Britain is finished.!!! I’m not saying that to scare monger but rather from an economical perspective. Wages are low, they have a socialist system that has incredibly high taxes. The government doesn’t enforce its laws and corruption is increasing amongst politicians. Not to mention inflation. This is normal in nations and empires. There’ll always be a cycle of rising and declining nations.
Well if we are still working and it’s still Christian - We are not finished. If it continues then yes eventually and likely within 10 years the UK is destroyed London patriot march - Do your bit instead of giving in
We don't have a socialist system - all our utilities are private companies, have been since the 80s and so we are worse off than in the days when they were publicly owned. Our taxes include healthcare and pensions and it is much cheaper than in the US where medical insurance is really expensive.
@chrysalis4126 ignoring the copium, if you can't recognise that between selling our utilities to foreign private ownership combined with our current socialist government will be the death of the UK, then you're either under a rock or worse
Get it right. Criminal capitalism has brought us here, nothing to do with socialism. In my area, we had a huge influx of new arrivals around May time this year. More dodgy barbers, convenience and vape stores have appeared all over the place. None of these places are busy. All I see whenever I walk past any of these places is these young foreign men all sat around on their phones. About 10 minutes walk from my Home, a convenience store opened from nowhere in 2020. The owner is arabic, one of the young guys who works there is also arabic. Another guy that sometimes works there is Kurdish. Over the road, around Oct/Nov time last year, a dodgy barbers shop suddenly opened. The guys who work there are all kurdish. A couple of months ago on the same block and just past the spa shop, a vape store opened from nowhere too. These places aren't busy either. In the shopping mall, there's Africans, Pakistani, Romanians, Syrian and other nationalities all roaming around spending money. Most of them look scruffy and they are of really low intellect too. You see the odd family and I mean the odd family because most of the new arrivals are young men. I see them arriving with their suitcases as they head to their arranged pick up point where a driver meets them and takes them to where they are being housed. We have no end of homeless people who can't get any form off assistance, seniors unable to heat their homes, families struggling to feed their children and people reliant on food banks. It's sickening to see these daily arrivals getting everything they can when our own are being shoved in the gutter. I'm ashamed of what the UK has become.

I worked 25 years in the U.K. 1997 to 2008 it was good if you worked hard. Taxes were a bit high, but services worked and mortgages were available at 3-4 times of gross salary. The banks transferred so much losses and their debts to the private sector that services decayed, taxes increased and mortgages were too small to afford housing. So the cost within rental market exploded. The young are now in the worse possible position. Low salaries, inflation, student debt and declining quality of life in general. Of course those that can will leave. What other choice do they have.
I was born in the mid 1950's and in terms of quality of life, it now feels like the 1970's. Good jobs are like hen's teeth, very rare. There's a sense of despair and that the good times are over for the UK. If I was young, I'd leave.
And housing too. TEN YEARS AGO I tried to rent a basic affordable flat in my home town (not a big city - not a rich place). Basic 2 bedroom flat. FORTY people were there to do a group viewing. It's worse now. Maybe 60-100 people competing for one rental. Jobs market the same. Employers spoilt for choice. Population is broken. Absolutely broken. Nevermind the constant sky fog.

She’s disabled and the uk is not safe anymore due to high immigration from countries that don’t hold the same beliefs about sex and women. We were homeless when I was growing up and spent time living in tents, there was no warm hotel room and 3 meals for us like there are for illegal immigrants. It’s not racist to want the country you born in and paid taxes to, to look after you and your family and not put foreigners first.

@@MickeyAgyeiProbably doesn't satisfy the experience requirement. Change is happening so fast that employers in certain sectors of the economy are likely to be looking for people with skills which didn't exist when the job applicant was at school/university. This has been going on for years. I experienced this problem myself. I was only able to extricate myself from this vicious circle when I trained to be a maths teacher. Fortunately, a second order differential equation of the first degree is the same today as it was fifty years ago, for example. In stark contrast, when I was an undergraduate, I and my fellow students would do our computing assignments by submitting 'jobs' on punched cards. By the time I graduated, many employers were looking for candidates who knew how to use various software packages which had not existed while I was in receipt of my education. Time moves on, the expectations of employers of someone of a given age change, so by the age of 30 one is expected to have developed a profile of experience. If this is lacking, one is at a competitive disadvantage with the 22 year olds emerging from college with more contemporary skills, and so the vicious circle continues. One could spend one's whole 'working' life trying to second guess the job market by taking courses here and there, only to discover that the next skill highly sought after by employers is beyond what one has already learned. There is a limit to this nonsense. Fortunately, I was eventually able to get a good job in SE Asia where I was able to save money in a way I could never have done had I remained in the UK. The problems that the great majority of young adults face today are insane.

I left the UK in 2008. Economic wise Britain is a very dependent nation now. So as a country it will deteriorate. So I moved to Australia. Low population, very resource rich. Massive potential. So I moved to Australia for my kids and their future. It was by far the best decision I have made. My daughter is a registered nurse earning double what the UK pays and works less hours. My son is an avionics engineer and he is 26. Has a bayside house worth over £600k in UK money. It's his second house. He made £400k on his first house. I am a maintenance fitter. Without overtime I make around £50k. Last few years I make roughly £75k $155k a year. I don't think I can earn that in the uk. I have solar here my power bills a month are at most $100. About 50 quid. Petrol is about 80p a litre. Car insurance is cheap and apart from in city's parking is free here. Clear higher standard of living in Australia. Lot cleaner. Any litter around you will see some people actually pick it up and drop it in a bin. That's the mindset here. Plenty more to do here. Parks are awesome the council spend a lot of money on them. We have walking trails. Mountain bike trail parks that are fun. Plenty to do on the water. Fishing, take out a boat, kayaking, snorkelling. Great place love it here.
@lbunnygordon1133 Good question, it can be difficult. At the moment I use Workaway and Worldpackers, working in bars of friends , doing hospitality work. House sitting is another option. Doing this lowers the cost of living abroad. At times it is hard, but it is considerably better than living on the street. You only need a few thousand pounds.

This is so true because everyone I speak to in my life also wishes they had the means to leave and talk about, almost fantasise about where there would like to leave to go to and it’s definitely on there agenda. It’s sad because they would want to go different places and probably we wouldn’t see friends family again as they would create new lives with new people. I suppose they’ve weighed that up in there heads and decided it would be worth it sadly. A few group conversations iv been involved in. You make some good points about the people in the uk and I’ve never been to Ghana before so I can’t comment, but I don’t think I would honestly last very long in Africa and it’s due to the climate
The west is in total collapse and even those living in Asia and Africa are soon going to be in shock when the dollar, pound and euro starts its inevitable collapse. You will see soon those currencies will be worth a fraction of what they are worth today and the purchasing power will plummet globally. When this happens and you don’t have a business receiving local currency in those countries you are going to have a very very serious problem. Imagine the dollar going for a one to two or one to three ratio of the cedis. Your standard of living will evaporate and all of a sudden you will have to heavily manage your money. If you don’t own a house or apartment you will be in trouble. If you don’t own a business you will Be in trouble. I tell people this whenever they ask me for advice on living abroad. Invest in the country and don’t just use the country as a cheap way to live. If you’re depending on a pension or SS you are in the wrong all ready. Do your best to get 2nd and 3rd incomes not tied to those western countries just in case the ish hits the fan. Learn to live like a local and not like a westerner to cut cost down. Nothing good last forever and this goes for the trade value of currencies. These BRICS nations are about to change the whole earth wealth distribution and it will directly effect our currencies on the other side of the earth in the west.

Well I understand, I really do why highly skilled workers might have a shot at a better life elsewhere in the world. The old phrase "The grass is always greener on the other side springs to mind". We still have lots worth striving for and staying for in the UK I like to think, sad a situation as things might be right now, granted. We have freedom and democracy still, far better than many other places on the planet. And things can and do change politically speaking if people are prepared to vote their way out of it, protest, keep debating and arguing your opinion, and see the bigger picture for what it truly is and could be. Britain is worth fighting for. More positivity please, more courage....stand up for what we are all about here. But good luck to all.
As a Brit living in the UK, I can honestly say that if I could leave, I'd be on the first available flight out of here. Things are absolutely dire. It's so expensive to live here. Ridiculously high taxation, High rentals, high mortgage payments and anyone wanting to own their own home have no chance. There's been no investment for decades. Everything was sold off years ago. Everything has been done on the cheap and there is no stability in any profession these days. The UK also has a comedy central public transport service, a health care system/service that isn't fit for purpose. Crime is through the roof, the streets are so unsafe, there's zero law and order. The UK is a failed state.

The rest of the world has PLENTY to offer...Great weather, great beaches, friendly people, lower cost of living, lower taxes, attractive women...Find a way to make income online. Well what does everyone expect in the UK. Invite cheap labour into the country then do not expect wages to go up. When the UK left the EU there was a chance for wages to rise due to shortage of labour but the government changed the rules and allowed inflows of cheap labour to still enter. This was seen in the construction industry. So any signs of wage recovery against years of cost of living increases was stopped in its tracks. Now immigration is out of control and minimum wage is a way of life for many. No opportunity’s for the young to get on. So many failed government policies that drained the coffers. This country used to pay for its youth to go to University but not any more. Most probably that money was spent on the failed wars we fought over the last twenty years and one that still is raging in Ukraine, a ton of money wasted. No wonder people leave.
If it continues then yes eventually and likely within 10 years the UK is destroyed
London patriot march - Do your bit instead of giving in
Socialist system? Britain has a monarchy, a deeply entrenched class system and massive disparities of wealth and opportunities 🤔
The last socialist labour govt we had left office in 1979 with this country in the black for the first time in our history. Criminal capitalism EVERY year since and BILLIONS in debt EVERY YEAR SINCE. The capitalist criminals have stolen everything paid for by the people and raped the economy.

Why can't you get hired if I may ask?

Perhaps AND I SAY THIS WITHOUT ANY MALICE .Their are some who are concerned about the millions of outsiders coming into the UK. Who want to cancel its culture, language and Christian way of life .

I left 22 years ago after 9 years in London. I saw the furire of the UK back then. Andi I was right.
Good on you.
i left the beginning of 2000, being of Caribbean descent born and grew in London, its like im not liked in the uk, why am i here amongst racist and hypocrites, can't go forward even the English are struggling in their own country, so how am i going to make out, no point staying, and reading stories here just made me happy in knowing why i left when i did
You cannot accept too many immigrants, let them not to respect British culture and censure British people for not agree with this type of policy without suffering the consequences
Same as other countries lads same as other countries when it comes down to immigration laws and that goes to all foreigners of non English speaking countries that don’t speak English very well. It’s not an Islam thing or a hard thing just an economically and culturally thing. Got no problem with all religion coming in and cultures as long as they respect the culture and speak decent English to get by or no English and you get left with people that are just look uncultured and disjointed.
Come to America we love you guys, from America. 🇺🇸
I left and moved to Spain, best thing I ever did 👍
I left in 2008. I live in America now, and my lofe is so much better here than it would have been if I had srayed in the UK.
Its been very sad to see the decline happening. When I visit family and friends, it seems noticeably worse each time. I suppose it's different for me, because I'm seeing it as a series of snapshots, whereas it would seem more gradual for someone living there day to day.
I don’t blame Brits for leaving the country if I was young again I would leave.
if i was young again i would stay in uk but do things differently than before, thats the truth, but i left 2000 because i saw where uk was going and i didnt want to be a part of the struggle

Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

As someone who left the UK seven years ago, I would highly recommend it - if you are willing to learn the language of your new host country.
A lot of them have come to the Americas, which is why we a seeing more and more stores with GB food, culture, and specialties. Which is kinda odd for Americans to see.
No point in flogging a dead horse.
All our lives are being wasted..brexit saw to thst it was to close immigration to EU...not to stop any old person turning up here...be honest. .
Thing is, if it’s so expensive to live etc if people are leaving the cost of living should start to come down?
If you're mid 20s/30s and can leave, you should try. I left in 2013 aged 40. No regrets.

UK is finished, as the guy in London zone 5 said. Accomodation in the UK is the biggest scam imaginable, transport, food and energy as he said will take 100% of a person's income. Please help me find work in Africa. I am qualified as a chef and electro mechanical engineer. West or North Africa would be my preference. Jobs here do not pay enough to thrive, hardly even survive. I see people turning to lives of crime, or females selling their bodies and I worry about where society is heading. I do not want to live in such a shallow and hellish culture any more.
