, He's still there.
Manbear: Oh, He's still there.

Someguy: You can't even see him from this angle.
Manbear: You can't even see him from this angle.
Bears are in caves. The Manbear should follow you into caves too. Nowhere is sacred!
He's too big. He wouldn't fit in tiny/normal caves.
Maybe only in shallow caves, like he won’t go below a certain y level.
@@starscast0039 Probably not, but he could certainly appear in the vast deep dark caverns.
@@starscast0039 He could just be strong enough do destroy stone based blocks, but not deepslate.
Actually, Manbear has a friend in the caves, called Deep Dweller, so whenever you enter the cave, Manbear calls his buddy to chase you in the caves
I think a good idea for the watchtower is to put some sort of light around the base of the tower so when it’s night you can see if something is hiding around the base.
17:27 I think he found what "that" was
Lmao the man bear said that

"Despite their heavy build and awkward gait, they are adept runners, *climbers*, and swimmers."
-Wikipedia, bear
Hope this helps! :)

Trading villagers drink invisibility potion if they are in danger...
Your choices for music are just like... king's tastes.
Your videos are so enjoyable to watch for real.
What is the music?
@@weaversong4377 I believe it's Skyrim's OST. As for which one u can prob find it on a youtube compilation
17:28 "what is that? Ok so start from the top" *starts moonwalking*
(Btw under the watch tower when you build the farm you should also place alot of chests on slabs so u can store things)
Hey!
Since you've mentioned your tower looking really scuffed a lot:
Three big differences between your tower and the typical firewatch towers from games like Fears to Fathom or Firewatch, which are probably the reason yours looks a little scuffed:
Let’s be honest, the Manbear is just a cooler version of Bigfoot.
I think I started to convince myself it was Skyrim all along (always has been)
"Hey, your finally awake."
I love how rare the manbear is. It gives a feeling of security but an underlying terror
You should make the four center blocks of your floor glass so you can kind of see if the manbear is too close to see over the edge, also allowing you to see within the comfort of your home you know?
His temporary Rucism to the black rabbit gives him Manbear senses.
Not so often, but, don't be so confident with those windows ;)
That would be so cool!
But I don't know if it's difficult to program.
I actually like the idea of 8:43
Most people assume that you can hide in a tree from a bear because of their large size, but they'd never be more wrong.
I'm honestly getting more scared at your earrape "morning speeches" than the manbear
The entity should be different from the manbear though, like it isn't entirely focused on you, so for example, you're just casually boating around exploring and you see the creature attacking fish or roaming around, and since the water isn't necessarily a huge part of minecraft, maybe it could be valueable like the scales it drops are very important or something so you'd want to hunt it
we need end and nether creatures then
maybe an ender dragon overhaul
and a thing for the nethrer
Maybe also one in the sky, that flies about and can purchase watching you, it could swoop down and attack but mainly be more like a quite shadow
@@tomdylan7426 Like a owl-like monster? That would be cool af
something like the hullbreaker in alex's caves?
@@tomdylan7426 if it picked up animals too that'd be crazy, like imagine going out at night with your wolf and you turn around and just see your wolf get picked up and taken to the shadow realm right infront of you
Add torches around the trees or cut them down and add a fence around the base and get a spyglass so you can see the manbear
i hope u continue this series bro because it is really well made, also i wonder if the manbear can spawn in huge caves too or only on the surface(keep up the work bro u are fantastic )
This series gave me motivation to play minecraft again so thanks
If this was with friends, everyone just grouped up together in a base or such and just chilling then the manbear suddenly appearing then this would be a horrifying experience for such a mod.
“Why is it so thick?”
😂idk why that killed me.
XD
You should build a ring around the top of the ladder, so if the Manbear tries to climb up it, he gets stuck.
I still believe you should add the destroyed hut as a structure in the mod like i said in the previous episode i think
I'm not adding any terrain generation to the mod cause its difficult to get it all done correctly, instead a custom map will be used eventually.
@@idk_someguy That's a bit sad, i imagined you could have the hut with some books inside so new players could learn about the Manbear and how it works in a natural way through the diaries of it's victims which adds to the atmosphere, but if you cannot then nothing to be done about it
@@idk_someguy when will the mod be published?
this man has an interesting taste in wood and home decor to say the least
16:13 - don't cry don't cry don't cry
Its best to cut down the trees near the tower, because we have already seen the manbear standing ontop of them, so it would be wise to just get rid of all of them closeby
I love this series, easily my favorite of yours.
a series which I actually did more than 2 videos on lol
really long message but I think that these are good advices.
Like a little destroyed tent with a campfire off, or a destroyed house or a cave with some bones ecc.
the last structure would help to find bones and get wolves, that growl or bark randomly (and not every time) when the manbear is near the player. when you get attacked and you escape it would be cool to return to your destroyed house and find like a bone where the dog was or a collar.
also music is really important when the manbear is near or when you sense anxiety or when you see him it should stop, leaving full silence, just like in the videos, and there sould also be a chase music or something
and when it’s night the sound of the manbear walking on the snow and then becoming more and more near and than it starts running, but you can’t see him and right when you can hear him very very close everything stops and sudden silence
i cannot explain how fast my heart accelerates whenever you go outside
These are incredibly entertaining. Looking forward to seeing more. :)
26:43 I think I damn never shit myself realizing that wood wasn't there 😭
17:29 Manbear was like im gonna start from the top
He literally did start from the top
can you make like, when manbear gets close all animals stop making sounds because in nature when there is a predator all animals stays in silence, so when he is near you can only hear the wind
that would be terrifying
I don't usually leave comments at all but-- I can't even express how much I love those videos of yours, they are eerie yet really enjoyable to watch and I love everything about the mod and like-- that's really cool, keep it up and good luck in your future projects:)
Love your work, it's actually good and I hope you continue on with the series :)
We aint finishing any time
some suggestions for the manbear:
-it’s an apex predator, so it should hunt down passive animals when it comes across them.
-idk if the manbear already has this feature, but it should be able to scale up 1 block instantly like horses to make it scarier while chasing the player
-The manbear should drop Manbear Meat, a food that when cooked is better than steak and gives you a slight strength and resistance boost. It could also drop a manbear claw, a weapon that can be used to give the petrified effect to anything you hit for a short time
-As a bonus scary detail, some of the strongest mobs in the game - iron golems, ravagers, zoglins - should run away in fear when encountering the manbear
Great video (spoiler) I loved like how the first time we see the Manbear was just in the tree stalking you and continuously repeating what you said.
I think you should turn the old hut into a barn or something you could manage all your farming stuff
“Food is getting very scarce” also him harvesting like a billion potatoes
Dude, at this point you should just make it so the mod stops you from stripping wood with an axe and with something else instead
You know he's going insane whilst living in a deep frozen forest all by himself, without a single glimpse of another living being, when he starts to talk with manbear, which is, he is talking with himself lmao. I'm pretty sure in the last episodes he and manbear's gonna be best friends
LESGOOOOO i waited for this the all week !
Its so funny how most players just kill the wandering trader before even take a look at their trades, compared to him, even having a name for him.
This was the most peaceful manbear video yet lmao
This is like one of those Minecraft build longplays, but with anxiety
31:44 the amnbear was running in the backgrouns right side
*where's the nametag"
*The nametag sitting in his inventory*
Something i also thought about. If i recall correctly a wondering traders AI will cause Them to drink an invis potion whenever a hostile mob is around, meaning the manbear was nearby at some point when someguy was talking and it didn't repeat anything.
17:27 HE'S JUST STANDING THERE, MENACINGLY!!!
You should put some fences on the side of your home to prevent falling off
Episodic content is so refreshing these days
I dunno if anyone's already commented this... But compasses will point to your _world_ spawnpoint, not your bed spawnpoint. Whoever said that it pointed towards your bed misunderstood how it worked.
I love the idea of him doesn’t attack but stalk you instead.
If the man bear attack you when your low on HP it would be horrifying
