Jesus came to us so that He could truly identify with us experientially and not as just knowing about our humanity. We cannot truly Identify with a parent who has lost a child, except that we have experienced that loss ourselves. Yes we can have compassion and express our sympathy, but if we ourselves have suffered that loss, we truly can identify with others who too experience the same loss. The same is true with divorce, death, or serious illness or disease. If we have lived through these things ourself, we truly can relate with whatever the circumstance someone may be going through. Jesus Came to us so that He could truly say to us, I know the sorrow and grief you feel, and I truly care about you and what you are experiencing. As well He came as an example of how to faithfully carry our own crosses. A good leader, leads the way, he just doesn't point the way. Jesus led the way, even to death.
Yes, Bishop Strickland, the Holy Spirit is indeed on my mind in multiple perspectives this month. You helped me connect more dots. I am fortunate to have a "Holy Spirit tree" that my wife of 30 years and I call it. Long story. Please know that my wife and I are recent followers of Yeshua. You are one of the shining lights in my journey of discovery! I know that you will continue being "who you are!" That is a very good thing indeed.

The traditional Latin Mass community celebrated the Ascension based on the original calendar, Thursday May 9th with a mass...it's a nice thing to accommodate Jesus, not the other way around. God bless you Bishop 🙏
So did my parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia - and no Latin mass was needed to celebrate this holy day. Let's not create divisions, my brothers and sisters, that do not exist. Read Pauls' letters. Those who create division, who fall into pride, who seek to run things 'their way' instead of submitting to the early magisterium of the church, are in error. You can love your Latin Mass but do not think it is the somehow the only innately 'right' way. As previously supported by John Paul II and Benedict XVI, it was A way that was accepted, not The way. Bishop Strictland is spreading the Gospel in a greeter way than he probably ever imagined! The New Evangelization is going forward, with or without the current pope’s approval. Bishop Strickland i take care of my son who is mega disabled and i can't find anyone to take care of him due to his needs. We have not gone to mass since 12/12/21. We wath mass on tv. I feel so much closer to my Lord and we have been readkng all of Luisita picarreta books for the padt 7 years. Pray for us so we can live in God's Devine will. We gave him our fiat
Just this morning my rosary meditation moved me to imagine how the glorified bodies are accommodated in Heaven ~ glorious natural settings? amazing music? clear understanding of God’s will? no doubts or conflict? never lonely or bored?
Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” I like asking believers how they can possibly think their faith is respectable, given Jesus said faith is worthless, since you can't expect obedience when ordering mountains to move?
Jesus’ Apostles were given the power to heal the sick. The Holy Spirit came down and dwelt within the Apostles. The first Apostles moved the hearts, souls, and minds and have created The One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church! We’re here 2000 years later! I have Faith. I believe. And that’s enough for me. I’m a tiny mustard seed and I will grow into a mighty tree that my Lord lovingly tends. And may peace be with you.
Jesus was busting their chops on having faith. Many can have great faith and not literally move a mountain. But great faith can cause great change in each other and the world. Not every statement has to be taken literally. There are figurative truths as well. Lessons to learn. There was never a literal train that could, Choo Choo up the hill is a tale of perseverance. Did not literally happen but a lesson to teach children.

That's great but you should read St. John of the Cross. Going to a more reverent Mass is not the height of mystical union, and does not replace growing in holiness and prayer. All spiritual attachments, including rituals and music etc are to be purified by God via prayer, penance, and humility. Let's not be proud because we go to a more reverent liturgy, Byzantine, Latin, or a reverent English Mass. Also, the Scripture says without charity we have nothing. Are we avoiding the beatitudes and pushing away people, because of pride in the Latin Mass, or are we growing in charity and wisdom? I have nothing against the Latin Mass but let's be careful.

Doesn’t the luminious mysterys interfere with the rosary psalms of 150 ? Are we required to pray the luminious mysterys ?
