I think the 6 month wait period is a bit unacceptable. I could simply move in and out every 3 months on a tourist visa simply exploring areas. Both the digital nomad visa and the tourist visa don't allow you to work, so why not just go twice a year on a tourist visa?

Thank you for your question. A very good Japanese friend of mine, who is a CEO of a company, provided me with a sponsorship (COE). This video describes what a COE is: th-cam.com/video/By5nwse_4Gw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=coYZFABBWJTmuQdb She "sponsored" me to come to Japan, and I got a visa for one year and worked fully remote from Japan.
I understand that the visa requirement might seem high. However, I thought I'd mention that there's an option for those interested - individuals under 31 can apply for a work and holiday visa in Japan, which might be helpful to some. 😊
