I finally get Why David is called a man after God's own heart. As much as his sons betrayed him, he moarned them, he loved them. He wanted them to be dealt with lightly. Initially i thought he was weak, but it's showing God's heart towards us. Always loving, always seeking for us to return. There are consequence, as Adsolum couldn't be in Davids presence because of his sinfulness, David still loved him. Oh Lord. Thank you for a love that to us is almost impossible. I only realized it here when getting to Chapter 19. Thank you Pastor Paul for your diligent teaching

After King David was finally reinstated, he refrained from acting harshly toward those he could have just sent to their death. He was a changed man. Our lives are a true drama ..makes me think on the lives of the patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac n Jacob. Joseph is my very favorite character. His heart was turned toward YeHoVaH. ❤️
I personally need to put the kingdom on the top of my goals list, which means everything I will do God first. I feel this won't go easy on me... Worth a shot tho!
I might be wrong, but doesn't it kinda seem like Paul (the apostle😁) is like Saul in reverse? Not exactly, because Paul was meek but not wavering. King Saul started out humble, but became arrogant and focused on getting rid of David. Paul started out arrogant (thinking he was being pious) and trying to get rid of Christians, and became humble and followed God the right way. And they were both from Benjamin.... Just a thought...
