I started crying when Alia talked about body image. I hate that society makes us feel insecure for how we were created 😢

i think its part of our evolution and survival to focus on the negative compared to the positive. looking for danger, warning signs etc. and wow i'd love to be like yoni, totally accepting of himself! its harder for women and if you grow up around people who critique your appearance. it definitely helps to speak to ones self (especially inner monologue) with compassion though and like a friend. love this episode, greetings from Malaysia!!

As a female I can attest for how differently women are viewed in the society and in the media compared to men. I can fully understand how a girl can view herself through that lens, and it makes it that much harder to just accept herself and "love herself" unconditionally, though that would have been nice in an ideal world.

positivity!!! also I am the opposite of Alia - I love silence when cooking and gardening etc. I also cant walk or run with earpods in. I need to be fully aware of my surroundings hahaha. Sometimes I listen to your pods when cooking though :P

Whilst you guys are over fifteen years younger than me (I guess) I enjoy your conversations, which I think are clever, deep and lighthearted at the same time. I did buy new Adidas Sambas although you think that they’re too hyped. 🤣
But I have been wearing them since 2007 and never stopped. Thanks for making me think and keeping me young! Greetings from Germany! x

There’s a difference between gossip and observation. You can talk about an observation whether it’s someones character or style or whatever but on a healthy level, that should only last in the moment. But once you keep taking about it in current and future conversations and your intentions on why you’re talking about it becomes a projection of your own insecurities, that becomes gossiping. There’s no good gossip.

Wow as a new TH-camr, i can relate to so much about sharing what you do with certain people. Like the body language and all that, Alia, omg i can totally understand because i feel the same way. Thank you for sharing that because it’s totally projection from the other person 🩵

Dude, I agree with Yoni on Body Image 💯
I’ve NEVER wanted to be anyone else- I am me! One-of-a-kind and HAPPY!!!
…if I could chose being anyone else on the planet I would choose exactly me EVERY SINGLE DAY. I’ve always felt that way about myself, I know a lot of girls find flaws in themselves, like Alia was saying…sure I know I have flaws, I’ve had 4 kids now, so even when I work out and get ripped my skin is still soft and my bodies not the same. But not for one single second do I think that’s a bad thing, or do I stand in the mirror and look at myself and wish I could change something. I know girls don’t often think that way about themselves and it’s so rare, lots of girls don’t find me relatable and I struggle with making friends that way because they think I’m “better then them” when maybe I’m just at peace with my life’s experiences and confident in my own skin😅
That being said my husband rarely believes that I had such self-love and acceptance for myself all while growing up because he has been feed media of edited pictures online and thinks I wish I looked like someone else…I just laugh, but to be honest his perspective has put more pressure on me as a married woman then I ever had as a teenager. I’ve gained and lost over 80lbs, 35lbs, 40lbs, and 60lbs with each pregnancy! My children are 7, 4, 3 & 1!
That’s a lot of pressure and alot of hard work! I’m happy and healthy and that’s what counts! When I see an edited pic online I know there’s a real woman behind there maybe wishing she had a bigger 🍑 or something but we all have our struggles and I’m not gonna let someone else insecurities give me some😊

Alia, I do the same thing while getting ready or doing my make up I turn on Netflix and I always watch a show that I already have seen, so I don't need to pay too much attention lol but then I just hear their voices (like a podcast) haha glad I am not the only one 😂

Oh I just so get Alia, I'm sooo similar to her
And also, I so get the part about women in society, It's really hard to understand the emotional part of it all if you are not a woman, and It's not helping at all when men try and tell us how we should be/feel, its so hard, and we need time, sorry Yoni haha nothing personal, it's just is what it is
    Love from Serbia 😊😊😊

Alia is so true about the way of women’s thinking… even if you are objectively beautiful still there are moment you feel every girl around you prettier😢 it’s good to communicate that 🫶🏻🥹

I just wanted to take a moment to say, Alia, I think you are extremely beautiful. I definitely agree with the fact on how the "appearance pressure" is way harder on women than on men, and I could relate a lot to what you said. Nonetheless, I was surprised you mentioned that cause when I first found your TH-cam channel one of the first thoughts I had was how beautiful you are !

I can also relate strongly with the comparison thing, Alia. It’s an ongoing journey but it’s a mindset shift. Your mind wasn’t always in a constant state of comparison. I literally taught my algorithm to stop showing me these girls with “perfect”/photoshopped bodies because I knew these unrealistic standards weren’t doing anything for me. I empathize with you girl. I agree with Yoni; you’re perfect the way you are - as we all are!

This episode really highlights how Yoni is an amazing friend and a wonderful partner to Alia. I resonate a lot with Ali with her inner struggles but it truly makes a difference when you have a partner like Yoni who listens and acknowledges her struggles and checks in even when she doesn't know she needs it. 🥹
