My first gun was a Ruger Mark I. Great shooter, but a beast to clean, so I eventually sold it. I am looking at either this Ruger or the S&W Victory to replace it.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting It’s a great little fun shoot No issues so far. Went with the threaded barrel for possible mussel break or suppressor later. I like how this breaks down
Well, this is a case study in what NOT to do with an unboxing video. It is always smart, and generally mentioned in many gun manufactures manuals...the need to clean and lubricate the weapon when you get it.
Thank you for the view How did you do it in your unboxing video? Still functioning fine. Came wet, only malfunction has been a few bulk ammo 22LR failure to fire The mag design keeps rounds at correct angle
You can fire weapons with the packing oil on it, it just may take a few rounds to get warmed up as it’s usually thicker than standard gun oil. It’s also a Ruger, I’ve fire several Rugers and HKs outa the box without cleaning. Times have changed since the 50s.
Okay, I tend to agree a more careful inspection of the firearm upon unboxing is a good idea (read the instructions always a smart idea)...and with brand new guns cheap ammo is usually okay, although in .22 that could have been problematic (as you note, you have experienced a couple bad rounds)...we own the lite model, and the gun has been just fine...a key reason we bought a mark iv is the total ease of breakdown, push the button and start cleaning...last note, I'd shoot a few different brands/varieties of ammo before moving the sights, there might be a magic bullet...
@@ronboff3461 it depends on the situation...competition target shooting, use the best ammo accurate in the gun...plinking with the missus and kids, cheap bulk is fine...only gun you own, put on nightstand every night, use best dependable ammo...those can be, and probably are, different brands of ammo...we're talking .22lr here, and there a tremendous variety of ammo...
Not bad at 25 yards I had to readjust 2 inches down. Inch and a half to the right. As a 22 LR it’s really fun to shoot. Only downside is 10 round mags. But my buddy hooked me up with a 3D printed speed loader I want a belt fed pistol. 😂😁
low cost ammo is great for training and fun to plink steel, as well as with new and youth shooters having little to no recoil Yes,I think all guns are expensive, and if you buy carefully you get what you paid for. I still feel like I bought quality that will last several generations without issues. Compared to a purchase of a weapon with no integrity and poor design just for the satisfaction of spending less money. That is a low price with even lower quality, Just my humble oppion
i LIKE MY TARGET, threaded for muzzel brake or even suppresor yeah felt a little like jsmrs bond shooting my buddies with suppressor they even make a target with a longer barrel
@@brandonbrooks8549 I actually have never shot a 17, very interesting round,,,but remember when it first became popular,,,yeah I am as old as dirt LOL What firearms are out there for 17s?

Damn, Raymond, the gun only costs $400. But I'd like to hear why you think cheap ammo is bad for it.
