It would be cool there's a new Howard the Duck movie that faithfully captures the Steve Gerber Howard the Duck comic books, as well capturing the personality of Howard from the comics so well. The film would turn out really great if it does that. I adore the Howard the Duck comic books by Steve Gerber. It's sad Howard the Duck isn't given another chance to get another film adaptation. Hopefully he gets one in the future and get a director that captures what make the Howard the Duck comic books so great.
@Crumpus they are not comic accurate- Thor may not have “pulled up” with a sword but how about an axe? Hulk may not be skinny but how about completely just not wanting to fight at all during Infinity War? Comic Hulk would be even more pissed off and ready to fight Thanos again. Iron Man is dead. Captain America’s shield is made out of pure Wakandan Vibranium. Mutants don’t exist currently except for two cases, Wanda and Pietro. The Infinity Gaunlet hurts the wearer instead of turning them mad. Rodey is alive after Civil War. Ego is a celestial. Black Widow is dead. Fantastic Four doesn’t exist. Ozcorp doesn’t exist. I could go on and on why MCU is NOT comic accurate. It is based off of the comics, it’s completely separate from the comics.
Marvel should make a howard the duck movie gun toting cigar smoking drinker with a good story a pg-13 content regards to the gun smoking and drinking it would be watchable
With the Multiverse they NEED to get Chip Zien to reprise his role as Howard from that abomination of a film. And Seth Green as the MCU Howard together for an MCU movie! And get George Lucas to direct it!
It's unfair to associate Howard the Duck himself with the film negatively considering that the Howard the Duck comic books are genuinely really great. 80's Howard the Duck film is not a comic accurate adaptation to the comics it's supposed to be based on.
I have loved Seth Green and watched him act for decades now but Seth Green sounds too much like a 5 pack a day a gravel voiced New York accented chain smoker whose voice alternates to sounding like Beavis from Beavis and Butthead. The guy who voiced Howard in the Howard the Duck movie sounded 100xs better.

Poor Howard. He has more screentime in animation than in live action. He's one of my favorite characters in Marvel comics.
