Avicii was my absolute favourite as a child. I remember begging my mum to download his songs on her ipod so I could have my own mini dance parties in the living room. While I didn't know who Tim was, his real name or even his stage name, the way he produced and wrote songs really spoke to me even when I was so young. I'm now 16 and his music still means so much to me. His sound is so unique I've never come across anything like him. I truly believe that his music helped to shape me as a person and my outlook on life. He had such a positive impact on me and I'll forever be grateful for his music. I miss him. Rest in peace Tim, you really are a legend ❤
I’m 12 and obsessed with him and I envy you for being able to know about him before he died. I was alive when he was but I’d never actually knew about him, though I never knew Avicii, I always loved wake me up my whole life.
RIP Avicii. The concert at the Palladium was one of the best in my life. "Hey Brother" is a special song for me because my little brother passed away and it felt like you wrote it for me. 🙏
Call out the stress he was subjected to and the unprofessional conduct the music industry puts producers like him through. This should not have happened in the first place :[
I know.. All he really wanted to do was produce music, he didn't ever want to be on stage because of anxiety because WOW. Anxiety is a very suffocating feeling and takes a huge toll on your body. And the fact that they had so many shows on his hectic schedule.. yeah hes not going to feel well physically and mentally. I wish people would take mental illnesses more seriously, especially in the workforce. If you think realistically and if you I guess want to keep making money.. then keep your artist alive and happy..
His album, Tim.. Speaks volumes. My heart broke listening to it to hear how broken he was in his music showing his feelings he did an amazing job expressing himself through his music.
Ill never forget you Tim. Your music was the soundtrack to the best years and summers of my life. Your legacy will be celebrated for decades to come. You were a true visionary, musical genius, and beloved entertainer. Miss you everytime i hear your beautiful music and compositions, and always think about the positive impact you've left on the world forever. Love you friend.
❤️Avicii will always hold a special place in my heart. Tim’s songs were a huge part of my wedding. We ended it with a compilation and jumped into the river. It was one of the happiest moments I’ve ever had. I wish he could have found the help and peace he needed instead of death.
As a mental health professional, I found this report frustratingly vague. Did Tim suffer from meaninglessness? Disconnection? Self-loathing? Why did he feels so trapped in his circumstances? Stories about suicide and despair that frustrate our empathy with vagueness fail in their responsibility to create understanding, connection, and informed intervention.
I highly recommend the documentary, I believe it’s on Netflix. As a professional you probably could get a larger sense of what was going on from that. I work in community mental health myself, more from an administrative role though, and it broke my heart to watch.
I read from wikipedia that he didnt like the business aspect, why his quote "i want to be remembered for the life i lived, not the money i made". He loved his fans and loved to make music, but couldnt take the stress and pressure of the business.
Omg ppl he was sick and suffering severely physically! The meds the “doctors” put him on caused severe anxiety, this is a side effects, a very nasty side effect, I’m having the same reaction and rue the day I ever sought “help” Tim didn’t want to die, he desperately didn’t want to die he tried everything he could think of before finally feeling hopeless and succumbing, I only wish someone could have told him it was the meds making him feel this way, withdrawal would be hell but he had the money to hide for as long as he needed to, I wish also ppl gave him the freedom to take this time out.
Little Nonni He didnt have the money. It costs a lot to break a contract. He had to keep going until the contracts end and he just couldnt do it. Also he did get clean two times. The meds might have been adding fuel to the fire, but it wasnt what caused it.
*Our beloved tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic searching for answers... he could not go on any longer. he wanted to find peace...* Oh my goooooooood I'LL CRY
I feel that the only reason I was able to fall in love with EDM as a genre let alone house music, was because Avicii put such powerful songs out there and songs that related HEAVILY to people. So I just want to thank Tim for give everyone the opportunity to be able to enjoy and listen to such beautiful Melodie’s and beats.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 He helped me discover EDM even before wake me up but wake me up was that song for me. 😭😭😭😭😭 I wish I would have seen him live once but In know he will stay with me forever because he changed my life 💜
Avicii is in a better place now. If he was back here it wouldn’t be right for both him and us. It’s also our fault since we kept begging for him to keep doing tours but he didn’t want to. We didn’t respect what he wanted.
Brisbane, NSW, Australia, GOODLIFE concert 2014 if I remember correctly. I had the honour to see Tim live! He was the closing act and they played “hey brother”. They had the confetti, the 3mtr long streamers, the bright lights, everybody jumping and every single person there was having a blast. I was only 14 & it was my first experience with EDM but it is an incredible memory to have. So much joy. Thank you for that memory Tim.
There's NO OTHER ONE, TIM! you made such a wave in music, literally no one can fill the void that losing you left. We appreciate your art, and we miss you still ❤
It's a sad fact that those who commit suicide put up a shield of happiness to hide what they inevitably intend to do. When you are depressed all you want to do is make those around you happy because you want to make sure they never feel how you feel
Avicii was beloved all around the world. He was ridiculously talented and very, very creative, and if you look at that generation of DJ's, dancers, MC's and EDM creators/players, he really stood out.
Gone too soon, but still remember as one of the greatest. This was extremely touching to watch, understanding that even people close to him weren't able to find what was really going on. Human beings are vulnerable, no one can ever have a 100% happy life, you sometimes got to struggle to proceed forward. R.I.P. to the one and only Tim Bergling "Avicii".
avicii was so talented, making the songs that he did so early in his career and at a time when edm was really ruled by 2 artists. his music is bar none some of the best ive ever listened to

His music found me in my darkest days... His Beats brought life back again... His memory will always be a huge part of my Journey... Thank You ... RIP Avicii
His lyrics always meant a lot to me (and I'm sure to many others) each song reminds me of another memory or helped me get through something. I loved looking up to lyrics and always hung of to every word. Thankyou Tim/Avicii ❤
Even 3 years after this video, its still a shame that songs like "Island", "Dun Ditty" or Our Love aren´t released. (If you didn´t knew, there are a lot of new songs that got leaked.) Just search "Avicii Leaks" and you`ll find them.
I’m really going to miss him making music. But, there’s so many amazing songs that I will certainly continue to play for years to come. God bless you Tim x
How about advising people to seek professional help regarding mental health, don't just advise people to call a number for momentary suicide prevention. Most struggling with the idea of suicide are not going to call that damn number. It's like kicking the can down the road instead of trying to fix the underlying issues.
I've called the 800 numbers (for veterans and civilians) and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. a bitchy-cunt answered the line and they were really combative towards me. When I sought out a therapist (thru the VA) she couldn't seem stay awake during my 30-minute sessions with her!!!!!
I myself have a serious mental condition & I need help. There isnt any. My doctor, family & friends dismiss me, the waiting lists for affordable treatment is months long. Theres nothing out there to help until it's too late & everyone shares a go fund me to help pay for your funeral & say shit like I'm always here for a chat if anyone needs me. Not you're not. It takes successful suicide for people to realise what youd been saying all along.
I struggled with it and at my lowest point where I almost brought myself to it, I never called that number. All it takes is a place to recover where you're with people that care about you that lift you up. For me, a sense of belonging got me out of that dark place. It took moving to a new country where I have a clean slate, no debt, medical is free, schooling is free, workers are paid living wages, and people are generally happy. Even the thought of going back to the US gives me a ridiculous amount of anxiety since I was completely miserable there. I don't know what will pull you out of it, but emigrating did it for me.
Holding this much depression & emotions by yourself is very hard when all that emotions explode a one day there is no turning back it is all already over. Rest in Peace Tim.
It hurts so much even now. I tear up and sometimes wind up dropping those tears listening to his music and watching him in videos. I dont know why. It just makes me ache inside. I wonder, does he know that he touched us so deeply?
I loved Avcii(Tim),his music had those wonderful infectious beats and I thought the lyrics were really profound..I had seriously considered suicide a few years ago when my beloved grandma had to go into a nursing home..I was totally lost and felt so alone..I had it all planned out, what I was going to do,when I was going to do it,all of that I did not want to live anymore, this life was too hard..but one day I found a day old kitten under a bush in my grandma's front yard and took care of her and decided to keep her..at that moment all thoughts of suicide melted away..she is now a happy and healthy 2 year old..I rescued her,but she saved me..she is the light of my life 😺 (she is the one on my profile pic as a baby)
2022 here and I still think about Tim a lot. I wish I could have known him. Maybe in the afterlife Avicii will be throwing a rave. We’ve never found another one, Tim.

@under t no I agree, we could do with more info but he approved that documentary, we may never know the whole story so we are left with only what we do know.
I am one of Tim’s biggest fans. Listened to Snus, Jailbat, My Feelings for You. What isn’t talked about is his song - Another Day. What this song symbolized, and how Tim wanted to expose the stories behind this song. Of course the mainstream media ABC didn’t touch upon this. Forever in our hearts, Tim. We will shine light on what you wanted to expose.
TIM: “When I Die, I wanna be remember for the life I lived, not the money I made”
"Live a life you will remember."
This is literally the point of life. It's about the life you live and not how much money you earn.

Huh? Did he really say that? It doesn't really make sense to an American. Maybe cause we would never say something like that.

Life is a blessing no matter what circumstance get thrown at you. Rise above and FEEL IT ALL. Never be too busy to stop and appreciate the life you are given. Love with reckless abandon- not just others but yourself as well. Your gifts could be the hope others need to experience to go on with their own life. Without you the world isn’t the same. Let God decide when it is your time to go Home.
Thank you 🥺❤️
Thanks for this
That was beautiful.
@Meg B thanks Meg for your beautiful uplifting words. I am at your situation and feel so unmotivated but I get up every day but not enough to cross things off my list of goals and time is decaying away. How did you lift yourself from such a dire state where there is such a deep drought of hope? Many thx if you do respond back. :))☘️⭐️😊💫
I miss this man so much. Music will never be the same without Avicii. RIP Avicii
Can we stop calling him "a DJ"... I KNOW he was more than that..we all do. RIP Tim
He was a legend
He was a music producer, not DJ
@@jujasname he was a music producer and even a DJ
@@grifthmusic yes but he didn't liked DJing as much
Yeah, he was truly an artist
Call out the stress he was subjected to and the unprofessional conduct the music industry puts producers like him through. This should not have happened in the first place :[
They are all blood suckers. Only care about money.
I am not a fan of EDM, but Tim was a complete genius, his death truly was a tragedy.
His album, Tim.. Speaks volumes.
My heart broke listening to it to hear how broken he was in his music showing his feelings he did an amazing job expressing himself through his music.
◢ ◤ RIP Tim 😇 we will never forget you because of your beautiful music. Love and peace to his family & friends. Such a loss 😢💔

Above all those accolades and titles.
I work in community mental health myself, more from an administrative role though, and it broke my heart to watch.
he got killed for this video:th-cam.com/video/Xq-knHXSKYY/w-d-xo.html
*Our beloved tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic searching for answers... he could not go on any longer. he wanted to find peace...*
Oh my goooooooood I'LL CRY
I feel that the only reason I was able to fall in love with EDM as a genre let alone house music, was because Avicii put such powerful songs out there and songs that related HEAVILY to people. So I just want to thank Tim for give everyone the opportunity to be able to enjoy and listen to such beautiful Melodie’s and beats.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 He helped me discover EDM even before wake me up but wake me up was that song for me. 😭😭😭😭😭 I wish I would have seen him live once but In know he will stay with me forever because he changed my life 💜
Victoria Gonzaga same 😭
Same I was actually planning go to tommorowland and listen to him their but he past away the year I planned it I was devastated
Same in elementary School when i first heard his song levels I what really got me into edm
Tim really had a talent for writing great melodies. Miss that guy and rest in peace.
I wish Avicii was still here, living in peace and making music
Avicii is in a better place now. If he was back here it wouldn’t be right for both him and us. It’s also our fault since we kept begging for him to keep doing tours but he didn’t want to. We didn’t respect what he wanted.

The Mozart of our time. I will always remember him and he will always have a place in my heart.
TIM was like he had came from another GALAXY not ours. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM IN MY HEART.
For me all the music that Avicii created were amazing, nowadays I still listen to his songs ❤
RIP. "Waiting For Love" got me through hard times in my life. I am sorry that I couldn't be of any comfort as much as you had given me.
Wake me up came out when I was homeless, it helped alot.
Avicii was beloved all around the world. He was ridiculously talented and very, very creative, and if you look at that generation of DJ's, dancers, MC's and EDM creators/players, he really stood out.
Avicii music changed me more positive person. RIP Legend
Honestly, this has given me strength. Thank you for your bitterSWEET story.
I can not imagine the pain his family still going to this date... God Bless them.
avicii was so talented, making the songs that he did so early in his career and at a time when edm was really ruled by 2 artists. his music is bar none some of the best ive ever listened to
I usually skip watch videos skipping to more interesting parts of videos, this man deserves my full attention for this video, he really is an inspiration.
You're such a great artist can't nobody take that away from you you do such very good music while you did do the music and your music will live on forever tim you are good man you rest in peace big man you're not going to suffer no more but let your music live on forever RIP

B Daniels Official thank you for how you put your words but it’s a sorry fact that the help is not always available
Reading these comments made me want to encourage you to keep going :)
Avicii I so wish you saw yourself as we all did. SO talented & loved. RIP ❤️

Had the honor of seeing Him multiple times in Vegas !!! The way he would mix the music was godlike! Fell I love with his style from the start
I loved Avcii(Tim),his music had those wonderful infectious beats and I thought the lyrics were really profound..I had seriously considered suicide a few years ago when my beloved grandma had to go into a nursing home..I was totally lost and felt so alone..I had it all planned out, what I was going to do,when I was going to do it,all of that I did not want to live anymore, this life was too hard..but one day I found a day old kitten under a bush in my grandma's front yard and took care of her and decided to keep her..at that moment all thoughts of suicide melted away..she is now a happy and healthy 2 year old..I rescued her,but she saved me..she is the light of my life 😺

@Hawk Holloway sthu, soulless demon
He was so obsessed with making Tim a star he forgot Tim was a person with needs and feelings. He seemed to be living his own dream through Tim.
Individuals like Ash Pourmouri need to be prosecuted and locked up for exploitation. They treat those under them like objects or money machines rather than human beings!! They’re no different from the likes of Lou Pearlman, Sam Lufti, and Dr. Luke. They’re nothing but animals!!

@under t no I agree, we could do with more info but he approved that documentary, we may never know the whole story so we are left with only what we do know.

Wow. Avici was truly am amazing songwriter and I already heard some songs like „The nights“ from him. I am so sad that he is dead...
