Hahaha, I read a few "they didn't even wear make up in the 20's" comments. What?! Make up had been around forever and yes, women wore make up. Lisa Eldridge did a history of make up series that was amazing, a lot of the brands we still use today has been out since the early 1900s. A smudged, smokey eye and red lips were a flapper girl staple, I love Shannon's interpretation of the look, as soon as I saw it I knew what era it was from. She doesn't need to be completely accurate, her brows are naturally a different shape than the era and making full lips smaller is hard especially when wearing red lipstick. To the complainers, feel free to do a better job and upload it..or just hush.

Your interpretation of the 1920's is so much flattering for today's standards than the 1920's was(although then it was the go to look) and how we'd see that look today. From the extremely pale, full coverage, matte complexion, to the eyeshadow shape being higher in the inner corner and lower towards the outer corner, to the nonexistent drawn extremely thin, long, round brows, to the lip shape that was meant to make lips like they were being puckered up, so a lot smaller than their actual lips were. It's incredible how the standards of beauty change by decade, it really is. Every decade brings changes even in what we consider beautiful.
Loved the finished look and especially the ombre lip. I also appreciated you outling where your look differed and why you made those choices. Your knowledge and research showed in the video. Fantastic!

i loved the authentic old music to go with the theme! i thought everything about this was so, so perfect, i was just entranced.
