I have owned 8 bikes over the years. Ktm Honda x3 , Harley and Yamaha x 2 and my himmy is by far my favourite bike ever. It shouldn’t be though , it’s the cheapest , the slowest, the least technical … bit it’s hard to explain just how much fun it is to ride and since amazing value

You've said it all -- the Himalayan is simple a fantastic motorcycle. Your suggestion of renting a bike to go to Sturgis makes way more sense than missing on the fun through the year that you can have on the Himalayan.

I love my himalayan, she's just past 9000 miles in a fraction over a year.

I have had a 2021 Himalayan for almost a year now and just over 3000 miles. All of your info and opinions on it are spot on and accurate. I absolutely love the bike my only complaints is I don't t have enough time to ride lol. Just did 250 miles of state highways doing 65mph and 50 miles of gravel roads and loved every minute of it.

Thank you Ol' Man Ronin for your videos on benefits of "small" cc bikes. I bought the Himalayan as an impulse buy, because I loved it. And then discovered your channel. All that you say makes so much sense and I wish more new riders came across your videos when getting into this hobby.

I have a 2018 Versys 650 GT (fully loaded European version) and a 2019 Himalayan. The Himmie is the Versys skinny, brat sister. What it lacks in power, it makes up with charachter and attitude. Both extremely capable and underrated bikes.

I love my 06 RKC, and I also love my 2022 RE Himalayan, thanks to your videos reaching down here to Alabama and twisting my arm to buy one lol… what I save in gas alone parking the Harley pays for the Himalayan outright, not to mention service and tire expense as a daily rider. First day I drove it to work this past week, all the guys, riders and non riders, were standing around it like I drove a Bugatti to work lol, everyone that sees it and talks to me about it wants one. I got lucky also, as mine was traded in on a scram version, and only had 250 miles, so I got in under book, but with near full warranty. Thanks for the vids Brother!

couldn't agree more.. haven't been able to get out on my Himmy for a few months.. battery is a gonner now which sucks. but a new battery is no big deal... here's the thing.. it makes me smile.. every time I walk by it or ride it I pat it.. like a horse.. maybe that makes me a nutter but I don't care.. lol

Hi there, I've had my Lake Blue Himi for about 5 weeks and 1700 kms and I'm loving every minute with her.
I ride on smaller country roads with loads of bends and she tackles them like a champ; I'm a complete novice off-road but loving doing it even when it gets a bit muddy and slidey.
Love cruising along at 50 mph and over 100 mpg(UK). This Himi is just a perfect bike for me.

There's a reason why the bike is called "The Himalayan" because it's meant to take to the mountain range of the Himalayas and one won't do 70miles/hr in the himlayas mountain!!

Hi from Northern Kentucky. Good videos and thanks. I have been drooling over the Himalayan for a couple of years. My dilemma is I already have a DR650 setup for traveling. I will never not have a DR650 (just bought my second one). Afraid I will have too much overlap. Have you ever rode a DR and have any opinions on comparing the 2 bikes. I know the DR has more power but other than that???? Thanks

Not enough to give an honest opinion of it sorry. It has a fantastic reputation though so take heart in that. And a Himalayan would be a great addition ;)

My 22 is getting better all the time. Just hitting 2k miles. I finally got on a mountain road yesterday and it was incredibly fun passing the 4x4's crawling their way through. This bike is perfect for me. I spent too many years in a big truck staring at the same highways over and over and if I can make it work, I'm never using them again. There are too many fun small roads to pass up just to make time.
Your GPS mount won't fit on the 22. I haven't seen if there's a new one yet. And I'm not thrilled with the seat either. I can feel the frame on my thighs sometimes.
Keep your expectations real and you'll love this bike.
Now I just need a go pro and some camping equipment and I'm all set. Hopefully by spring of next year that will be a reality.
    Ride safe ✌️

There are some new clear photos of the upcoming Himalayan 450. I’m not sure water cooling is the best idea for off-road, but it looks pretty amazing.

Just bought a 2022 and so far my only complaints are the seat is horrible as it locks you into one position and way too soft. And mine does have start up issues and stalling at idlle even when hot outside, tried using the useless choke, what ever that is supposed to do ( never had a fuel injected bike with a " choke ") ... when run after about 1/2 hour it will idle at 1500 rpms but it feels like it will stall....and often does.
