@@paul1548 The classes are much more simple and defined so there there is more mindgames involved with the limited toolset. A single muckup also results in a quick death, because of lack of defensives and that both raises the stakes and makes it more fun for the viewer

Classic is so much more enjoyable than retail as a new player I feel like I wasted my time on retail lol content is doing the same dungeons everyday it seems
Back in vanilla one of the guys at a lan center I used to play at was one of these annoying rogues that would restart fights by blinding and stealthing over and over and claim he was an amazing pvper. He went to the restroom one day and all his keybinds were deleted when he came back. We never did find out how that happened. I think of that guy every time I see a rogue gouge -> sap -> eat.

@@its_Jere Mage is deep frost obviously, since he as Barrier and used double block in the fight, and while I agree that a rogue that is solely PVP focused can be a nightmare (I regularly kill T1/T2 mages on my Krol Blade hemo/prep rogue) I still think this mage blew it big time on the rez. He could have had him.

Regardless, my argument was that he flubbed the attack when he rezzed, not the original attack. Pshero had no cooldowns left and no more engineering tricks left other than a grenade, which did him no good. The mage lost the 2nd attack when he evocated instead of simply running further, or re-sheeping. Yes it is easy to analyze after the fact, but I've been in those situations before and they are truly maddening when you realize how badly you fucked up.
Is what is required... Notice the mage didn't use much, if any, in comparison. Because they didn't need to. Sometimes skill won't overlap class match up. Not in vanilla... Unless you have your batman belt.

Its the long battle of wits ending with a quick move. On retail there's little downtime between exchanging blows unless you're kiting.
What the other poster said but also things are much cleaner in classic, easier to follow the flow of the fight.
