That’s brilliant and you explain it in such an easy way to understand. I am learning such a lot with your tutorials. Thank you so much for the time you give to us all.
Glad you got it sorted out., Take care of your self as your voice is cracking, hope you are not coming down with a cold or sore throat. stay safe. Ashley
Fantastic Video once again, mine did work out the first time, but it was good to see another work around, which could help with other projects, it helps you to think of ways round it, Thank you x
Thank you you’re such a wonderful teacher. And at the correct pace. I still don’t know what the application will be for my doing project ms but... I’m sure something will come to mind eventually. Just to know how to space out curved lettering.... is awesome knowledge. Now that my snc2 has just been sitting collecting dust for over a year.... I haven’t had internet at home for a while and taking my laptop to the library just isn’t the way for my creative brain to work. So..... now that I have a hotspot on my phone I will begin many new projects. My daughter ms Favorite is turning her drawings into a scanned in image then have the machine make a large shrinky dink drawn image and cut it out to color and bake it for a charm. I should have her make a charm bracelet for her grandma’s while were all here in “covid19 lockdown. I’m sure looking forward to this being a faint memory and o e for the history books. Again thank you for your time to make and edit this video especially how you zoom in.
Thank you glad you like the ideas. If you scrapbook you could make one of these to fill a 12x12 and use it as a background for a photo on a layout. I mostly make cards so thats why i designed mine originally. I love the idea of your daughter drawing things and using the scanncut to make something. When my daughter was little i got her to write Happy Christmas Nana and scanned it i then cut it out of vinyl and used the negative on a glass and used etching cream, so Nana had a personalised glass. Please try and use your machine while we are all in lockdown, you will be surprised at how you can use it around your home, especially if you have any vinyl. make labels for containers, signs personalise mobile phone cases. just keep busy and occupied and saty safe.
Thanks Ashley, your work around is very helpful, it is so frustrating when something you know has worked then doesn't and you have no idea why. I tried the original way on windows 10, thought that was problem. Wish Brother Canvas Workspace could gave an explanation rather than an error message but perhaps that is not possible. Stay safe. 🌹
When you are in Canvas workspace online, if you click on the ? in the top right hand corner, then go to Help PDF and choose that all the error codes are on page 31 not sure if they help though.
Hi. I love your videos! What version of Canvas are you using? I very often see different tabs etc than on mine? I.e. your colour chooser looked like pencils🙃 But there are various other buttons that are in different places
I just use the latest version thats available for both the online and download version. the reason my colours look like pencils is because i use a Mac and thats an Apple thing
Hi Ashleigh, have had another go following these instructions but I still get the same error message for overlapping lines. My flowers have lines that overlap like a loop in the centre on a couple of the petal areas. Therefore it just won't do the weld. Never mind, obviously something to do with the way my flowers draw when I type them on my Windows computer. Cheers x
@@applelover53 Mine are spaced like yours but it made no difference. I increased the size of the flowers to 690% and could see the loops in the flowers. I did a screen shot but can't post it here. I can try a different flower I suppose. :) Thanks for trying to help me :) cheers x
Hi Sharon & Ashleigh, like you Sharon I have followed the update but still can not get the original circle and flower circle to weld, however I did manage to weld the offsets together, have no idea why one welds and the other doesn't! I then created a 0.04 inset from the welded offset which although not quite the same as the original is usable. Hope that makes sense. have no idea if it will work for you but it's worth a try :-) Just a quick update, I had been trying to create the file as per instructions for the last three hours. Just after I posted the above decided to give it one more try, went back in, deleted everything and started again. It worked like a charm! I have no idea how or why, there has to be a glitch somewhere. I work on a PC running Windows 8.1, don't know if there is a compatibility issue as it is an older version?
I got it to work with the offset but still the error message on the original one. I am completely stumped and frustrated. I did try switching to mm vs inches and restarted my computer did the update and still not working.....

Thanks for that. Solved my problem.
Great glad to help.
Knew you'd crack it! Thanks. although I never had a problem your original way. Software, eh tut?
I know me neither until i did the Q&A Live the other night lol But this way does seem to work more consistently Thank you
Finally after many many attempts, I have managed to do this BUT it won't work in millimetres only when I converted to inches
@applelover53 can you do this with other shapes not text?
Yes

Maybe try spacing your flowers further apart using the distance spacing at the top of the page and try it again.

Thank you, feel tired but ok so far, thank you for letting me and everyone else know it worked. Take care

Does this only work with wingding shapes? I can't get it to work with normal shapes from program. I'm using windows version.
It doesn’t work with shapes I explained that in the original video
Looks like the CoronaVirus...
