    I would be willing to bet you that the cost of GOV juice (DEF) more than make's up for the fuel savings

      It's a hybrid so the power comes from electric motors and the diesel engine is relatively small at 13.5 liters. If the equipment has a diesel motor powering it, whether it's a Deere, Cat, Komatsu or Volvo they're all going to use DEF - so what's you're point?

      @@buckhorncortez Huh that was a long time ago I don't even remember commenting I'm guessing I made that comment when I was a tad bit on the tipsy side because I typically don't watch John Deere promotional films about loaders. I'm guess the point I was trying to get out here is the diesel you would be saving with the hybrid system doesn't make up for the cost to def. I'm no expert on those big loaders fuel performance but I'm guessing that that would not be true. But in the long run the more complex hybrid system although pretty cool idea would probably give you more issues than the cost of def

      And you can tell the alloy they're made from looking at them on a small computer screen...uh...huh...sure...
