- Robin Williams. A comic genius with an electric mind. He went from one memorable film role to the other. But behind the upbeat facade of Robin Williams was a man plagued by depression. We look back at the journey and tragic loss of a comic legend.
Robin Williams, Hank Azaria, Gabrielle Carteris, Jackie Chan
Directed by Roxane Schlumberger

The only person I asked for an autograph ❤in 2003 I was in NYC and went to open mic comedy show. Suddenly he showed up.just went on the stage for couple minute's and made us laugh. He never forgot where he came from.later he was standing in the lobby and drank some beers like a normal person.what a wonderful human being
HOW FORTUNATE YOU WERE!
I miss him severely who is the most funniest man I've ever known I really can't believe he's gone God love you Robin Williams the most wonderful comedian I've ever known next to Jerry Lewis you will still be missed
Love him and his acting was sad when he died may he rest in peace 🙏

One of the rare times I saw my mom really laugh. Now they're together in paradise
You don't go to paradise if you commit suicide.
I cried for weeks after his death. There will never be another that could touch him. A true blessing that left a whole in this world that will never be filled. He must be entertaining The Great Creator now!
Surprisingly enough, the first time I ever saw Robin Williams on Mork and Mindy, I immediately saw and recognized in his soft eyes and bright smile that he was undoubtedly depressed. It was a gut feeling out of nowhere really. It was ineffable. He was THE greatest comedian to me of all time. Keeping up the happy persona was a real challenge, accomplishment and difficult im sure and I more than admired and respected him for that. Mrs. Doubtfire is one of my favourite comedies.
Robin, I truly hope you are in paradise, free of all hurts and demons that played havoc on your beautiful and charming and witty soul!
That was an most excellent share about a most unique and amazing person. The documentary tells of only one person, a celebrity,, who delt with his demons in one way but his story, as unique as he was is not unique to humankind. There are thousands of people who must deal with demons but only he had a gift to make people laugh as only he could. Yes,, we miss his talent and very likely will never see and hear another quite like him but no,, struggling with demons is not unique to Robin.
About 24 hours ago I wrote a comment about seeing the sadness in Robin Williams' eyes when I first saw him as a child, when he played the character of Mork. Especially reporting back to Orson. And that authenticity of sadness was part of why I was drawn to watch. You are the first person I have come across who has thought much the same about his sadness as Mork. 😊
The only celebrity that i shed tears when he died.
I still tear up hearing this man’s voice and seeing his movies. It’s still hard to believe that he isn’t here, but he will be forever here on film and our hearts! A man with a generous spirit and a kind heart for others!❤️
I love him and miss him. He made us all laugh and not take ourselves so seriously. He was a very special man and a great talent. My favorite movies are Dead Poets Society and Mrs Doubtfire. Rest in peace, dear man.
I actually consider him a great actor first who happened to be one of the best comedians ever. Rest in Peace. I pray you’re up there with the Big Guy!!
I always loved Robin Williams. When he passed away the world lost a Special person with an Awesome personality!!!!
Despite his obvious talent of delivering humor, many of his movies were significantly poignant, provocative and sensitive in topic. (love lost, divorce, suicide [in more than one movie], PTSD, cancer, struggles of gay acceptance, impending death, mental illness, immigration troubles just to list a few) Robin was hysterical and made us laugh for decades, but he was so much more!
He left us too soon and missed!
Well said.
Robin Williams will always be a great actor and comic. He played his parts so well in all he did he brought us all joy
Enjoyed work And Mindy show couldn't wait until the next one
I no he's making Jesus laugh now

I'm happy, I'm sad, for I was, I am, and shall be a Robin Williams adoring admirer. Blessings on his children, for they are his greatest accomplishment! Thank you. 😇🥰💃
Robin Williams has no pause in his comedy show, this is why he is the best comedy of all times, and if he does he has control over the pause.
Williams was an extraordinary human. I miss his energy.❤
Robin Williams could do serious part in a Sean then turn it into humor. Make you cry and laugh at the same time. Amazing man.
I miss him so much. The world got dimmer when he left 😪❤️👏🇦🇺✨️🎭
There will never be a man like him again in our lifetime
He was a totally unique man that had a talent for acting and comedy that was not see before and sadly will not be seen again for generations
He was truly that one in a billion type of person
The range of his acting and the sharp comedic mind that could take a scarf ore a pair of sunglasses and make comedy gold with it is truly the thing that sets him apart from all the rest
He could riff on one prop for several minutes and it would all be fun and make sense in some way 😂😂
He was truly exceptional in that way
You will be deeply missed but also deeply appreciated for your legacy
Thank you for all the times you made us laugh and cry 😂😢
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND FIND THE PEACE YOU DIDN'T FIND AMONG US 🙏🏻😔 ROBIN ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love and thanks from Norway 🇳🇴❤
I miss him, too. He was gifted all right. Very intelligent .
Robin Williams was a great person. When I was lonely and thought bad things .l would watch one of his videos he. Could make you laugh in the worst of times. That is a gift from God. Sorry he isn't with us anymore..keep watching him on videos he can still make you laugh and happy.
A beautiful mural was made of his face on Market street in SF. I think it went away eventually (I no longer live in SF, so not sure), but it was a beautiful thing while it was there.
I like many will miss him, but I'm glad his pain is over.
He was definitely my favorite actor... especially in Dead Poets Society, what dreams may come good will hunting and awakenings
I loved Robin Williams. I will always remember his death because one on July 11, I was diagnosis with young onset Parkinson’s disease. This was exactly one month before Robin passed away. I can’t fully imagine how much pain he went through, because this disease robs you of who you are. I have the start of dementia (Leweys body) from the Parkinson’s, and I can fully understand why he took his own life. Day to day of losing who you are is the worst than death or having people take pity on you. You were and always will be the best
My husband growing up in Philadelphia, was an only child but had so many friends he never was lonely or ever thought it an issue. This says Robin was bullied, then he was "voted most popular" in his class. Sounds like 2 different people.
My favorite actor of all times. Captain, my captain I miss you man. I am also in recovery I’ve seen it too many times, and my favorite actor is gone. RIP Mork from Ork.
I can't believe it's been 10 years today. I'm still not over it. We love you so very much, Mr. Williams.
Years ago my roommate at the time surprised me with last minute tickets to see Robin here in Toronto. After his outstanding performance we took a chance and waited at the stage door. When he came out there was a crush of people and he kindly stayed and signed autographs. I said "Thank you, for being here, Mr. Williams!" and he said "Thank YOU for being here." and he scribbled his name in my program :) One of the best memories of my life. Just those few precious seconds.
The "Super Star & soul of laughter" forever!!!
He will always be missed 😢😘
People with such talent should be immortal!
He is❤
in 1980 i was daunted beginning my very first employment for a nationalised gas company in Britain as i never even wanted a job but in the the 2nd week one of the young fitters - a huge guy called Lefty looked down at me & in a deep voice announced
“ You’re going to be known here as Mork “ ….i couldn’t complain one bit .
THE BEST DOCUMANTRY ABOUT ROBIN EVER.
His wife made a great one after Robin died. She explained Lewey Body disease, it helped me understand why he took his life, when he was so loved
@@meman6964I saw that and yes it was an eye opener of how he was doing and struggling whit himself knowing that he was sick and had no way of doing anything with it
I'm glad that his wife was not bitter in anyway for his decision to end his life
But instead made that documentary about it to tell the world why it happened
Thank you for all the laughs and tears you gave me from my childhood with Mork and Mindy to dead poets society and Aladdin as a young man and all the rest I felt like I grew up with him and when he died I cried 💔😢 and I don't cry for famous people
But whit ROBIN WILLIAMS it was different I don't know why but I just was
MAY HI REST IN PEACE
O My captain my captain ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you from Norway 🇳🇴
He was such a special person actor humanitarian, an example of a friend who shows up for the sad and glad
So brilliant ❤
You Have Surpassed Mork, The Comic,The Actor, RIP.
Almost 10 years later, it is still hard to realize that he is gone! Thanks for the laughs, Robin!
Very sad. He seemed like a genuinely kind person.
Thank you so much. This is one of the most complete look at amazing achievements, challenges, and insights into a true legend-and a gift to humanity: the one and only, Robin Williams.
His Candle Burned to Bright! and think knew the price he had paid. when Dementia started to kick in, was tired and he knew it... what a powerful Kindest soul this Man was. We will never forget you! Mr. Robin Williams.
a true legend, comedic genius, and brilliant actor- so many gifts and he graciously shared them with the world- RIP Tobin
To all of his family and friends and fans I am really! So very sorry for your loss 😢💔 and also I am sending out my thoughts and prayers he is gone but he will never be forgotten
Thanks for sharing this story with me and all the others. I really enjoyed your work in this biography of a special person .
You're welcome. So glad you enjoyed learning more about Robin.
Robin Williams is a tormented soul but such a hella of a man with the simple ability to make people laugh & what a wonderful trait to have. Loved watching/listening to him over the years. Too sad he felt unheard & committed suicide. 😢
tragic... and yet it's still ignored... to this day... I can relate. Loved the moment he met Koko
Very nice documentary. Thanks for sharing..
Thanks so much for the documentary! I just really loved Robin, thanks!
Always He Be The Man

Estelle . Robin was many wonderful things but most of all he made us laugh &’feel like he cared about us, his fans. The day he died my daughter. & myself spent most of the day crying. He made us laugh so hard & it broke our heart when he left us. But we be have to remember how extraordinary he was & all the laughter he made 57:33 57:33 57:33 possible in our lives. Rest in peace. Estelle
Robin Williams also went to US military bases in the Middle East to entertain the troops. He was fearless and big hearted. 💖 RIP Robin Williams

Nicely done. Thank you. He definitely was one of a kind !
He like comedians… Martha Rae, Dame Edith Average…ie Barry Humphries, Imogene Coca all had that special quality that made you laugh to the point of tears. GOD BLESS THEM….THANK YOU FOR YOUR ART….TEARS OF JOY THEY ALL ARE AT PEACE.
28:00 From what I've heard, each of Robin's scenes in Mrs Doubtfire was filmed three times. Firstly as PG scripted, then as an adult version, and finally as a totally off the rails ad--libbed variant.
And mostly the default version was used in the final cut.
But the stock exists to remake the film as an extreme fever dream version of it's beloved version.
Right! Mrs Doubtfire wasn't a comedy, it was about the lengths a loving father would go to to be in their children's lives. ❤

Thanks, Jackie Chan inside the documentary - Hah
Thank you.
Thank you
Such a sad loss for the world.
I remember him as the voice of the genie in Aladdin and the voice of the genie again in Aladdin and the King of thieves
Turned on a dime a boat master craft
I miss the laughter. That disease was a horrible way for him to go. It affected his brain. Everyone thought he just killed himself. Now it's so hard to tell. He had hallucinations and lots of other symptoms. This was the tears of a clown, I mean really. He was so quick witted it was hard to keep up with him, but I loved his movies. He had more layers than an onion. There was so much pain that drove his humour on. Gone too early, imho. This makes me smile, even just listening to him. He was very special and funny, though he had his demons.
I remember seeing him in Mork and Mindy.
Mathew perry Robin Williams......we understand❤
I miss you!
It seems that there is always a balance that the universe puts out. A man whose mind fired so quickly and sharply for so long gave up prematurely.
SAD HAPPY SOUL R.I.P
Ran away❤
Soon As You Saw Mork An Mindy You Knew Robin Has Been Loaded on LSD Before " Known As Luving Spiritual Direction
It's hard for me to believe he took his own life

I went to Redwood High School and it's NOT a boys/men's school...
Good video but how can you not bring a hook feel likehis greatest movie
I miss his laugh
Lewy body dementia is a horrible disease 😢😢😢😢
Gosh how I miss the humor of Robin Williams. On that note a poignant statement is he used his imagination alot as an only child. My thoughts go to now. Kids. EVEN with siblings seems there's no opportunity to just be Kids and playing. This has been going on for over 30 yrs in mainstream populist America. The inflation that's going on today started back in 70"s. Apologies for bringing all this at a video about Robin Williams...however if anyone reads this. Thank you. Lets change something/everything 😀😀
Yes, and until the very end he had complete control over his body, and power of his will. He had a free will. He was an actor. Don't you think he could act like he was sick if he wanted,? He died in private, a regular person on his own terms in peace and love by his own volition ad believe it or not, God's Law of True Love acts in mysterious ways. Everyone is unique. Let him rest in peace and don't believe the lies. Robin had his wits about him. He did what he wanted to do based on Law. Gods Law. He wanted to be alone in private. He is God's Son, like Jesus Christ, as God is our witness.
