Fascinating to see the level of detail and control of actions to make sure nothing goes awry. Back in the late 80s/early 90s my brother did a bit of club level racing. Pit crew was me, his wife and a bag of spanners!! Good times, good times. He got a sixth place once and had his name in MCN and a prize money of a fiver. Bet he's still got the cheque...

Great vlog! I learn so much from these videos you wouldnt believe. Now here's the thing. I do a lot of trackdays on my cbr600rr and my pace is pretty average, i'm no racer. Other than a base suspension setup I've never changed anything on the bike. Partly because i don't have any problems. But also because maybe I don't recognize things to improve because i'm so inexperienced. Now my question is ; how do you go about and "find" these problems to improve the bike. cheers!
Good question! The really fast guys keep pushing until the bike is either sliding, or they can't hold the line, or similar issues. Then we set about working out why. Very rarely is it damping related, as suspension damping is so good now. It's almost always how we control the geometry with ride height, wheel base or springs

We run 35 front 25 rear on the superstock bike, pirelli can pressure check on the grid, so we never go lower!
