I Found the BEST FEELING SETTINGS in Session! (in my opinion)

- The other day on stream, you guys helped me go through all of my advanced and game settings in order to find the BEST settings in the new Session 1.0. Because Session has such an in depth menu system, getting your settings fine tuned and feeling good is CRAZY important, because it can really change the entire feeling of the game with NO MODS at all! All of my settings are in my Discord server (linked below), so feel free to try them out and change then to whatever feels best for you!

Oh, you're still reading the description? That's kinda weird. I guess I'll tell you a bit about myself. My name is Garrett Ginner, I like skateboarding, playing video games, and having fun. Loving the abundance of session videos Garrett. I started playing on legacy as my old hands struggled with the controls, since 1.0 ditched legacy, its forced me to put the hrs in to learn it and it's so much more enjoyable.
I have been enjoying session way more than xl, the game feels more rewarding

I agree with it feeling more rewarding. I’ve been playing with manual catch, and now even just flipping into grinds can feel like a challenge. It’s so fun

@@HI-pi1er yeah worse part is finding a great bunch of guys to skate with only for the game to crash, and I mean every single time. This has gone on since PS4 and I’m on PS5
Trick tip: you can kickflip body varial in this game by doing a ghetto bird input but turning as soon or even before you pop instead of waiting to catch the hardflip and the turning. It looks dope as hell and would be cool to see in your part

Dude... I also come from Skater XL at launch day... and totally with you. This game is just an even more steep learning curve, which at first with Skater XL, you wouldn't think is possible. But... it is!
Anyways, love your uploads. Thanks for showing that you are human :D I love that there's a huge community on this right now. I was trying manual catch, but switched back for now until I really get used to stats and camera settings.
The filming in this game is just great the preview u made with the board hitting the camera looks so real it's amazing , I really love this game
The stats can absolutely be universal! Have the high pop a bit high and control the pop by holding down the stick 😊

Sick playing and thanks for all the content! I'm a few days in the game on ps4, finally got around the Skateshop Meetup challenge.. Daewon's bank to ledge to manual flip out in the street is impossible so far. Loving the game as a skater, the progress is realistic, to a certain point of course. I'm subscribing yo!
I've found that adjust grind friction is really help a lot and high pop out if you want to cheat
just wait til you got to do daewons' giant rock challenge
I really wish there were short clips showing the specific orientation of grinds in the trick list would help me understand what I’m trying to do a lot better without a TH-cam video since i don’t skate but LOVED skate 3 and picked this up recently and I’m really enjoying my slow progression to getting decent lol. Just found your channel recently and have been loving the content I’ve seen. Much love

I love the Concave boards. As soon as I saw them in the shop it was time to grab a deck and rails and relive 80’s skateboarding
My preference is to keep my settings based on what you can reasonably expect from an average pro in terms of pop height and push speed. If that's ever too much, the game has mechanics that let you back off, so it's up to skill to not jump too high or go too fast.

For Impossible’s if you put the board pop to body distance all the way down you will get nice Impossible’s
I love the pressure flips and the low pops with late tricks look beautiful when pulled off good
Are late shuvs broken for anybody else on PC? Nomatter how slow I try to do them, board goes so fast it's like it's teleporting
small trick i found out to easily change your settings is double click the pause button and it will automatically bring you to the stats menu :)) enjoy

I’m super consistent in Skater XL, I just started Session a few days ago. I can wholeheartedly say SXL is a baby game. Session is the real sh*t. Playing every day until I’m good
You should skate the mini ramp in the SF Skateshop-- I got a pretty sick clip on it!
Honestly manual catch feels so good in the game with big drop input.

The Stats Game is so underrated
The boring thing about session is that you dont have to try to make tricks look good they just do , in Skater XL you have to actually learn how to make a trick look good
Change your premiere sequence settings to 1440x1080 on your part ;)

you didn't say where to find the stats/settings?
To do a hurricane, don't you have to pull it back out in the same direction you went in? That's how I've always thought of it (since the 80s)
i.e. - you have to rotate 180 into it, then also back out in the oppositted direction.
Things have gotten strange with popsicle decks. What fakie or switch or what. With shaped boards there's a clear and distinct difference in both appearance AND actually doing tricks. On a shaped board a fakie tail slide is not a switch nose slide; a switch nose grind is not a fakie 5-0. HELL! A nollie is a good deal different from a fakie ollie on a shaped board. Especially ones with varying concave. A four inch nose is plenty to do pretty much any trick. Even three perhaps.

Your guys hair would look better a little bit darker, or it needs a base layer that's darker and the outer layer can be lighter (but still darker than it is now)

I use stats accordingly, like you would in real life. You'd have different speed and ollie for a 5 stair than you would a 15 stair.
i´d love to see a quick menu for different purposes. lika a thoughts menu. I wanna skate stairs? i press button xy (whatsoever) and select between rail, stairs, transition etc.. i know i can adjust different custom settings accordingly but still i´d the inner thoughts menu (or maybe breaking the 4th wall and talking into the camera) would be a great idea.

Goddamn you guys all make it so easy man, I’m enjoying the game but I’ve been struggling I can’t even lie I’m way more fluid on skater xl and skate 3 but I’m just having the hardest time of my life rn with the game but nevertheless I still really enjoy it.
If you skate in real life, get out of the idea of it being a game. Act like you’re controlling yourself actually skating. It’s a skate sim and there’s a massive learning curve. Because it’s physics based, it’s almost just like skating in real life.
i started on xl first as well, definitely the easier game. went to session, definitely more challenging and with this update, i dont even look at skater xl anymore. i never skated in my life but i’ve become real consistent with majority of the tricks on hardcore settings with 0 grind alignment. so if i could do it and never skated, you can too

My stats were created to be universal and catering to realism. My gravity is much higher too. I base my stats on the common obstacles that people would skate in a real life skate video.
