Hey Matt. Idk where to find these in the UK, but try and find some horse trailer mats from a feed/livestock supply store. They are awesome to put under your squat stands and as a platform for deadlifts. They are not overly thick but they are VERY heavy duty (they weigh something like 45 kg) and will protect your nice floor if you accidentally drop a plate or if you want to do deadlifts inside. They are about 50$ US here and come in at about 4'x7' and about 3/4 inch thick. I have 6 of them in my garage gym and they are amazing for flooring. Just make sure you leave them outside for a few days to air them out because they stink pretty bad of this weird acrid rubber smell for a while.
