I’ve planned and tried to save to be able to travel with my husband when he retired. The past year real life happened. I got sick and ended up in the hospital. A year later I’m still not trying to recover. Then other things came up and now almost all the money I was saving is is gone. I’ve been feeling a bit depressed. I’ve been enjoying your you tube videos. You are having so much fun. Thank you for sharing.
hi Keri!! sometimes life's situations derail us from our plans. I like to always remember that my plans are in pencil, God has the ink!! it sounds like your health and your wallet took a beating this year, and I sure hope that things turn around for you!! I'm glad you are here! Lulu
Welcome home. You will love the divider that comes with the instant pot, so easy to clean. I think it was smart of you to discard the old one. Electricity is no joke.

Welcome home to you Lulu! I was laughing so hard when you were talking about traveling. I get it. Also, I was thinking, "what a pretty blouse" and they are pj's, hahaha! Love Wayne Dyer. Read everything he ever wrote and then went to Hawaii event: so amazing. I think I will reread that book. He narrates "The Tao Dr Ching" on you tube. I have it saved. One more thing. I really resonate with Michael Singer's work. He wrote "The Untethered Soul" I think you would enjoy it. Love and blessings to you!
So glad you made it home safely Lulu🎉 how cute are you modeling your jammies❤ awww, India is adorable....I can see the judgment in her eyes " really mom? Really?!" What a blessing at 16 years old.
Hello LuLu, Glad you safely made it home, and I love your kitty! I wanted to tell you not to throw away your pressure cooker. I was cooking pasta in the saute mode and it was boiling over, shutting off the pot, I removed the inner pot and turned it over to drain, but it still did not work. I thought it was ruined so I put it in the recycling. I later had an idea to watch a youtube video on how to take it apart which I did. I dried it out with paper towels (they were very wet). I waited a day, plugged it in, and it has worked great ever since. It was just too expensive to throw away without trying to fix it myself. I also shop at Wegmans, what a great store as they give us a shopping bus, no other store provides Seniors with this great service. Vickie
hi Vickie!! too late, I put it in the trash and it's been picked up. I'm all set with it!! I love Wegmans, it's a great store with lots of healthy options!! Lulu
hi Donna!! I'm waiting for my new tripod to come from amazon, it's one that can hold my iPad (not just my phone) and then I'll figure out filming in my kitchen. I'm a work in progress for now! I guess I always will be, such is life!! Lulu
Beautiful kitty, I know she’s glad to see you! And better safe than sorry with your pressure cooker. Can’t wait to see your cooking tips and van build! All the best! 😘
I agree start traveling now even if you're not retired go on weekends trips and take your vacations (so many people never use their vacations), I'm planning on retiring in 15 months I'll be 62 and everybody says you should wait until 67 to retire but i'm believer that tomorrow isn't guaranteed so why are we working for a day that may never happen, live life now. I have several big dogs, so I need something bigger than a van, so I have a small travel trailer and I have been getting ready for years, I try to use all my vacations days camping. I went to Florida 2 years ago just in my SUV (first time car camping) and I loved the ability to pull in anywhere more agile than pulling a trailer. I have a car camping trip to upper state NY planned for this summer and I can't wait. I try to camp for a week at the beach in the spring and fall (we have two campgrounds at the beach here in Delaware), the beach is my happy place, the smell of the ocean, the sound of the birds, watching the sun come up (so peaceful), nothing better than mother nature she puts on a great show.
hi Alicia! I retired at 62 too!! I started drawing social security and didn't listen to those that told me to wait until 67 for more money. more money does not always equate to more happiness!! so I went straight for the FREEDOM!! I look forward to hearing your travel plans with the big dogs, you'll make it work for YOU!! ENJOY!! Lulu

hi Lila!! thanks!! I've been in the thinking stages, still getting myself back into home life, then I will hit the workshop and get crankin' on my vanbuild, I can't wait!1 Lulu
Glad you are home safe and sound. I’m the gal from Newport full time in my minivan in California going on my 2nd year. You feel like a friend and I’m grateful. I have yet to find a Japanese sweet potato. Lol 😊Love to listen to you “shoot the shit”. Please share with us what your shopping receipts total and the store you shopped. ❤
Lulu, Boniatos are the best! They are similar to the Japanese sweets you are used to but boniatos hard to find and a treat. They are from Caribbean, So America..I first found them at a veg restaurant in FL. ENJOY and thx for your videos. They def make me smile!
Awww love your kitty. I have two, one of which is a tuxedo like yours. You are very fortunate that there’s family right outside your apartment to take care of her her when you go on your adventures. You’re giving me some good ideas!! Thank you!!
hi Londa!!! tuxedo kitties are super cute!! yes, I'm very fortunate I can leave her with those that also love her when I take off!! glad you here you got some good ideas!! 😊
How was the chilly night in CT? You basically drove right past our house (did you wave😉?). We are in the Union CT area on the MA border. You continue to inspire! Hoping to hear about a meetup here in the Northeast and I have enough courage to join. My husband has a Transit Connect I can borrow. He's a champ❤. Can't wait to see what you do to the van. Welcome Home.
the chilly night in CT was manageable, my face got a little cold though!! I hope there are meetups in the Northeast when the weather is nice!! I've never planned one, but I sure love to attend those that others put together!! Lulu
Amen! And so grateful that you have your pleasant space to return to. Welcoming, isn’t it?! I have a Tiny House (12x28) to return to and it warms me when I come home. Feeling that with you!
Great video! Loved your pjs ❤️ So interesting to hear your thoughts on being back at your home base. Can't wait to see your ideas for the new build. Btw India looked very put out lol.
You were right about your pressure cooker, you would have been zapped and/or it would have caught on fire. I'm glad you thought about your safety first.
Lulu, glad you made it🏡 safely. Your 🐈⬛ is adorable. I am a 🐈⬛ lover. I had an XL pressure cooker, which worked great. The Teflon insert started to lose its Teflon coating, so I bought an Instant Pot because it had a stainless steel insert, a much healthier choice. Do you have a kitchenette off your bedroom suite? I am looking forward to hearing about your van build, groceries hauls, cooking meals, and your food supplements now that you are home. I just love your videos! ❤
@@LulusWay64 I added a kitchenette to my bedroom suite as well. I put in a refrigerator and microwave. I would love to see how you did yours. We must be sisters. ❤
I am so happy you are home safe. Looking forward to seeing your many plant based meals and what veggies you combine. My little apartment is similar to yours. I too have a mini kitchen.
Love the plants 🪴 behind you. Im glad you are loving being home. Do you ever miss work? Would you ever work partime again? I’m interested to know what time you usually eat breakfast, lunch and dinner ? I love how committed you are to your eating programme. It’s so good .
hi Tanya!! I never ever miss work. I've never worked any job since I retired, but now I'm doing youtube that looks like it's turned into part-time work, but it doesn't feel like work!! as soon as it feels like a job, it won't be for me!! I eat breakfast between 7a-8a, lunch 12p-1p and dinner 5p-6p. Lulu
@@LulusWay64 I’m starting to think we are sisters from another mother haha. So much of how you live is how I live. But you are definitely more disciplined and in that way far freer than me. I blame my job but it’s not my job , something in me sometimes doesn’t believe I deserve to be content. My adult daughter is sometimes not happy and struggling ( I help her a lot) and I feel guilty that I’m happy. As you say it’s a journey, I’m getting better at it.
@@LulusWay64 l just love the peaceful routine of your life, I really like your home space. It’s zen. Love the food - fresh and tasty. FYI paprika sales in NZ have shot up…I used it on everything now …chicken , veggies and the Japanese sweet potato 🍠 you love is called Kumara and is my favourite. I’m ok with the other but Kumara is my fave.
It’s great to Go, but it’s great to get home! I personally could not live in a van, but I admire those that can! The most fortunate, have figured out a way to have both☺️ and do what they want, when they want. Determination is 3/4 of the solution. Hard work is the other 1/4. Imo.
Glad you're safe and home and all comfy. Lulu, you are such a sweetheart and such a good soul with a great heart. Love your videos, God bless you and always keep you safe in your traveling adventures.
Well.... you made it back in one piece! Just look how many folks are glad to see your smiling face. The grocery haul looks so healthy. People don't realize you can eat large volumes of food when you eat the things you are supposed to be eating. Also prepared and cooked in a healthy way. How long do you think it will take you to graze your way through it? LuLu...I just had a thought. What part of the country is your home (room) base located? You should check and see if you could be registered and tracked in one of the National Georaphic Blue Zone groups. I know Loma Linda California is one of the zones. You would be a perfect candidate. I've read a couple of Dan Buettner's books and watched fascinating specials and interviews on TH-cam. Great to watch them travel to different zones of the world and meet the fascinating people who live, work, retire and lead full productive lives in their particular areas of the world. Anyway........... think about it.
hi Maria!! I ate every bite of that grocery haul, I don't think it lasted a full week! LOL I'm in the Boston area. interesting about the different zones of the world, thanks for sharing that!! Lulu
Sweet welcome home sign Lulu😊 You look rested, love your PJ'S. I love books also & I like hearing Wayne Dyre reading his books and talking about what he's read. His medications & music are nice also. Yummy veggie haul . I'm glad your enjoying the jouney🕊💜
Hi Lulu, I cut hair for 40 years. I worked next to a salvation army, so I could go over there on my break and always found wonderful things sometimes with tags still on. It was fun finding treasures. You are so positive and fun. Thanks
Hi Lulu, I too made the same mistake with my pressure cooker as you did, but fortunately I'd only put dried beans into it, not water.....therefore I was able to safely remove the beans without having any damage done to it. But I learnt my lesson! So now before I add ANYTHING to the pressure cooker, I always remove the inner pot first and put my ingredients in. (I also loosely just rest the lid on top of the pressure cooker whilst I'm doing that, so I can't accidently put anything into it by mistake). Only when all my ingredients are in the inner pot do I then put it into the pressure cooker.
Glad your home safe and sound and ready to enjoy your little tuxedo baby girl. Enjoy the Instant pot. I’m still getting used to mine. I never had a pressure cooker before so this way of cooking is new to me . I follow Adelina on a TH-cam channel “Tiny home on wheels “she is mostly vegan and does a lot of Instant pot recipes. So between you both I’m learning new ways to eat and cook. I can’t even remember how to cook traditional meals anymore and of course I couldn’t be without my air fryer either. Lol! I’m sure looking forward to following you along on your new build too. Take care now , 👋 😊 loved your tip on the sweet potatoes 😉Also , I’ve been buying chicken thighs more often . Find them tastier than the white meat.
hi Sue!! I agree, the chicken thighs are more tasty, the white meat is always dry to me even when it's not overcooked it tastes overcooked!! I have only owned a pressure cooker for two months and I don't know what took me so long to try it, I LOVE IT!! Lulu
You are my favorite TH-cam. I'm glad you got home safe. I thought after part-time van lifestyle I wouldn't see TH-cam. You get me to eat more veggies differently and so thanks
hi Loretta!! thanks so much for your lovely encouraging note!! I'm planning to continue on youtube, documenting my new van build!! so happy to hear you are eating more veggies differently, YAY YOU!!! Lulu
Lulu you made me smile about your pressure cooker. I ve heard many people have done the same thing you did! Guess what I did? I have all three sizes of the instant pot. I sit while I cook so I grabbed a cord and the six quart put my food and water in closed it cooked my soup…. when I opened it a cord from the other cookers was inside!!😳oh gosh I cooked my cord!🤦♀️
just use cooking plastic or oven bags in another name to pressure cook with...no clean up. Chippies are best bought from the chip maker....saves a lot of work for nothing. Get an oven attached to the hotpart of the motor and use its heat to cook or warm the next feed...no waste of energy that way. Manufacture your own wee oven box to suit the hot part of the motor. Here in Sydney I volunteer to feed the homeless. They get the seconds from the millionaires via "Oz Harvest" and distribute to the needy. This is the best food in the world.
Lulu glad you made it back north safely! I so enjoy your vlogs and am anxious for you to start your van build,it will be interesting to see what you will be doing differently. I have to say I made the chicken with the paprika, loved it! I have a head of cabbage so going to try that with the paprika, also going to try the Japanese sweet potatoes. ❤
hi Brenda!! thanks for your nice note!! so happy to hear you enjoyed the chix, and I trust you will not be disappointed with the cabbage with mustard and the sweet potatoes!! ENJOY!! Lulu

I too have a mini kitchen.
hi Rusty!! I love my little mini kitchen!! and I'm happy you are looking forward to more of my content! I'm so glad you are here! Lulu
Imo.
yes, I enjoy having both options, home or vanlife. I enjoy both very much. I'm fortunate. I'm grateful!! 🙏
Glad you made it home safely. I absolutely love your PJs. You look adorable in them.
It's amazing how great life is when we are grateful.
hey Pam!! thanks for your sweet note!! yes, it's all about having an "attitude of gratitude" YAY!! Lulu
Oh this video was so wonderfully made..I couldn't stop smiling for you. SO much you've accomplished in life. Your encouragement is so refreshing
Sounds like a nice day!
Welcome Home Lulu, was fun meeting you on your travels♡
I’m glad you’re safe at home. I also have read a lot of Wayne Dyers books. Yes they are very enlightening.
hi Bonita!! Mr. Dyer is a wonderful spiritual leader, leading many people into better ways of living and thinking! God bless him! Lulu

hi Rosemary!! thanks so much for you sweet notes to me, I appreciate it! so glad you are here! Lulu
Batata and Boniato are
spanish names for sweet potatoes. I'm from P.R. and here we called it Batata....
Well.... you made it back in one piece!
Lulu
Sweet welcome home sign Lulu😊
You look rested, love your PJ'S.
I love books also & I like hearing Wayne Dyre reading his books and talking about what he's read.
His medications & music are nice also.
Yummy veggie haul .
I'm glad your enjoying the jouney🕊💜
hey Cynthia!! thanks for your nice good-feeling note to me!! Lulu
I love Wayne Dyer, his talks were amazing and his lessons are so enriching. enjoy your time at home and keep the videos coming!
It waa ok thank goodness! Bought a ninga pressure cooker with a air fryer with it .steamer and slow cooker as well. Love it ! So versitile
I love your jammies, love your channel! I'm waiting for your next travel plan.
hey Debbie!! in one of my videos, I discuss my upcoming travel plans, check it out: th-cam.com/video/I-VzBW56_t8/w-d-xo.html
Hi Lulu, I cut hair for 40 years. I worked next to a salvation army, so I could go over there on my break and always found wonderful things sometimes with tags still on. It was fun finding treasures.
You are so positive and fun. Thanks
hi Mary!! thanks for sharing your story about you joy in finding treasures at a thrift store, it's just so fun to poke around, I LOVE IT!! Lulu
Only when all my ingredients are in the inner pot do I then put it into the pressure cooker.
yes, I need to be more careful, cuz it could really happen again with me!! glad you were able to salvage yours!!
So happy you are home safe. loved the sign. And happy you son kept you plants alive.
hi Taraann!! thanks for your happy note to me!! Lulu
Glad you are home safe 😊 I love fish I cook mine with some fresh herbs wrapped in foil with a little butter ❤
YUM!!
Glad you are home safe. I enjoy SUV/tent camping. Hope to meet you on the road. Take care!
hello!! thanks for your note!! perhaps we'll meet down the road sometimes!! YAY!! Lulu
Lulu
I gave you the wrong channel name, Sorry. Adelina’s channel is “My big tiny house life ”.
OMG Lorna!! you cooked a cord!! oh no!! haha
You are so right. Safe travels are such a blessing!
just use cooking plastic or oven bags in another name to pressure cook with...no clean up.
ENJOY!! Lulu
Travel is great fun but it's true, there's no place like home. Glad you made it back home safe, Lulu!
Looking forward to your next adventure!
hi Dana!! I'm already ready for the next adventure out! but the next adventure on the agenda is my next van build!! exciting! Lulu
