    I got a 2022 RAV 4 hybrid xle premium last June, my second RAV 4 replacing a 2001 model that finally gave up the ghost after safely and successfuly carrying me well over 230, 000 miles. I'm getting between 46 to 50 miles per gallon with the hybrid and it has a really thrilling acceleration power especially when using the power mode. These Toyota videos by guys who know their stuff helps greatly in figuring out all the neat features of the car and I'm really apppreciative, Brian !

    I’m glad I discovered your channel. It started with the key fob. I’ve had my ‘23 CC XSE hybrid for a month. I like how the engine shuts off at the drive-thru. I like how smooth it is, really no shifting. I only lack the 360 camera, which I thought the XSE had, and l don’t believe Toyota has the underneath road noise reduction like they maybe had on earlier Toyota models. Other than that, I’ve enjoyed it, and find excuses to drive it.

I personally had heart eyes looking at my new car so some of the information didn't stick 😂 I got a 2022 Toyota Yaris Cross early March and I love it. My first hybrid so the silent engine took some getting used to lol. I bought a used 2021 RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium about a week ago and am really enjoying it so far. I love all the informational displays so I can see how my driving style improves or hurts my gas mileage. I just hit 39 mpg this morning, and I'm hoping with a bit more adjusting to my driving style I can hit 40+ mpg eventually. Seeing the EV symbol come on in slower city driving is very satisfying knowing they're essentially "free" miles! I also love how quiet the car is in EV mode. I'm not a fan of loud cars or traffic noise.

    Great review. Very informative. So I’m planning on replacing my factory rims for some more customize rims. Would it affect the performance of the hybrid system?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you. Yes it will. It can effect the system by changing how it interprets vehicle speed. The extra weight of different rims/tires could possibly strain the system/transmission.
      I am not a technician. So take this and combine it with your own research. But if you keep the wheel size about the same and don’t get very heavy hardcore tires, I imagine you’d be fine.
      But remember, the closest to stock you stay, the more reliable you’ll be. In my opinion there is no arguing that.

    Hi Brian.I loved your crash course. I just got a 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross XSE Hybrid (6 miles) a week ago. I had a Honda accord V6 sedan for 16 years. I am a senior in my 70's. I think I made a decision too quick on purchasing this car. I do like it, however it makes a loud noise and I have taken it in to service twice and they told me to just drive it a while. I don't think the noise is normal, so when it made the noise again I had the service manager ride with me and he said he didn't know what the noise was, so I have to take it back in this Wednesday. Yesterday when it was 55 degrees here in Denver, it didn't make the noise. So I guess its more so when its cold. Any suggestions? I currently have 100 miles on the car now. Thank you for your response in this matter.

    Hi Brian, Great video as always. I got my 2023 RAV4 last May 13, 2023, after a long wait. It’s fun to drive although I have a few observations, which I would like to get your opinion on:
    1. I'm at 926km to date. Is it normal that my hybrid battery is not charging fully or at least halfway, it is usually in the 2nd or 3rd block only.
    2. My fuel consumption is high, not what I expected from a Toyota hybrid. I am averaging 28MPG mixed city and highway. My expectation (before I purchased this vehicle), it should be near the 40 MPG mark. Will this still improve in the long run? My daily travel is 70km except weekends. I am using 95 octanes, should I change to 91?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello! Thank you very much. I would visit the service center for an inspection. You bought the car less than a month ago but drove almost 1000km. It should be regenerating. For fuel only use the fuel the book says to. Please let me know what service says.
