    Congratulations Cliffe from Argentina! Amazing way of defending the gospel from an intelectual perspective. I wish all the people could open their hearts to Jesus because that way no intelectual questions will be needed anymore. We all are born with an empty hole inside. Jesus is the only one that can fit in. Why give Him a try? Because is the only one who suffered and died on a cross for all of us. Blessings to all.

    "I am not a sinner because of Adam and Eve", The Bible says that , Sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, therefore making us all sinners. Genesis 3 brought God's curse Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned verse 19 For as by one man's (Adam) disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one man's Jesus) obedience many will be made righteous.

      I don't think that's what Cliffe means. You are correct about those verses, but whenever I talk to atheists they say it is ridiculous that everyone is responsible for original sin. They don't seem to want to take responsibility for their own sin.
      I know what you are talking about though as Cliffe does not always explain things fully. He is trying to be as brief and to the point so as not to put the listeners to sleep maybe.

    Titus 2:11-12 , "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation HAS APPEARED TO ALL MEN ( in our conscience), teaching us, that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world." When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, God said in Genesis 3:22a, "Behold, man has become like us knowing good and evil..." God has allowed us to be able to know the difference between Good and Evil. He has left something in US, each of us, to understand the difference. Problem is we reject the good and go our own way.

    The religious leaders of Jesus' time were working off of fence laws around God's law cause they kept breaking God's laws. Thus in keeping these fence laws, the people wouldn't come to breaking God's laws. These fence laws became a tradition of men and that is what Jesus was talking about. The religious leader put God's laws to no effect and blatantly missed the intent of the laws of God to teach the people to recognize Jesus and the works Jesus did.

    this video made me realize something. the jews in the old testament was in the old covenant. they had to keep the law or faith in god, not necessarily in christ because christ wasnt revealed at that time but the keeping of the commandments. i dont know if faith in god counted back then to save them but ive been hearing that.
    since christ came to earth ,a new covenant was established.
    matthew 26:26-28 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
    27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
    28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
    testament is just another word for covenant which it means the same thing. this what confuses people when they dont know testament means covenant. covenant means agreement or contract.
    the new covenant is that jesus died on a cross and if you put your faith in him that you shall be saved
    so before christ the jews didnt have the requirement of faith in christ. but today i suppose jews would need to have faith in christ. but i dont know faith in god means the same thing in christ. but they reject christ. and it says in the bible rejecting christ is rejecting god. and you have to have the father and the son both. so faith in christ is a requirement for everyone. but i dont know if it implys that people in judaism arent save unless faith in christ, im guessing that it looks like thats what the newtastament is saying

    • @fredpickles5655
      @fredpickles5655 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is revealed in the old testament. It is never the works of the kings and prophets that God grants righteousness over them. Goodness knows that most of the men of God did horrible things. It says that God counted righteousness in Abraham's faith in Him.
      In other words, Abraham, David, Isaiah and the rest trusted God would deliver them from eternal death. Whether they knew exactly how He would do it is another matter. Obviously Isaiah knew since He wrote exactly how it would happen in his prophesies.
      Hope that helps.

    • @theshepherdsambassador5146
      @theshepherdsambassador5146 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, ive been studying ever since i posted that comment because this video sparked an idea and i wondered what the answer would be. so it inspired me to seek the truth. so i would read romans 1,2,3,4,5 or so. 8, 9 10 11or so. in romans 2 god is not a respecter of persons or show favoritism one group over another. since christ established the new covenant, both jew and gentile must of faith in christ to be saved.
      romans chapter 3
      19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
      21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
      27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
      the deeds of the law or works of the law doesnt make us righteousness. righteousness is manifested without the law
      but chapter 4 said faith in god is what saved him or what ever. i dont understand yet how people in the old testament were saved through faith.
      in the old testament they did rituals and animal sacrifices for the atonement for sins. if people in the old testament were saved because of faith in god. what was the need for jesus? in the old testament. its probably belief in god. the keeping of the commandments and works for the atonement of sins. but god made a new covanant because he realized people couldnt fully keep the old covenant. or people in christ's era couldnt keep it.
      the rituals no longer counted for the atonement for sins but now the shedding of christ's blood is now counted for the atonement for sins. faith in christ is the way now to have your sins forgiven.
      if i havent gotten the full picture yet, ill keep on studying.

      the shepherd's ambassador Thanks for the post ambassador. It is something a lot of seasoned Christians struggle with. The old argument of whether Christians are saved by faith in Christ alone, even if they sin a lot, has been going on for a long time and there will probably never be a 100% consensus.

      +ada2step I agree. Homosexuals go against the natural design of male and female sex just as people go against the natural design of love that God created us for. God is love and He created us in His image. When we are selfish we are turning from God's design for us just as much as homosexuals are.

I don't think you know him personally, what if he is perpetually selfish in his marriage and is therefore speaking the truth here? Furthermore, there is a chance that he may have misspoke here and instead of perpetually being selfish in hi marriage he could have used "at times".
      Lets say that a Christian does sin perpetually or every day....what is this truth that you say you have recently found in your life? Are you a Pelagian? Do you believe in sinless perfection (reaching a state of sinlessness on this earth? Do you deny original sin? Just curious what you were getting at.

      +Apologia5 I haven't heard of Pelagianism before but I just looked it up and I disagree with a lot other their beliefs. I believe strongly in grace and grace is the only reason I'm free from sin. :) yay
      "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age," (Titus 2:11-12 NKJV)
      I've sinned before but grace came into my life and taught me to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. Grace is still teaching me but I simply believe that living righteously is possible in this present age.
      "My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." (1 John 2:1 NKJV)
      If I sin I repent and ask God to help me turn from my ways and back to the way. Thank Jesus for dying on the cross to set a wretch like me free from a lot of willful sin in my life. Nail me to a cross but I don't think it's heresy to follow Jesus' sinless life.

When he came down to Earth many times in the Old Testament, did he identify as an Israelite or Jew.. No.. Is Salvation exclusively for the Jews? No, Gentiles can be saved too.. All little children over the age of, I would say 18 months know the word "No" from their mothers, they are well aware of what 'No' means, but ask any mother if they always respond in the correct way to that word, all little children will push the boundaries and defy their mothers on a daily basis as they are growing up.. we all know about toddler temper tantrums, so I would disagree with Cliffe on that point. The Sabbath was important enough for Jesus to keep it and be raised from the dead on a Sunday. It's an important day and put in the commandments for a reason. While mainstream Christianity has moved away from that or called Jesus Himself the Sabbath, the fact still remains that God blessed that day and gave it to us for a reason. One more thing, Malachi 4:1 says that all who chose evil will be consumed by fire. Not a root or branch will be left of them. You could interpret Matthew 25 as eternal hellfire, suffering, torment but does that match up with the God who while being tortured and murdered prayed for his murders and pleaded for their forgiveness? Maybe what's eternal isn't hell as depicted in the movies. That's a construct of the enemy to paint God as evil, and delighting in anguish. It's eternal death, no chance at salvation and the hope of life again, separation, and when God does what is necessary to make sure sin never rises up again.

    At about 17:35 Cliffe says if you hear about God and reject him, you are rejecting God. I believe in Matthew it says if you reject Christ you will go into 'everlasting punishment'. Need I say, this seems harsh in the extreme. It does come across as a kind of Mafia threat, accept Christ or face severe consequences. I've mentioned this before, but there seems to be a big flaw within the Christian doctrine, anyone can commit the most terrible crimes, but if they genuinely recant afterwards and accept the Lord, they are forgiven, whilst simply not accepting Christ, no matter if you've lived a very mundane life, you are condemned to everlasting punishment.

      PanthaMusic Good to hear your view. But wouldn't you say their is low level 'sin' and high level 'sin' with a huge spectrum within those 2 opposing ends. At one end you have maybe a serial killer, and at the other end you have, lets say a 10 year old boy who steals a candy bar. Lets say the young boy dies.. does he go to hell? And lets say the serial killer asks Jesus for forgiveness, ( and he's genuine in his repentence), seems to me the punishment and reward are all wrong. We would not let a serial killer go free if he genuinely said sorry. Society would not accept that. And neither would we send a 10 year old boy to life imprisonment for stealing a candy bar and he refusing to say sorry.

      +bonnie43uk Hi Bonnie, Thanks for the reply. I hope you checked out the link I posted in the comment above. I hear your concern and it is a tough teaching. The problem is that we as humans want God to grade on a curve where everyone "worse than us" doesn't make it to heaven and we and everyone that "lived a good life" makes it in. God does compare our lives, but the standard is set in a perfect Jesus, so when compared to his life we all fall short. That may seem unfair and one may cry afoul, but if God listened to our standard, the question would become who is really calling the shots and who is really God. My prayer is that you don't get caught up in the "what if's" in life such as the theoretical boy you mentioned. Deuteronomy 32:4 says " His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He." If the concern is more that a murder can make it to heaven, I'd point out that we are all murders by Jesus standard in 1 John 3:15 where he says "Everyone that hates his brother is a murderer, and ye know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him." God's grace is enough to cover all of our sins if you will let him.

      +Roe's Riot Can't see any Link Roe, or other comment from you, not sure if TH-cam is malfunctioning. I don't agree with somebody taking responsibility for my wrongdoings, it's something I've never been able to accept, and, despite what you've said, it doesn't make sense to me.

      +bonnie43uk Hi Bonnie, that is weird. I wonder if it is because I posted a link in the message that you can't see it. Here is what I said, "Hi Bonnie, I think what Cliffe is trying to say here is that God gives us the choice. Either we can pay for the wrongs we have done ourselves or we can allow Christ's sacrifice on the cross to count as payment for what we have done. I think even the people that have lived mundane lives, if they are honest, can admit they have fallen short in some way in their life. If you have 3 minutes, Frank Turek has an interesting perspective on the issue of hell in this short video. Check it out and let me know what you think. Have a blessed day." If you search Frank Turek, One minute apologist here, the second or third video down is titled "Will God Send me to hell.." Anyway, about the best explanation I've ever heard regarding Jesus taking the punishment in our place is to think of your children ( if you have them) or your parents if not. If someone broke into your house and said "someone is going to get hurt here tonight it's either you or them" wouldn't you willingly volunteer for it to be you over your kids? Or wouldn't your parents volunteer on your behalf. God is often described as our Father. He loves us like his children. It makes perfect sense that because he is perfectly just that he punish our sins but because he is also perfectly graceful, he takes the punishment on himself. It is the only way that there can be justice and grace all in the same. I hope that helps.

    The answer is Messianic Jews. There are tons and tons of Jews who are turning to the Messiah because being raised they were told never to look at the New testament now we know why and so do they! :-)

    God limited his power? God is jewish? We need forgiveness, therefore, human sacrifice? Age of accountability? These assertions raise more questions.

      1. An omnipotent God has the power to predetermine our lives, but He doesn't. We have free will and the Bible asserts that many times. Therefore it is not unreasonable to believe that God does not use His full power in the way that He could.
      2. Jesus is Jewish, not God.
      3. Before Jesus, Jews sacrificed lambs to spare their lives from the wages of sin (death). Jesus wasn’t merely human. If He were, then His sacrifice would have also been a temporary one because one human life couldn’t possibly cover the sins of the multitudes who ever existed. Neither could one finite human life atone for sin against an infinite God. The only viable sacrifice must be an infinite one, which means only God Himself could atone for the sins of mankind. Only God Himself, an infinite Being, could pay the penalty owed to Himself. This is why God had to become a Man and dwell among men (John 1:14). No other sacrifice would suffice.
      4. First John 2:2 says Jesus is “the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” This verse is clear that Jesus’ death was sufficient payment for all sins, not only the sins of those who come to Him in faith. The fact that Christ’s death was sufficient for all sin would allow at least the possibility of God’s applying that payment to those who were never capable of believing.

    Children did not do anything wrong but they are born with sin and anyone who is born witb sin and not accepted Christ as a saviour will not go to heaven therefore the only way a baby can go to heaven is be elected. So not all babies will go to heaven it depends on ekection by God.

      Agreed brother Jesus tells us in Matthew that he is lord, (authority) of the sabbath not that he “is” our rest. The sabbath is the seventh day Saturday and the “sunday worship services” are nothing but deceitful which is interesting because their church operates on Sunday. 1 John 2:4
