  • This video is folks who love the Toyota Echo.🚙. 😊. This is the description of my beloved 2001 4 door Toyota Echo
(On video, I forgot to mention that the door locks and windows are “ human “ power locks and windows). 😉
Update: I had to delete the video of driving in the snow because I had Christmas music playing so I was shown I had a copyright claim ! 😳
I mentioned it in this video, but it’s no longer available .

This video is wonderful, thank you for sharing. A week ago I purchased a 2002 Toyota Echo with 157k miles from an older couple who no longer needed it, but they took care of it like it was their child. I'm enchanted by it and was wondering how everyone else felt about their Echo. I'm glad we all love them so much. Here's to it lasting until 500k or even more :)

I wish I could give this video a thousand likes! 👍👍👍
I still remember fondly my 2000 Echo - almost exactly the same as yours, only mine was a Snow White.
She was a great friend, caring and reliable, served me well for a number of years, and when the time came to move on to my next car, it went to a lady like you who immediately fell in love with it - and having driven the Echo for a couple of months, that lady send me a heart-felt thank you letter. So, I guess my Snow White found a new loving home... leaving me fondest memories and a bunch of good pictures.

Thank you for your lovely comment. That is a beautiful story about “ Snow White” and the thank you note . Yes, 3 years after this video she is still running faithfully. Just the a/c needs attention. But we have a newer vehicle and this is now our back up car . The mileage is still ridiculously low - like 109,000 or somewhere around that. I can’t believe I’m driving the same car now retired they my parents drove when they were retired.
And thank you for a thousand likes 😁👍👍👍

I have the coupe 2000 manual one, with just about 40k miles on it when I bought it in 2019. I kept it preserve & untouched, but simply mods to the interior & general exterior. I drive it in my local neighbourhood every once in a while and WOW its just like a fun cutey RC toy which no other exotics can even compete, and I love the way I look back at it after every time I leave it at the parking spot(its cute & fun! also knowing my bills of it is just as perfectly planned). My mods right now and then has been to convert it into EV & durability enhancements for faster & more adventurous journeys far into the future, to compete & outlast what later then modern EVs can offer. I just get too excited every time I open that garage door, slowly & dramatically revealing my passion the Echo in its "Spa" session, waiting for me to hop in for more epic mods.

Great video! Stumbled upon it. I had an 03 Black 2 door ECHO. I was set to get a dark green as that was my favorite color but at the time I didn't pull the trigger fast enough and someone already bought it so they got me the black one same model just different color. I was kinda in a pinch so I had to go with that. Don't regret it. Very reliable and got great mpg. I got well above the EPA. I get into the 40s even breach 50 sometimes. Of course the down side of being light is when it's windy it's hard to control. I had a love hate relationship with it meaning I'm a car guy so I thought it was boring but it never let me down. NEVER. As I've gotten older I appreciate it more and more. I moved on from that car since 2013 but I'm looking up ECHOs online. It's ironic cause when I was in the market for a car my coworker at the time suggested the ECHO. At first i was like, no it's ugly but then fell in love. I appreciate the pre-03 models now cause I love how it's quirky and different. I don't care what people say if it's a clown car, I like that lol. I have an 09 Yaris that has the same engine and serves me well but hasn't gotten me that great mileage the ECHO has. I'm guessing cause it weighs more and maybe gearing of the auto. My guess. But I've taken it on long trips. I bought it with 153k on it and I have 278k on it now. I hope to get to 300k at least, although it is burning oil. We'll see!! Thanks for the video! I love that color!! Kinda jealous!!!

Wow! Thank you for sharing your story about your echo. It’s really funny to look up old commercials on them as well.
Yes, this little baby is so reliable. The only thing is the air conditioner is an issue recently.
I think we’re just going to drive the other car when it’s really hot and maybe not put money into it this year. But I can’t imagine selling this car yet. I think it’s just under 110,000 miles right now.😁.
I always thought the black looked really nice. My son told me to paint mine, black, and put flames on the sides. 😂. But I was reading about painting cars and they said it’s best to stay with the original paint. And the other thing is this is a garage kept car so that keeps it really clean. And I do like the color. Thanks again for sharing.☺️🚙

@@rachels594 I would personally keep that color. It's unique and not many cars are that color. As far as the bumper you could go to the dealer and order spot paint where you can brush over the spots and it will sorta match. You will notice it's a spot job. Obviously nothing like the original but at least won't stick out as much. I would sand and clean that area first, make sure it's dry then spot paint it. They would know the color code for it. I had an 03 I bought new, used it for work back in the day since we got paid mileage, I actually used to make money with the Echo since my payment was $300 and on average I brought in about $800-$1200 in expenses. Like an idiot I got rid of it on 2010, - recently I'm going to be back to travelling about 750 miles a week, so I'm looking for another one to get me to retirement. Won't be making anything off this one though 😥

I’m so sorry to hear you let your Echo go in 2010. That is when I started driving my current one. You can still get one, but may have to travel to find one. I have no plans to let my “girl” go . Yesterday’s gas fill up at 26.00 is great for these days, and that was about half a tank. I don’t let it go to E .
As I was driving yesterday , I was feeling so grateful because this was originally my parents’ car and I feel special knowing their hands were on the steering wheel , plus I used to drive my mom to doctors appointments in it. I wish you the best and I’ll be curious to know what you find. You can let me know in comments if you want . Love the Echo 🚙😀

I want to car just like this. I love the car that I have now, but it does consume a lot of gas. Premium fuel. Lexus IS250. Yes it’s a fun sporty car, but I want something that’s more practical for a daily driver. A car like this echo would be great for it! Used for going to work 5 days a week. My commute round trip for work daily is like 25 miles. I been looking at Toyota Echo and the Yaris. Also a Corolla from like 2004 - 2006.

If you look online, Echos are still out there and some with low mileage. You may have to travel to purchase one. I think any of those 3 you mentioned would be a great choice. You will save lots of money with the high gas prices.
