Hi Nancy, you might not be very good at maths, but your problem solving abilities leave me in awe. So logical, I cannot wait to give your matching system a go. Thank you. Regards, Alison
How do you avoid hitting the pin with machine needle. Do you need a special machine. I couldn't find the video where you finished this quilt. You are very good in explaining each and ever step. Really enjoyed watching your demos.
Hello Usha, no special machine, I just be sure I'm using a fine pin with a very small head like the Clover Silk Pins and go slowly over the pin. Sometimes it hits but not very often and I generally get precise seams :) Here is the full play list for the Lone Star quilt - th-cam.com/video/-Sg4ku75H-s/w-d-xo.html&pp=gAQB
Are use the same method except that when I put the pin in to line up the intersections , I don’t just stand it vertically. I’ll pull it all the way through so that I am sure they are nested tightly. This method works very well.
Good Morning, I love your tutorial. Following your steps I have gotten amazing diamond sections. Using your pinning technique to match up the rows by putting in a pin into the seams made a huge difference for me. I am ready to sew my segments together, however, some are evenly matching up and others are off either too long or too short. I have enough fabric to make more segments but I'm not sure what I did to make them not line up as to NOT do that again. I have images I can share just not sure how to share those here. Any direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help
Hello Marlene, Here is the link to the full play list of the Lonestar th-cam.com/video/-Sg4ku75H-s/w-d-xo.html the last video is where i do the quilting. Is that what you were looking for?
Hi im after some advice. I'm looking at buying a bernina sewing machine. I like to quilt, so looking for a machine with a large throat, plus some fancy stich es and the stich regulated. Which machine would you recommend

Glad I could help!
Love that star behind you, I am trying to get the courage to tackle it, love the bead work too.

Don't forget to trim your large diamonds down all to the same size after you have done the spray sizing :)

Opps - i mean the Performance Icon - the machine with the embroidery is the Expression, i think.
