I know its not perfect but i really wanted to get this video up for you guys so you could see exactly what goes down when I get my hair cut! I always show up with my day 1 or 2 curls and use less product than usual when i style before my cut! I always love my results but I actually prefer it more about a month later because the curls are even more defined and I have more volume! OLAPLEX is very important if you dont want to fry your curls with bleach! Talk to your stylist and make sure they use it! * im not a professional anything in my posts and videos is my personal opinion!*
**********UPDATE************
After this video I realized my hair was a little more square shaped than i liked so i went back for a touch up. I ended up having to lose way more length to get the round shape back i prefer! Also the old brand (PRAVANA) of bleach caused me little to no damage but after a few washes my highlights have been getting frizzy & I see damage this time using the new brand. So Ill be doing videos to show what ive been doing/will be doing to get my hair back to normal. Starting with NO MORE BLEACH! My curl type just does better 100% natural.

Hey there, I just wanted to say thank you for doing this video, I'm a licensed Cosmetologist (2 years) and I rarely get curly clients so this video unlocked some questions I've had. Have a curly haired client in a couple days so I'm doing some research. I'm absolutely obsessed with your curls. AND the fact that your stylist uses Trionics too!! I actually yelled out "YEA!" when I saw she uses their clay lightener too! As well as Olaplex. Makes such a huge difference, especially for curls! If your stylist hasn't mentioned or done it for you, you should try Trionics' Get It Strate. It's not a normal straightening treatment, it smoothes down your curl shape, so if you're feeling frizzy or unruly, it's amazing. Cuts down drying time. Lasts 7-10 shampoos. I will never not use it on my own hair (frizzy from damage)

I'm almost tempted to make the 3 hour drive out to that salon to have my hair done, haha I'm still struggling with my curl journey. I go to two different salons where I live; one I go to has a devacurl stylist who I have cut my hair and the other I go to is aveda for my color/highlights. I've noticed my hair is low porosity and started using shea moisture's low porosity line. I used strictly devacurl products for 6 months+ and my hair didn't seem to react well to it. So far with shea moisture's line I get nice spring in my curls but I'm till trying to figure out the best cut for me along with preventing my roots from being flat. I'm military and wear my hair up in a bun most of the week and I struggle with getting volume back in that area

Your hair is always beautiful! I use all of the DevaCurl products. However the decadence line of one condition isn't moisturizing enough as my leave in conditioner. Do you suggest a really moisturizing leave in that will also add some shine? I deep condition twice a week.
she did a great job, the results are soo nice. i can't wait for June to get my devacut here in NY. when you go get it cut it has to be how you usually style it. i was talking to a nice women on IG and she said they asked her to come in with it styled but no cream products. my cousin uses creams. what did you use to style your hair before your cut??

i have unruly hair. i can get the curls in order on the sides and mostly the front. but the back like under is never defined just basically a rats nest lol like what is best for fighting the not defined areas super frizziness?

Gurrrrllllllll i cannot wait till my curls are back in full affect. I’m on a little over a year with no straightening and doing all the right steps. The only think I haven’t stopped really is tight buns and I know that’s not helping but idk any other way of getting my hair out of my face :(

I am just learning about a deva cut but wondering why this lady is kind of breaking up your curls and then cutting? Should it not be more cure by curl cut/trim? Trying to know before I get my deva cut... thanks for the video tho and love the results so maybe I am overthinking...😁

It's been over a year since I've gone natural I've been only using deva curls shampoo and conditioner and cantus hair cream I always let my hair air dry and rarely use my blow dryer but I still struggle with split ends idk what else to do to avoid them any recommendations would be very helpful 🙂thanks

How do you maintain the blonde? I just grew out my hair for a year and a half and cut off all bleached hair. Went natural for about 6 months and now I have like a bayalage color. Help lol

what shampoo and conditioner do you use?
As a stylist, I can tell you, Olaplex does NOT speed up the colour, it actually slows it does a bit, trionocs on the other hand will speed up the colour, Olaplex does one thing and one thing only, repair broken bonds, this reduces and eliminates damage, as it's in a water based solution, it will dilute the colour slightly

I really don't understand the deva cut. What is it they do? They cut your hair like that just random? That's not really a cut but a trim?? What's the point really?? I don't mind my hairdresser to cut it wet, so that I actually can see the hairstyle and then blow-dry it with the mashine?

kristina guerrero New stylists learn the new less time-consuming "devacut". They basically cut your hair like a straight hair cut but without a comb. Really sad
Nico Marquardt very sad & looks bad on devacurl I think that they would allow people to be trained in their brand like that.
kristina guerrero the important thing is your curls are cut dry! Ive found that deva stylists each have their own modified technique which to me is fine if you love your results which i do!!
Nico Marquardt This definitely wasn't less time consuming my cut alone was almost an hour long i was in the salon from 12-4... maja is very talented and definitely takes her time to give me and anyone i send her way exactly what we want!!

I like the look its very pretty, but why did she cut it that way. I've seen Devachan salon cut hair, and no offence she's not doing it correctly.
When you wan't a devacut but live in Sweden. This sucks ya'll.
