You should always do drop test before scratch test. You have compromised that screen with level 8 scratches
even with that its pretty amazing how the screen is more or less fine
A scratch test isn’t going to fundamentally alter the phone’s structure. If you do the drop test first you risk not being able to do a scratch test as your screen & or back panel could be shattered. Ideally 2 phones could be used for testing, but that doubles the price of testing.
@@Ethan.s.. its like a fault line, so if there is less glass in that line, its naturally gonna crack along that scratch line under less pressure than without it
So, if the screen breaks during the drop test, there’s no scratch test =)

6:00 I think the level 5 pick is actually being damaged by the glass. The glass is acting like sandpaper against the level 5 or below picks. You can easily wipe away the scratch marks as it is just residue left behind by other objects.
Ur not thinking about the science behind it,if it was to act like sand paper it needs to scratch it but since it's smooth glass,it wouldn't be possible to scratch the tool,I do understand what ur saying but logically it's unlikely for it to happen.

I’d love to see a corner drop test, as hitting right on the corner has killed a few of my phones in the past.
I think at around 8:30 it does land on the corner
Frame skipping looks like it impacts pretty much right at the top, maybe at a 5 degree angle or so.
I dropped iphone13 on road today while driving car at 80kmph. Phone Landed on corner. Working perfectly fine
I got a green one, despite being painful to watch the tests. But I’m really impressed with durability of the iPhone 13 ❤

Needed to see this bro because I dropped mine like 9 times then got paranoid about if it had internal damage but it works perfectly fine so I’m lucky lol
and, if you see anything weird on the phone, its probably not because the screen was damaged, but the internals.
I have a new iphone 13 blue. I ended up sleeping on it 3-4 times. It made me concerned about its durability. So far no signs of damage.

U should do drop test over solid concrete, this hollow tile is soft and bounce. And i think the glass broke during the last drop, i can see some fragments
The table isn’t moving from the phone, the phone is doing all of the bouncing. The flat surface of the table allows the contact area to be larger than that of a non smooth surface though.

I don't understand what's the point of this kind of videos where the phone is scratched by a knife where it is obvious that it will be easily damaged. The test should be with things that people carry in their pockets or bags and the drop test
To see what level of scratches will damage it. We all know it will break but he’s testing how far you can push it before it breaks.

Personally I think screen protectors are a little bit of scam. They used to make sense when screens scratched easily, but they're still being sold on these highly scratch resistant phones and I don't know if they'd provide all that much protection from impact. People see the screen protector crack, and not their phone screen, and think it did something, but I'm like is it just the case that the screen protector is weaker than your actual screen, and has done nothing but be an accessory you have to replace?
