Notes about this speed run: -He’s playing the Japanese version, which has exploits that the international versions don’t have -He’s not tattling any enemies because even though Goombario and Tippi can both tattle enemies, it’s not required for 100% because the Tattle Log is exclusive to Goombella from TTYD -You can only obtain one of each badge in Paper Mario 64. Collecting duplicate badges and stacking their effects was added in TTYD -Using the link chest (or the “PickleFishLips Chest” as Chuggaaconroy called it in his PM64 LP) is only required to be used for the badges while the Jammin’ Jelly is optional but recommended if you have a Jelly recipe you want to do -Anti Guy is an optional boss that you don’t have to fight. If you combine a Lemon with a Cake Mix you’ll get a Lemon Candy which Anti Guy really likes. Speed runners prefer to bribe him with the Lemon Candy so they don’t have to fight him, thus saving time -100% runs do not require the Lil’ Oinks pen since all they do is drop random items -100% runs also don’t require using the Toad’s Playroom since that’s just a collection of mini games that give you a special currency that you can exchange for items. However, badges cannot be purchased this way and the other items can be obtained elsewhere. It’s not like in TTYD where you can exchange Pianta Tokens for items you can’t get anywhere else in the game. Same goes for SPM’s Flipside Tokens -Getting the Diploma from the dojo does count towards 100% -Koopa Koot’s favours also count towards 100% since he gives you star pieces and cards for the playroom
"No Cap" is originally a hip-hop AAVE phrase referring to teeth. Specifically, that your gold tooth is really all the way gold, and not just a gold cap covering. Hence, saying "no cap" means that you're not faking something/lying. The more you know! Also, great run! Congrats!
3:14:27 The loading zone storage here seems a little slower than the cutscene and picking up the bubble berry or does it have do with the items you are about to duplicate? maybe with item duplication it makes it faster.
This is Incredible it's like you're able to sequence break through this game like a Metroid or something. Some things still confuse me tho, like how your hammer changed back to the Super form in the field even tho you already picked up the Ultra Hammer, yet your attack power never changes. It's weird.

There are definitely duplicate badges and they definitely stack in pm64 (fp plus, hp plus etc) so not sure what you mean there
@@JakobeOG he means badges that do attacks i think like power smash?
@@tmoran527 there aren't duplicate attack skill badges tho

Do you really need all 8 Whacka Bumps when you only need one to complete the recipes?
We get 7 for to sell for a lot of coins, then 1 for a recipe if I'm not mistaken.
Whacka must die for the run to be valid. /s
Poor Whacka. :(

Honestly, should have been a cleaner run... Sad that it wasn't a more marginal improvement from last time.
