Wonderful review! Finally someone who doesn't dance around, play loud music in the background and gives good information! I just bought this and can't wait to use it because soon I will no longer be able to chew foods so the nutribullet gives me a way to consume food to stay alive and well! Thanks again.
Really liked this review. It answered my questions about vegetable juicing. I too have a Breville juicer that I've had for years and I need an easier and quicker way to juice. This video has helped me make my decision to buy the Nutribullet. Thanks.
I found your review very helpful and positive. I can't wait for my NutriBullet to get here. My immune system is shot. I suffer with allergies every morning and night. I'm always sick in some way. So I'm looking forward to turning things around by getting those healthy macronutrients directly into my colon to boost my immune system. Thanks again for the review!
nice review. good tip on the water--i sometimes add a bit more water but i will try to avoid that in the future. I also include a few i cubes even with frozen fruit. i would only add that folks should make sure to wait a few seconds to ensure the motor has stopped rotating before removing the cup from the base.
I love my Nutribullet. To make sure mine is clean I put a drop of dish soap and warm water, and blend it for a few seconds. It really is a great kitchen appliance!
Put the frozen stuff nearer the bottom. I.e. some spinach/kale and then some frozen berries then some spinach. Although the blade is supposed to cope after a few months it will leak a brown liquid. If the extractor is already spinning fast when it hits the frozen stuff thete is less stress on the blade.
I loved your review...thorough, informative and clear...only problem was the volume...needs to be louder. But thanks for giving all the info I need to make an intelligent purchase..plus I liked the recipe for your drink :-)
Hey there just wanted to say great review, it helped me make my decision to invest in one. Although I ordered mine from khols right before Christmas, got a pretty good deal.120$ before tax for the 900 Pro series, free shipping, and 20 dollars in khols cash back. Ive been using mine everday. I dont think there is a bad combination of ingredients, love trying new things, I 'll have to try your recipe out.
You got very little yield from your Breville juicer because it was a centrifugal juicer, which literally shreds up your greens and berries. You need a masticating (slow) juicer for good yields on those types of produce. But the, I get the feeling you already know that :-)
Just bought one last week....love it so far! It really works well! If you want something that totally pulverizes everything, get a Vitamix. But the Nutribullet does a good job and breaking most everything down. Got mine on sale for $90.00 and am very happy with it!
You are right about the clean up. I just run mine under hot water and let it dry. I only clean the blade side and never get the bottom side wet. It's still as good as new. Thanks for the recipe,I try and mix mine up and add different things in daily.
So far I like this better than my Breville. The first time I used the N.B. I didn't let the ingredients blend long enough - it was like grazing in the back 40. lol It was nice being able to take fresh tangerines off the tree to use and actually taste them!
Thank you for answering my question as to whether frozen fruits can be used in the N.B. I've read everything in their literature and that question was never addressed. I was very concerned as to whether it would hurt the blades.
Good review. I've been using mine for about 6 months, and agree with almost everything you say. I too like using some frozen fruit with my mix. I would caution you though, that the nutribullet people recommend that you run it for no more than one minute at a time. Also, its very important to not overfill it and to make sure you always use water with it, because it needs the correct amount of water to avoid damaging the blade or the motor One of the earlier reviews says that their unit stopped working after a couple weeks. That's probably because of insufficient water or over filling the cup. I had some problems with my extraction blades, & I found the nutribullet people very helpful in getting the problem corrected. I juice every morning for breakfast using ingredients similar to what you review here. I've also found it very helpful once I've emptied the cup to juice again with just some almond milk, this allows me to catch stray fiber and nutrients that cling to the container. The self-cleaning feature of this product, not requiring a lot of disassembly to clean, is a huge benefit
Thanks, guy. This has been the most helpful, down to earth review so far... You seem to know a good bit about health, nutrition and even the gastrointestinal system; I am going to research the health benefits of pumpkin seeds, almonds and flax seed. Again; THANKS!
Great video review of Nutribullet, thanks Rich! Remember to wash the spinach and other veggies and fruit really well or use organic whenever possible because pesticide residual can undo some of the positive. Berries like raspberries, strawberries and are very hard if not impossible to wash off pesticides because they hold it in crevices. I just bought Nutribullet Rx which has a heating element so I can make hot fresh soup, love this thing!!! I like veggie taste also and you have to get used to it. I don't use much fruit because of insulin spike which is not good if you're trying to lose weight. I will take some ground cinnamon to neutralize the insulin so it won't spike so high from all the sugar in the fruit.
Excellent review, thanks! My biggest concern is how well it breaks down flax seeds when making smoothies, because I don't want whole seeds in there, since they won't break down in the digestive system. Does the NutriBullet get most of them, or are there usually quite a few whole seeds left in there? I would just use the milling blade to grind the flax up ahead of time if I had to, but I'd rather not take that extra step.
Possibly, put in a little less stuff and fill water to max line and blend for about a minute to a 1:30. Should blend enough, the pulp is good fiber, just get use to it.
Hello Richard, helpful video. I'm trying to decide between Ninja Master Prep Pro & Nutribullet, it's a tough decision. If I could give you a tip, the moving camera made me kind of dizzy, and when you finish the smoothie I would like to see you pour it to see how smooth it is. Thanks.
Good review . I'm gonna get one as they're available in UK now ,although they cost a lot more than 100 dollars. rip off UK but I'll still get it as it looks amazing . .
Appreciate the review, but why didn't you open the blended mixture for us to see the results of the blending? I would think that is pretty key to the review, no? Is it smooth, is it clumpy, does the pulp float to the top and need to be strained (as so many have said?) I think the consistency of the blended mixture is the missing piece in your video, at least for me. But thanks you for taking the time to post it.
laughed at the end about the breville juicer. haha it is a project i take longer putting it together then drinking the juice. then you have to take everything apart and clean. i have a nutribullet havent used it yet.
UN *** BEEE **** LEAVE **** A **** BULL : I absolutely love the innovation, creativity, and logic implemented to engineer this machine, as I absolutely : LOVE IT !!!!!!
Wow that all sounds good..I think i'll go ahead and get myself one. I saw them at walmart for like $99 and if it's gonna be better on my health then i've got to get myself one...
Thank you for the video. I just bought one and I am going to try your recipe. I am glad I can use frozen fruits because fresh fruits are so expensive. One question though, how does it really taste? Some of the recipes with all of the green stuff, I wonder can a person stomach the taste?
Kale is a little more bitter than spinach. Baby spinach is great nutrition and you wont taste it at all over the strong taste of fruits, especially banana is a great masker of veggie taste. I myself eat healthy and dont mind the tastes of veggies but I understand for those who don't. Fresh baby spinach is the way to go.
Depends if you want fiber or not. Also, juicers you need to use a ton of stuff to get one glass of juice. Costs more $ in the long run for the same health benefits from this $99 Nutribullet.
Towards the end of August, the Farmer's markets start popping up all over the place, if one lives in a Metro area. It's a great time to enjoy cheap fresh produce. I have seen times when we purchased like 3 or 4 cucumbers for a 1.00 It's really fun also, to make the rounds of all the produce and fruit stands.
Tap water?! Keep filtered water in the fridge for clean and colder Blasts! Plus you only need 30-45 seconds brotha, certainly not a "minute, minute and a half." Your Blast was blended for 35 seconds (5:40 to 6:15), which is perfect. Great video though. Be well sir!
I love my nutribullet. Thanks for your tips. I just have one comment I had to leave....I never ever use tap water....who knows what's in there ! I always drink and use purified bottled water. Sometimes I'll use coconut water in smoothies too, yummm !
I got rid of my Breville for the same exact reason but when using the Nutribullet I'm still getting too much pulp/skin. I basically used the same recipe from the one in this video. Would it have something to do with not blending long enough?
I really liked your vid even tho it is a little biased-- thank you. I mainly juice and so instead of water I use vegetable juice. I use smoothes as a way to get fiber since I have no teeth. There is no way I will give up my juicer.
got one in UK recently......but been a bit scared to use it as i can't get my head round throwing spinach or greens in.......does the fruits you choose to put it knock out the sour taste?.....as when i've seen the official adds i can't tell if they are just acting up that it tastes nice for the camera.
Do it,I thought the same, especially my meat & potato husband, just make sure you put berry or a green apple in with it, it sweeten up the mixture and you'll never know the spinach is in it, strawberries, mangos,etc...
I just purchased the nutribullet. BUT! The jar stuck in the base when I first used it! I am so mad! Have you come across the same situation before? Any idea how i can get the cup out of the base?~~
Here too,I love mine and depend on it so much, that I actually bought a second one as a standby. I've had my first one for over a year and it still works great, but not taking any chance of it playing out one day🍌🍍🍓🍅🍈
i know it acts like a blender but a blender leaves chunks and a juicer removes fiber. this is what is called an extractor. as for that guy that is worried about CYANIDE remove the pits first. if your not to lazy. hey this is a great machine.
The literature in the N.B. specifically states which fruits seeds & pits should not be used. Though I appreciate their warning, I'm hoping most people would read the information that's written in bold!
My apologies for the rude comment regarding this video, a slight hubris on my part. Anyone trying to better themselves by eating healthier is a good person in my book. I hope that my comment did not discourage you or dishearten you in any way. I wish you good health!
That is different than water fluoridation. Mercury is also one of the most poisonous things, but a inactive form of it is used for tooth fillings. sodium fluoride is used to fluoridate water; hexafluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6) especially in the United States. The fluoridation of water is known to prevent tooth decay and is considered by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as "one of 10 great public health achievements of the 20th century"
I wouldn't fill it up so much with stuff. You only really need to let it spin 10 to 15 seconds without nuts. With nuts maybe 30 seconds. The machine will last longer that way too. Personally I don't like the juice being too watery either and don't mind some small chunks.
I love my Nutribullet but I am already on my second one. This time I bought the extended warranty. If you get it through Amazon or any third party the warranty on the machine is null and void. If you have the machine warranty and bought it from an authorized dealer, you have to pack up and send the part that isn't working, in my case the motor. They will access it and send you back a replacement part. With the extended warranty you just take it back to the store and they give you a new one. Some of the things you must not do....overfill, that is NOTHING above the fill line, run it more than 1 minute, let any liquid run over into the motor or put regular size ice cubes in it. The new one I got does not leak oil (the first one did) so they are improving it. Do make sure you read all the instructions and follow them. I am really careful with this one and hope it lasts longer. In spite of all this I still love it and use it twice a day. I suggest if you want one, buy it and an extended warranty and be careful!
There's so many products I want to buy. I was looking at the kuvings whole slow juicer in white. $430. And the breville ikon die cast or breville hempisphere blender which is cheaper. Anna & Kristina and Americas test kitchen did reviews of them and they were quieter than the vitamix. I don't want a vitamix because it's tall and has a tricky lid with ridges that trap food. But I still want to try it because it's popular and should last me for years. My dad always picks whatever appliance in the store and they were crap. Our old blender would leak big time. Had a magic bullet once and it was good. Mom thinks I should just get a nutribullet cuz it's cheaper. I think my idea of a juicer is dying out. Seems too impractical. And carrots are more nutritional when steamed; you might not put those in your smoothie just mentioning b/c I'm reading eating on the wild side and it's a good book.
Wonderful review! Finally someone who doesn't dance around, play loud music in the background and gives good information! I just bought this and can't wait to use it because soon I will no longer be able to chew foods so the nutribullet gives me a way to consume food to stay alive and well! Thanks again.
Thank you !
You did an outstanding job!!! Thanks so much!
Really liked this review. It answered my questions about vegetable juicing. I too have a Breville juicer that I've had for years and I need an easier and quicker way to juice. This video has helped me make my decision to buy the Nutribullet. Thanks.

I am considering purchasing the nurti bullet. Thank you for the demonstration. .
Loved it! You gave me so many ideas of items I could add to the fruits and veggies. Great - thank you so much!!
Thanks for nice review. I too was tired of my juicer and it's cleaning issues. Can't wait to try my new NutriBullet just bought it today.
I love my Nutribullet. To make sure mine is clean I put a drop of dish soap and warm water, and blend it for a few seconds. It really is a great kitchen appliance!
Thanks.very good presentation.
Thanks for the informative video. I just bought one and I am looking forward to trying it and making it a part of my daily intake.
Ive been wanting one for a year and now i will finally get it ! So happy. Going to try this recipe out with some protein powder
Put the frozen stuff nearer the bottom. I.e. some spinach/kale and then some frozen berries then some spinach.

Thanks for the review, very informative and helpful.

Thank you so much for putting up this review, it was so helpful and now I am convinced to buy one. Happy juicing!
I purchased the Nutri Bullet for my own birthday present in July, as I ........ loooooOOOoooooove it !!!!
Just bought one last week....love it so far! It really works well! If you want something that totally pulverizes everything, get a Vitamix. But the Nutribullet does a good job and breaking most everything down. Got mine on sale for $90.00 and am very happy with it!

Very good. I received one but I really didn't know the value. This video really helps.
And also thanks for that great tip on eating raw vs cooked veggies!! I didn't know that about the body's white blood cells reaction to cooked.
So far I like this better than my Breville. The first time I used the N.B. I didn't let the ingredients blend long enough - it was like grazing in the back 40. lol It was nice being able to take fresh tangerines off the tree to use and actually taste them!

The manual says to do it for a max of one minute cuz you can burn the motor
Thanks, guy. This has been the most helpful, down to earth review so far... You seem to know a good bit about health, nutrition and even the gastrointestinal system; I am going to research the health benefits of pumpkin seeds, almonds and flax seed. Again; THANKS!
Great review!!!! We have one on the way.
Great job, learned just what I needed to know. Santa's coming!
Great video review of Nutribullet, thanks Rich! Great review. Thank you for the demonstration. I will get mine today. Costco has them in stock for $45.
Are you sure?? Maybe they have the Magic Bullet for that price, but doubtful they have the Nutribullet for $45.00.
You are right it was the Magic Bullet. I did find the Nutribullet for $64 at sale365.tv/ with free shipping.
Jerry Wright wow that's a great price!! It really is a great machine-You are going to love it!!
Excellent review, thanks!

I bough one today at JCP for $99.99 , it dose a very good job ! I am very happy with it !

Thank you so much! Now I am totally going to get a Nutri-Bullet!
Just got a NutriBullet about a week ago and I'm loving it.
Thanks for the info !
I like adding a small square or two of 70-90% dark chocolate, which is packed with healthy antioxidants to my smoothies.
My birthday is on Sept 23 and my Dad's is on Sept 26. I asked him if we can buy 1 Nutribullet for our birthdays! I'm so excited!!!
Good review . I'm gonna get one as they're available in UK now ,although they cost a lot more than 100 dollars. rip off UK but I'll still get it as it looks amazing . .
When you buy it, it comes with a great recipe booklet to show you different replacement shakes and detox shakes, etc!
You have to use the flat blade for break up the flax seeds and nuts...It turns them in to powder
Great review! Excellent point about the frozen berries - much cheaper and makes it cold!
Appreciate the review, but why didn't you open the blended mixture for us to see the results of the blending? I would think that is pretty key to the review, no? Good review man! Thanks alot
So how is it working out for your health thus far and have you noticed any changes or feeling better in any areas?
laughed at the end about the breville juicer. haha it is a project i take longer putting it together then drinking the juice. then you have to take everything apart and clean. i have a nutribullet havent used it yet.
Make sure you tighten it suffiently.
UN *** BEEE **** LEAVE **** A **** BULL : I absolutely love the innovation, creativity, and logic implemented to engineer this machine, as I absolutely : LOVE IT !!!!!!
It grinds them up pretty well
Got this about a year ago, awesome machine.
Wow that all sounds good..I think i'll go ahead and get myself one. I saw them at walmart for like $99 and if it's gonna be better on my health then i've got to get myself one...
Thank you for the video!
Probably a few days. To keep color and freshness you can add lemon.
Thank you for the video. I just bought one and I am going to try your recipe. I am glad I can use frozen fruits because fresh fruits are so expensive. One question though, how does it really taste? Some of the recipes with all of the green stuff, I wonder can a person stomach the taste?

How long will the smoothie last after mixing, when placed in the fridge?
Fresh foods come from local farms that have farm stands, etc. If you have them near where you are, use them.
Towards the end of August, the Farmer's markets start popping up all over the place, if one lives in a Metro area. It's a great time to enjoy cheap fresh produce. I have seen times when we purchased like 3 or 4 cucumbers for a 1.00
It's really fun also, to make the rounds of all the produce and fruit stands.
I'm getting one! It's much easier than my juicer! Healthy all the way baby..
Where can I purchase that big bag of frozen fruits/ berries? Thanks
Wish we could buy it in Oz ztores= buying online can be a drama if there are any product issues.
This was an Excellent review man!!
Thanks man! I need to do a new review soon, maybe Nutribullet 900 or Rx. And a MyProtein review!
Thanks for the video
I got rid of my Breville for the same exact reason but when using the Nutribullet I'm still getting too much pulp/skin. I basically used the same recipe from the one in this video. Would it have something to do with not blending long enough?
is this better than say even the most expensive juicer?
That was a good review man
i`v been using mines for like 2 and a half years now and feal much better
I really liked your vid even tho it is a little biased-- thank you. I mainly juice and so instead of water I use vegetable juice. I use smoothes as a way to get fiber since I have no teeth. There is no way I will give up my juicer.
Where do you get flax seed from ?
Great job, told me everything I wanted to know.
Sounds Great!!! Try some Sunny Delight Tangy original instead of adding water and it"S Awsome!!!
I want some fluoride for teeth strength, and I do need protein as I do athletics and need a bit extra at times.
very good review, how long have you been using ? and is it sturdy or will it last long time ? thanks ..
Yes, it's built very well.
can it liquify carrots????
Nice!
Thanks for the review. How do you put in apples? Do you have to cut them up first?
I would cut them in quarters and remove the stem and seeds which are bitter.
+Prudence C the seeds have cyanide in and if you chew the insides they are sweet like almonds not bitter at all idk where you got that from
got one in UK recently......but been a bit scared to use it as i can't get my head round throwing spinach or greens in.......does the fruits you choose to put it knock out the sour taste?.....as when i've seen the official adds i can't tell if they are just acting up that it tastes nice for the camera.
Do it,I thought the same, especially my meat & potato husband, just make sure you put berry or a green apple in with it, it sweeten up the mixture and you'll never know the spinach is in it, strawberries, mangos,etc...
Dachshynd H Run hot water over the blade & in up & you're done...
I just purchased the nutribullet. BUT! The jar stuck in the base when I first used it! I am so mad! Have you come across the same situation before? Any idea how i can get the cup out of the base?~~
This thing is awesome!!!!
could you make an almond butter?
Yes. There's a milling blade. Exciting huh?
I like my nutribullet. Just recently pulled it out again.
Here too,I love mine and depend on it so much, that I actually bought a second one as a standby. I've had my first one for over a year and it still works great, but not taking any chance of it playing out one day🍌🍍🍓🍅🍈
:)
Oh no, the nutribullet can do all of that! Comes with grinding blade to grind your own coffee, flax meal, etc.
Great. Better GI, better sleep, better skin.
It is not recommended to blend longer then 30 seconds. It's not good for the motor.
I really want one of these
Get one yet?
Upstate New York; very good tap water luckily.
Local supermarket in bulk or organic health department.
i know it acts like a blender but a blender leaves chunks and a juicer removes fiber. this is what is called an extractor. as for that guy that is worried about CYANIDE remove the pits first. if your not to lazy. hey this is a great machine.

Bed bath and beyond have no hassle return, buy from them.
Thanks for the info. Too late for me but someone else may benefit.

And carrots are more nutritional when steamed; you might not put those in your smoothie just mentioning b/c I'm reading eating on the wild side and it's a good book.
