@@TheXboxSux The last ASE video of Syntac's features the mighty Sky Mammoth (which we cannot question), but it came into being a loooong time before, sometime maybe midway through the cluster series? It's a sacred being who floats atop his Tek hamburger base, recalling a time when Syntac's previous base stood high above, jutting out over the cliff his Tek hamburger sits beneath. For some reason, when that castle fell, Sky Mammoth remained forever in the sky, looking benevolently down upon all the realm.
It still a problem and it going to be the death of some of the baby I am raising I hope it get fixed soon

Hey syntac, in regard to the exp glitch in my experience taking a mindwipe usually fixes it, and failing that you can admin yourself any amount of xp(even just one lol) and that will definitely fix it
The caves redone for ASA and improved loading and de-loading means that creatures are regularly getting into the caves. I've had an Argy hear a whistle command and fly into a cave besides me from outside. Various caves have had dodos walking around in them.
In ASE on Crystal Isles the spiders used to glitch out of the caves. So weird stuff getting into or out of caves isn't really that new for Ark. Microraptors in the swamp cave is a new level of evil, though.
This probably isn't useful now. But for future procoptodon tames or other passive flee creatures you can eat rare flowers and they will chase after you so you can lead it into a trap.

When creatures/babies fly up in the sky its just a visual bug. You can still whistle them follow and as soon as they move for the follow, they reset to their ground position.
Can also just punch in the spot they should be👌 and they will pop down

Mostly. We lost our first Ankylo on our server. We watched it fly up, and then it was just gone. Not on the tracking tab or anything. 100+ hours later, it's never been seen again.

Tracking does have a tab to pick which group. Maybe you guys can have a group number for your own personal dinos if you ever guys tribe up together... just a future thought

Hey Syntac, 2 of the most common crashing causes are Menu transitions and Fluid & Foliage interaction. Turning off menu transitions will largely eliminate crashes during inventory and container access / switching.
Whether or not you want to turn off Fluid & Foliage interaction is up to you. Hope this helps!
this worked wonders for me.... not perfect, but really reduced the crashes for me on inventory access

@@Surxe "enable Fluid & foliage interaction" should be under the gameplay? Or advanced? Category im not sure. Its where you can also enable and disable light shafts and light Bloom. The menu transitions setting should be under UI
Edit: please note, turning off Fluid and foliage interaction will cause a lot of floating pebbles and grass. You have to choose functionality over beauty if you crash a lot.
Me knowing full well that this tame could still be ended by a tickle chicken at any point even when Syntac says of course he got it 😂
the taming pen you had on top of your starter inspired my taming pen i used the same concept but i added multiple floors with the cellar doors acting as the ceilings so i can tame multiple tames without them agro-ing on each other
20:50 you really need a good level oviraptor, their range increases exponentially for every level they have(does not matter wich stat), also the range is in the shape of a cube, so make sure to align the oviraptor good.

26:25 Here's my story about my first Rex tames in ASA, I saw a Rex die to 2 Stegos, I saw 2 small Rexes swimming in the river where their parent died, I claimed the 2 Rexes... Level 5 and my singeplayer world crashed twice on the way back to my base... it was like 5-6 minutes walk from my base
ARK has pioneered quantum physics to have that deodic there and not there at the same time.
So I found that going to Settings>UI>Disable Menu Transition> Turn to ON has almost completely eliminated my crashing when accessing inventories. Hope you see this and hope it helps.

That procoptodon find is beyond a lucky find. Ive seen maybe 1-2 with 150+ hours played already. Probably the rarest creature on the island
Not sure if they spawns in ASA are turned up, but I found 1 in similar hours on the Island to get Zoologist for ASE. But I've already seen three in ASA over 20 hours of play, many near Syntac's pearl harvesting location. The wiki lists there spawns as quite far from that.
@@waveclaw Spawn, Resource and Explorer maps seems to be changed for ASA. Spawns are not entirely correct on the map compared to ASE I've noticed. What seems to happen is there's larrge areas without spawns, and suddently there's a huge clump of dinos gang-fighting all over the place. The 1-2 Procoptodons ive seen have also been killed within seconds of being rendered inn.
Finally caught up on the series! Id love to see some underwater adventures if you get around to that
I was speaking to Jeremy Stieglitz and he said that he added microraptors to the cave specifically to annoy you. Apparently, it was over some portal issue from your cluster series.
We had Sky Mammoth in Survival Evolved and now we have Sky Doedicurus in Survival Ascended. Beautiful
8:29 It could be very possible that the microraptor was actually glitched into the cave… considering I had by far, in a 30 hours single player world, at least 3 knocked out dino sunk into the ground when I left the area and went to grab some feed…
Right now I am kind of good at ghost myself just to get the Dino out…😂

base imprinting option, was 4 for my orphaned 150 rex. i think its based on size of creature and time for maturity. the rex took 8 ingame hours to mature. whereas raptors took only 1 imprint to get 100% but a shorter maturity timer
With your wolves, have like 4 on neutral or attack my target and have them all follow one wolf on passive. All on ignore group whistles. Plus it’s basically like gathering hide, meat, etc passively.
The ascending dino glitch is based on them being clipped to other dinos. I had 3 rex's following me and when I whistled them to unfollow 2 where super close to each other. One of the rex's would fly into the air then come back down and repeat at weird intervals without me leaving render. Moving them apart fixed it.

For the not being able to access inventories when logging in. Either pick up bed or if pickup isn't enabled just bed hop. It's a glitch where you get stuck on the bed.
That redwoods cave is buggy as hell. I've found the artifact floating above the forest and a weird pile of spiders, bats, and dung beetles all meshed together on the surface.
Yeah I was confused why people were saying it was on passive. I saw the damage numbers, it just couldn't do enough damage to take everything out before it was taken down. It's always dangerous to bring a frog into that cave because its health isn't that high and while it can attack *fairly* quickly it can sometimes be an issue to target things that aren't straight in front of you.

Make your Taming pen somewhere on the roof of the middle section of your base building (Once you get it built) with an elevator for the floor and then have an elevator bring the tame straight down into your building when ready.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but when my babies fly up like that, I punch where they are supposed to be on the ground and they appear back on the ground!
It seems if you put a saddle on the ascending creature it helps. Of course it doesn’t solve it when they are babies. I’ve been putting them in an enclosed area. Doesn’t keep them from ascending but keeps them inside.

Gigas can now spawn on the eastern edge of the redwoods at roughly 50, 50. I just got bit in the face by a giga, ran away and found another giga and a carch.

The creature ascending thing is a visual bug i've noticed, if you log out of the server and back in they're back on the ground.
Kind of random, but I think you need a small door in the back of your base next to the forge so you can cut across to the other side where the fridges are. It takes you a long time to run from one side to the other with no shortcut lol.
You should use trike for thatch if you do the charge attack at a tree they could get way more thatch than a megalo and the pick
Tip for the megaloceros if you’re ever in the swamp surrounded by bugs they re great at killing them because of the antlers also pump weight melee and stamina
So theres n option in the menu to deactivate the moving of trees by flying trough and the waves on water when running, deactivating it helped me and my friends with the chrashes its called foliage & Fluid Interaction
If you whistle them they follow and fall back down. It happened to me with literally all my dinos 3 times in a row haha luckily I was solo and could fly up
The bleed is only to players, not to wild creatures and stuff. I don't know what all that's about, but it's kinda cool. It also protects you from taking damage off the back, so onyc can't hit you on their back.
The ascension is a client side visual bug. You can punch where they are meant to be and they will reappear as they should (doesn't work on things you cannot knock back). They very slowly descend.
I just thought it was because it's called ark "ascended" haha.
the floating babies are a visual bug for the most part. the hitbox is still on the ground and you can get stuck on it. to get it back to normal, you have to get it to move.
@syntac I made that same SinglePlayer XP setting mistake. Using a MindWipe Tonic brought me down to the level I was supposed to be if you don't want to wait for the XP bar to catch up!
Given that where you hit a creature does different damage you could try using Dino’s like Trikes or other ones that are difficult to fight against for bosses! Kinda early for it but there’s my opinion🎉
Easy fix with the ascended dinos: if you just whistle them they fall back down. They are actually in the same place, but its a visual bug where they look to be in the sky. I was getting stuck on "floating" parasaurs, but they were actually still in the same spot.
It would be cool to see 2 two person tribes. And each of the tribes creates its own fort for attack at the end of the series. This could be a great ending to the island where you fight it out come to peace then accend.
22:45 trick put a wolf inside a metal box. have the rest following it. they will kill dino’s and return to metal box. it works great with raptors too.
Tracking with a large tribe is very easy. Just put [Syn] in brackets at the end of the creatures name. Such as "Dodo [Syn]" you can sort by dino type with drop down then type [Syn]. Makes it nice and easy to track personal tames, especially on pc where you have a keyboard for faster typing.
hey buddy try disabling transition animations in the settings menu should help with the inventory crash's or at least it did with me.
If a dino dose start to float away try and punch where it was that can bring it back down or get it to follow you and that works every time.

i had a rather hard double alpha raptor fight yesterday, it had parent boost mate booost and alpha boost from another alpha raptor.

I really like rhinos for thatch. Just charge though a forest while attacking and you get lots of thatch. Berries too
The Meglo has a buff that causes others to bleed is about the only real benefit now days so he would be something you ride while other tames do battle for you so you can give them the buff and if you added a yut and he did his roar on auto and followed the Meglo you are riding any tames with you could essentially do major DPS with a bleed affect.
Im gonna be a forever newbie in this but i love this game and i love ancient mammals and aside from the Argie to fly around i just mostly use mammals i ride my trusty deer to battle with a pack of hyenas its fun how quick they destroy rexes i just dont go against something with big AoEs cuz that becomes a problem real quick.
Creatures won't willing fall/jump off ledges, which is why the doedicurus tried to pathfind around the base/argies
Dude I havent even found anything higher than 1 level 130 that i tamed because it was all i could find with a few wipes since release. I knew the island was bad for high levels from the start and OG Ark but damn this is wild, I kill them all the time and the most common level is 15 to 30 lmao
I can also use doedics or Ankys for thatch, tho I don’t know how good they r jow

Hmm stego or tickle chicken might be best thatch gathering however stego gets wood as well depending on mode.
You should get a couple of Daedons as they do their heal automatically when hit so they will keep the wolves alive

Kangaroo have to be mate boosted to provide x2 imprint and make them eat less

Hey syntac dont you remember the trikes charge up ability if you do that you will gather loads of thatch. I did my 150 and got cloose to 500 thatch per 1 charge you should try that
deer are the most efficient for thatch, according to dododex. also they do have bleed, if you run KBD(not in ASA yet)
An Argy can carry a wild BABY rex and bronto home BTW...at least on normal growth rates. Once it reaches juvenile it's drag weight becomes too high tho... maybe claim it after it's home 😅

Okay so hear me out IDK if anyone has talked about this or thought about this but with the new buff for the oviraptors whenever a new map is release on asa with dinos that can not be tamed but you'll need to steal there eggs, would you think picking up the oviraptor with a flying tame and flying around with it will be able to pick up the eggs and not agro anything? Thought's.

Yeah the frog wasn't on passive. Although you should have leveled the frog up a bit before taking it into the cave. For the ascending dinos I have found that if you whistle them to follow they should pop back into place. I had one ascend on me a couple of days ago. Was weird to see.

Hey Syntac, I started a new game and I harvested over 10000 thatch using a Trike. I built up the charge and bulldozed every tree around
I always start the island the same way. My first flyer is always a pteranodon. I usually don’t worry about the level. I just use it to fly to the volcano to get an argy. But I always tame 2 so I can keep a spare at base just in case I die. Yesterday I flew to the volcano on my pteranodon and when I switched to my spy glass I had to remove my hand from WASD to reach my hot key but when I put my hand back where I thought WASD was I actually had my hand shifted 1 key to the right. Then I tried to press w to fly forward but I accidentally pressed e and fell to death. Rookie mistake. I spawned back at base and took my spare to retrieve my stuff. I wanted to fly back to base and leave my spare there before continuing to look for an argy. I must have whistled follow all after retrieving my stuff bc when I got back to base I got off my pteranodon to refill my water jar and they where both circling me. They ended up chasing each other in an upward helical spiral all the way to the sky border. I should mention Im playing evolved and turned on flyer movement speed. They where flying too fast for me to realize what was happening and whistle them to stop. Needless to say I had to tame a 3rd to retrieve them.

Syntac the procoptodon has gotten a damage reduction in fall damage and also the procoptodon gotten a buff in melee damage they deal more damage with the kicks and the kicks deal little more torpor now then before
You should see the charge speed on the Direbear now...and they don't get stuck on every little rock you come across.
You can pick them up with the argy I tamed one yesterday

Having the reindeer to lead a pack through the woods stomping down trees would be a big plus, cause pathfinder still isn't quite there 😅
No round two of frog taming? That's ok, would love a sky mammoth, though the original was a wild one. I wouldn't want to go right back in the swamp either, though with the kangaroo might be fun now!!!
