They need to offer some of these options to the US and AUS market as well... limiting this to Europe only restricts their sales.
Yep, it's just stupidity that the only offering in the US is the base model. I will stick with my 701

The US market never even saw the "old" World Raid and Rally models.
I couldn't even find a "base" T7 in Texas to ride, or purchase new.
This from someone who rode an XT600 back in the late '80s.
My Honda dealer has a new '22 Africa Twin AdvSpt coming in mid-April, have the cash in hand and will purchase.

Dang Yamaha! What about the USA? We can’t find a T700 period. Much less Rally or a World Raid or one of these special editions.

When will Yamaha realise that many of us want a smaller lighter adv bike. I don't want a 200kg plus bike. I want 150 kg max single cylinder bike with a long service engine 21/18 spoked tubed rims. A comfy seat. Good quality brakes and suspension. 14 liter tank. That's what I've got. A modified Crf300l. Its great.
Yamaha must have seen how successful the honda crf300l and Rally have been. Big world wide sales. Kerching

That market is taken w the KTM 450EXC and Honda 450RL which is what you're describing.

@@DB-me3jt I have a HONDA CRF 450 L (one of the last 42 sold in Germany 2021) - an had too a 2021 HONDA 300 Rally (just sold): totally different worlds
WE NEED A MIXTURE of BOTH for long distance adventure riding: 450: oil has to be changed every 1.500 - 2.500 km, tank volume 7,6 liters, weight: 131 kg!
I agree but the middleweight was ripe for Yamaha's taking with the success of the the MT-07 and a recovering from a hard hit during the recession of 2008.
