Cait seems op with the 6 stars, but frankly, even with lower level adventure, at 3 stars, it feels painfully slow, you have 0 stats, you're dependant on the enemy draw, sometimes the bombs miss and if the enemy can replenish his board fast, even with small units, it's hard to hit the nexus for big attacks
It honestly feels like she was designed only with her 6* and relic in mind, but without the relic recylcing the misses and a potential 20 damage nexus nuke she doesnt have a real win condition. The best 3* build I could come up with is using 3 strike relics (either nexus or weakest enemy) and holding Cait in your hand until a turn where you maybe pulled up 7+ traps, otherwise your best bet is literally just hoping for puffshrooms.
i immediately upgraded her to 6 star so i cant really judge, but she seems like a very low to the ground control deck with no real wincon/payoff beyond hitting with caitlyn which is... inconsistent to say the least
@@Snnuy she also doesnt have a combat trick besides Peacemaker, which doesnt really come into play when enemies are either at full health or got overkilled because 3 bombs decided to trigger on the same 3 health unit. She should have Insider Knowledge to pull up more flashbombs during combat instead of Officer Squad because you cant even use Most Wanted if the enemy hand is empty. But that leads into another problem she has, mid combat draws (either from Double Agent striking or something like the Sentry dying) can kill the enemy infront of Caitlyn before she can strike, meaning unless she has overwhelm shes gonna miss the Nexus ping. Her 2* power feels pretty redundant, especially with the minor upgrade that gives all follows the 4 flashbomb item, so instead of planting 1 flashbomb per summoned or attacking unit, make the enemy draw 1 when attacking to not only get more flashbombs, but also to potentionally clear more of the backline to get more hits in on the Nexus.
I got Katarina with Caitlyn and let me just say. Good lord. I have never seen something more OP in my life. Soooo many flashbombs via Sheriff of Piltover. Caitlyn didn't even matter bc I just killed the enemy nexus with Ace in the Hole.
I know you have hatred for Azirelia but I think Irelia would have been a cool pick since you plant flash bombs on the summon of blades as well as when they attack. Could have been an opportunity to overwhelm the opponent
There is so many more shards and chests since the constellation update for ftp pve . Maybe things feel slow because there is more to unlock, but there are soooo many more rewards now than there were. Content creators investing money in the game makes sense. I was ftp for years, skins and emotes and boards never were interesting when that was the monetization in pvp and pvp was the dominant portion of the game. I have enjoyed this game for a long time and all the content creators on TH-cam, so I didn’t mind contributing to the health of the game that has entertained me for years by buying some coins this year.
I'd argue that we actually get more shards now in total now, but it can be slower to get one specific champion to 3 stars since they're releasing champions for PoC more often. But it's still a lot faster than the grind to 6 stars, which feels impossible since we have to rely on a 5% chance to get 10 nova shards from a random region from a chest that is hard to get reliably.
I remember when she out in the 1st two years of PoC & something was missing too make her good & fun in higher 🌟 difficulty but now this make her so much fun to play ! I gave LoR some money after a 4 year ftp player
I managed to beat managem asol with 4* Cait, had double duplicate hero power, duplicate hero item, 4 flashbombs on summon, and some other miscellaneous items. I barely managed to eke out the win, but the amount of bombs in asols deck made it so the caits all just dealt so much damage.
57:56 the reason this happens is because the sand soldiers are not declared as an attacker when you hit the button. a similar mechanic is present in Magic the Gathering where after you say these are my attackers anything that gets summoned and is "attacking" doesn't trigger your attack triggers! Hope this helps clear up the weirdness with the Sand Soldiers :)
Enfeebling Strike is such a strong power, I almost get it automatically every time, it makes so many hard fights become completely laughable, like Tryndamere with his immortal doofuses XD Also, getting one Enfeebling opens the door to getting the second, and at that point any damage you deal to enemies destroys their chance of doing anything XD
Instead of double/triple damage traps, her star power should have doubled/tripled the trap count instead. The only difference being you're not gonna overkill with flashbombs, though multiple enemies with tough would be a bit tougher
I do wish they added ways to remove stars temporarily. I can understand this wouldn't be used by enough people to be worth dev time As for Cait herself, only having her at 3 star, she's been... underwhelming. Her deck is very synergistic, and starts with exactly 2 copies of the only card you can semi-reliably finish games with (Caitlyn herself). And you tend not to gain more that early in a run either. If you lose both, prepare for a slog.

Looks fun. But what a sad state this game is in. Started playing it a couple of weeks ago after 2 years break from it. And i just uninstalled it because it's too frustrating to keep going without opening up your wallet and paying 35€ for a mini-dlc 😅.
The outro music of not letting runeterra die while letting yourself financiate a 150$ bundle has a certain degree of irony to it imo. LoR Devs certainly appreciate the money but then You aren't willing to spend the money yourself?

Well, pay2progressFaster isn't exactly a new concept and putting the money sinks in PVE keeps the PVP non-p2w (though I do wish there were more "medium-priced" items available)
Card art looks like they corped it from some random lol video and they just slaped some free google background no hate but it seams litle to broken if it cost 16 and then got reduced cost by 1 for every trap activated… than it would be fine with that effect
We're all gonna love Cait's 6* power until it shows up on a weekly nightmare and the AI crits on a 1hp unit to deal 39 damage to your face.

Progression is horribly slow, Even if you could limit your shard acquisition to a single region, it would still take months to get what you want
