This is why the movie gets even more exciting once Dr. Jenning reveals his dark overlord powers and the chase and climax are on thir way! An awesome scene to one of my top films🤠
For those asking why Beverly is telling Howard to “cut it out” @ 5:37 - I believe it’s because he’s 3’2” and doesn’t need to “crouch walk”.. “crab walk” or whatever to not be seen. Or maybe simply because he took “this way” literally. 👍🏼
0:53, as a kid, i never caught the "adult humor" behind the "quacker" line. Suffice it to say, the movie makers probably don't have confederate flags hanging in their garages...
Just think, if this movie would have performed well at the box office I think other filmmakers would have been inspired to bring Marvel characters to the big screen much sooner. I know at one point James Cameron was interested in making a Spider Man movie. It would have been released by 1988. Then We could have had the first Iron Man movie in 1990. We would have had the MCU firmly established by 1995. That would have worked out better for me because I was still a kid in those days. Better late than never I guess.
Hot take time: i think this movie gets WAY Too much Hate! It's definitely no Avengers Infinity war or Spiderman into the spiderverse, but there are WAY worse Marvel movies out there. For instance, There's Thor The Dark world, Electra, Fant4stic, Captain Marvel, Xmen origins: Wolverine, Blade Trinity, Morbius, Iron Man 2, i could go on, but you get the idea. Also, This movie was just unfairly set up to fail from every angle, what with heavily promoting it as George Lucas's next big movie alongside Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and the puppet they made for Howard breaking apart on the first take, but i like it enough to call this movie a guilty pleasure.
Hey guys from Universal or people who comment can recommend me a really good comedy movie from Universal like Neighbors or movie like A Morte te Da Parabens?
This movie has been my most favorite one ever for 25 years.
People don't realize that Howard the Duck is part of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Spiderman story arch
The 80s was some crazy ass times 😂 glad I was born in em 😂

These special effects here are better than CGI . ILM did a great job plus the physical effects added more realism to it .

Seasoning the ducky alien is hilarious.

Howard the Duck could've saved the universe early if he quack-fu'ed Thanos in Endgame.

I can't believe that. This scene is much longer than at the VHS! How is this possible?
The best part is the people running into pies
0:53, as a kid, i never caught the "adult humor" behind the "quacker" line. Suffice it to say, the movie makers probably don't have confederate flags hanging in their garages...
