Now I get a lot of questions on the videos and the socials, currently one of the biggest being what are your plans with the motorhome in 2024?
So I thought why not sit down and do a little Q&A of some of your questions and run through what I'm planning on doing this year travel and events wise.

Oh yeah Darren defo a cheese tour!!! Cornwall have a cheese festival in Tavistock in the town hall with local producers, you enter and are given cards to note your favourites as u go round then taste away my friend! If you want to buy head to THE best cheese shop round the corner in the Tavistock market Square shop! There’s also a car park that can accommodate coaches so parking not a problem.

There is a Cheese factory in Hawes. In Wensleydale. It's a great place, very interesting.

Hi Daz. Your videos seem to go by in a flash! I love watching you on Sunday mornings. I could do with them being twice as long 🙂 Wyke Farms cheese in Somerset do a visiting experience. It is a working farm so you need to book.
Will you be visiting your adopted donkey? Would love to see that! A couple of bigger places to visit would be Port Lympne and Howletts, both in Kent. They are part of the Aspinall Foundation and their mission is to halt the extinction of rare and endangered species and return them to the protected wilderness areas where possible. They have been going for over 30 years and have incredible success with the animals in their care and with other animal protection schemes. It's not cheap to get in but this is one place I'm happy to pay the price as you can see where the money goes.
For fishing, try Grooby's Pit in Skegness Lincolnshire. It's a 4* 7 acre site with 2 fishing lakes. You can have solitary pegs or go on the grassy peninsula. It's an adult only site. Or how about The Quiet Site in Ullswater in the Lake District.

Happy New Year! - Fishing at Long island lake camp site in Cambridgeshire about 12 miles from Cambridge. We stayed on a pitch with EHU right next to the fishing lake.
Hi Darren, get yourself to Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales. They have a farmers market parkup and the Wensleydale Cheese factory to tour/taste!
Caravanette is the old fashioned name for a Coachbuilt type Moho
Heater wise, give Autoterm a Call in Wrexham. Get a genuine 4kw Autoterm fitted and you get to visit North Wales too 👍
J&M have had issues with copy heaters recently and Wil’s Whereabouts threw his away, check his Heater vids out

Hi Daz Always enjoy your videos especially the new fishing one. Some of the sites I visit are Home Farm Fishery, Saffron Walden, Essex, Jeagor Farm Lakes, Holywell Row, Newmarket and Lakeside Caravan Park & Fisheries, Denver, Downham Market. All have their own websites.
great video, regarding sites with fishing on I stayed on The Grange on the A1104 just outside of Mablethorpe ,about 7 ponds to fish ,shop,and a pub with food. Washing machine shower blocks lovely and clean would recommend to anyone that likes fishing.

We've had a few bad experiences in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire not very Moho friendly I'm afraid Darren.
Daz great video as always, we use cl or cs sites all the time for our fulltime living, came across several with fishing lakes but nicest was lough house sweethope cl, 2 massive lakes boat hire, brown trout and fantastic woodland park up so peaceful, it’s in the CAMC app, also an off grid only cl in saffron Walden £8 pn think it was called ashhurst. For a Cheese tour: Long Clawson Dairy, Colston Bassett Dairy, Cropwell Bishop Creamery and Belvoir Ridge Creamery are just a few places in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir (pron Beaver). Close to Melton Mowbray (Pork Pie country) All set in some stunning countryside. 👍 Pork Pie and Cheese, two birds . . . one stone!
Try Waterloo Farm near Market Harborough. I’m not into fishing, but we stayed here and site lovely with fishing lakes a shop and cafe on site. Also lovely walk into town. Hoping to do my first Warner show this year after watching your videos. 🤗

Makins fishery might be worth a pop
Riverside Village holiday park in Wallasea Essex has freshwater fishing and is also next to the river Crouch for sea fishing if you fancy a visit !
Mate that sounds perfect, could spend a good few days there doing all types of fishing, cheers mate
Cambus O’May cheeses on Royal Deeside near Ballater is worth a visit and can be combined with some trout fishing ☺️
Courtyard Dairy for the cheese, on the A65 by Settle in North Yorkshire. They let you taste a sliver of as many cheeses as you like. Many locally produced on farms. Not cheap, but well worth the experience.
Hi Dan the laurels camping site in Skegness there are two fishing 🎣 pools there but make sure you book the places go really quick
Hi Darren re campsites with fishing, we live in a lodge on such a site it's Westhill Farm West huntspill Somerset it has a good size fishing lake which is well stocked so I'm told. Really friendly, good toilets and showers and flat gravel pitches. Love to see you love the videos 👍. Regards Garry
Great campsite with fishing is Sumners pond Horsham 5 fishing lakes great fishing and a great cafe and bar
Pillaton Farm in Staffordshire is a good site with fishing lakes - in terms of Christmas markets, Kara and Nate have just done 9 Christmas markets in 9 days which was a great series and there are some great suggestions in there.

I loved the Berlin Christmas markets, but not sure about motorhome access - may need to park out of the city and take the train in. Public transport is excellent.

Unless you get a diesel heater from a known uk supplier, regardless of whether you order a 2 5 or 8kw you’ll probably just get sent a 5kw. There are tests out there that show them to be more economical than a 2 so it’s no bad thing.

Fabulous Q&A ! My 2024 is selling my Hino Bus Conversion and buying a Van Conversion (want an auto) (BTW just watched your video showing van up to mh...definitely looking at a lowprofile mh now) and getting out on the road more. Do you have a video on how to keep cool in summer, while working??? Do I get a small generator (very quiet if there is such a thing) or large solar to run a cooling fan - and what other options are there? Do you know, would a MH be cooler than a Van? Hi Darran, have you ever been to Henlow Bridge Lakes in Henlow, Bedfordshire? We go there as it’s close to where our daughters live and we can spend time with our grandsons, but it has fishing lakes and pods etc, not taken a lot of notice of it as it’s not my thing, but I know it’s very popular in the fishing community. It’s an immaculate site, friendly and very well run. Might be worth a look?

I'll be honest Robert this is the first I've heard of the changes, I would definitely add some time for them to take a while which isn't good but I'd rather arrived with loads of time and get through quick than the other way round. I'll definitely film and report on this at the time when I'm going over 😊👍🏻

I love the idea of two and it makes complete sense for the reasons you've mentioned, I would just say it's probably down to space and fitting them both. I'll keep this in mind though for mine. 👍🏻😊

Hi , I watch your channel regularly and have just shown it to my daughter as she wants to set a channel up on TH-cam . She lives in a house ,but I've said you would be a good source of advice being as though you have had a channel for a long time .Although hers is nothing to do with motorhomes you seem to know a lot about setting up a channel and I'm also intrigued to find out if it would take her a long time to make money from it . The thing I wanted to ask on my behalf , you mentioned you think motorhomes and converted vans are better than caravans . I have been thinking of saving up to stay on a caravan site as i have found out it's cheaper to pay for the year plot , and have been looking at dirt cheap mobile homes to put on it . Are there any converted vans that would be able to compete price wise as I find them all expensive and then you have to factor in , insurance and tax etc..

Our van is 4080kg we have a full English license which I can drive a 7.5 tonne, someone as pointed out to us that in most continental Europe the 3.500 kg is the limit to drive holding a car driving license, above that you need a truck permit or equivalent from your country.
Are you aware of this? As we might not be able to drive aboard.

Hey mate. I recently bought a motorhome in which I'll be living full time. My problem is with the insurance. When I tell them I will be living full time and they don't want to give a quote.
How did you do this, please?
I'm piking it up on 26th this month and I need find a solution. If you can advise on this, that would be amazing.
Great videos BTW. Through your videos and some other vlogers I was doing my research for an year now.
You may need to go through someone like Adrian Flux, thats who I know a few other full timers have gone through for proper full-time living insurance. There is also the full time touring insurance option through someone like the Caravan and Motorhome Club but that does come with its own set of restrictions and it depends on how you're living and travelling. I wouldn't be able to answer that unfortunately mate just because there are so many factors that play into getting videos edited, some video could take 2 hours to edit some could take 12 hours 🤷🏻♂️

@@MarcelEling it takes you through width restrictions and height restrictions and often favours routes through back roads / country routes which in a car might be ok but in a van just a pita

Google maps is made for cars and will send you down roads that are suitable for them, some of these roads are really not great for big motorhome homes such as tight country lanes, weight limits and low bridges. Having a 8.2M motorhome I love using my TomTom as it knows all my dimensions and hasnt sent me wrong ever.
You mean main land Europe, as the UK is part of Europe, as you always talk about Europe as if it’s a foreign continent.
