Amazing soundtrack!!. I used to own the original soundtrack on CD. Wore it out completely!. I remember playing Gradius 2 for the first time back in the arcade back in 1988. I was blown away!. Now i own the PCE-CD version for my Nintendo Wii.
これ聴いてあらためて思うこと…
ファミコン版はあのスペックで
えげつない音出してたなぁ
I like the bass from the CD. It makes the music sound better, not to mention that CDs already make the music and sound uncompressed. Not to mention that CD-ROMS make music and sound that would otherwise be impossible to make on the sound chips themselves and with limited space on a cartridge.
Thank you for not putting on rose colored glasses when enjoying video game music. The original composers would want the best possible presentation for their work.
Dude, I just bought this game off the Wii Shop Channel last night. This is instantly my favorite Gradius. I wish there was a way for me to put this music on my iPod. Thanks for uploading this. A metal band would make a perfect album covering this whole soundtrack.
The music in PCE version is much more crisper than the arcade version, take Burning Heat for example.
03:55 *YOU SHALL NEVER RETURN ALIVE*
日本全国のNHK及び民間ラジオテレビ様にも染み込んでセンスがいいみたいですよ。
Matched With Arcade Version Also Included PS1 Version.
Consisted Twin 16 Hardware with Z80 CPU With YM2151+3012 with NEC μPD7759C and K007232.
IT'S THE EXACT SAME SOUNDTRACK AS THE ARCADE VERSION, JUST STREAMED WITH THE CDDA CHANNEL ON THE PC ENGINE CD.
20:54 isn't in the Arcade version.
The percussion is still so good.
I hear classic uplifting game music like this (from Konami especially) and just cry with nostalgia
Star Flight and Farewell are my Favorite
いろんなものも加えて元気がわいてくるBGMにもいいみたいですよ。
You are wrong. The PCEngine CD has all the tracks like almost all PCEngine CDs, in this case they recorded from the arcade versions with special effects applied by a roland sound scape processor. TH-cam may degrade the sound a bit, but having the original PCE CD game I can assure you that this is the real thing. And it sounds amazing
"Destroy them all!"
nostalgic...
13:31 - This version of the game might have my favorite version of 'Poison of Snake.'
Ngl this sounds better than the AC version
It's the redbook CD audio from the game disc. You literally pop it into your CD drive and rip the tracks; it can't be any simpler.
This is an amazing soundtrack, but if you want to listen to another great version, listen to the X68000 Midi version, it sounds amazing! :)
The best part is the intro to the game, which for some reason is all the way at the end here at 20:55.
Why is it translating my comments all weird?

Best Gradius OST of them all, and that's saying a lot because they're all amazing :) i NEED a PC Engine with an Super SD System 3 arrgh but it's expensive
9:15 music reminds me of the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game on Gameboy, those sewer levels.
Good choice! Have you played Gradius 3 SNES?
A beast of a soundtrack.
gradius ac,what use the sound chip?
IT'S THE ARCADE OST STREAMED ON THE PC ENGINE CD VIA THE CDDA CHANNEL.
I heard that the first gradius was using "Konami 005289(similar to SCC and TG16)"and later series were Yamaha YM2151(OPM).
Might sound weird but I actually prefer the original arcade score. I dunno something about the way they mixed this version. Some of the songs sound off.
Do they sound off musically or because of nostalgia for the arcade port?
