Here in 2024 from TikTok and I've binged all the episodes. So refreshing and inspiring. Sad to come to reality with the fact that the cost of doing good/advocating for good in Kenya is EXPENSIVE; Enduring pain, putting your life and your loved ones in danger and being cornered to hopelessness and despair.
"You can never achieve anything without courage. Speak courage fluently"

“Activism is my rent for living on the planet.”Alice Walker.
You pay rent by doing good, and if you can’t do any good, don’t do harm.
    Wow! Hats off Bonnie M.
I feel like all those who have misunderstood and hated on him, and considered him a villain, today, have met Bonnie, the national treasure. People who go to his comments with their full chest to type “What have you done for this country?” The answer to that would be a resounding: more than you would even think of doing!
God bless this man. The burden you carry so faithfully to liberate the minds of fellow country people, the price you and your family have paid and continue to pay… Thank you.

I had legit forgotten his son was right there as he spoke about some things (cue the reason he needs a urologist referral).
Going on a tangent here, but what a refreshing way to parent. Being transparent with your kids, owning up to your mistakes and knowing you need to earn their trust back.
Activism = being an active citizen, not just limited to being out in the streets carrying a placard. Love it!

Thank you so much for this platform Njau. I am not sure what to feel anymore, I feel like this country is not even worth people like Boni - he should never have given (or continue to give) this country love that it does not deserve, on the other hand, i feel like because of people like Boni, change will eventually come. Much appreciation Boni, I cry for my country and more for you and your family may your sacrifices never go in vain. Njau, reach out to your techie friends and see how Softie can be availed in Kenya I am sure they can come up with something.

wow wow wow, I purpose to support CTA even in a small way to keep providing a platform for telling such amazing stories that we will never hear anywhere else. Big up to the team behind the scenes that make CTA what it is you are our uncelebrated heros. Maaaan Bonnie story yake maze ata sijui what words to use that would serve justice to what your life has been. Must admit I felt discouraged and disappointed by your experience in the campaign trail, the systematic enslavement of our minds as Kenyans that we just seem to have thrown in the towel and resigned to our fate of having terrible leaders and not giving a chance to those who genuinely deserve those positions. But as a country we are standing on the shoulders of those who paid blood sweat and tears for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today, the battle is not yet won and we still have a long way to go emancipating ourselves from this mental slavery we are in. Your sacrifice is not vain Bonnie, the heavy price you have paid is not in vain.

‘Activism means being an active citizen. It’s not about protesting on the road or holding placards. You can volunteer in children homes, be an active citizen in your community, volunteer to do a letter to the editor, complain about traffics…Learn about what you care about, read about it, learn.’

“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any." By seeing themselves as worthless. By believing the lie that they don't have the ability to make a change. Self-deprecation is a form of self-sabatoge. Thank you Bonny for simplifying what activism is. I am proud that I use my voice in my community to advocate for change. That I am invested in spaces where decisions are made, policies formulated. I am encouraged to keep going. Richie, thank you for amplifying Bonny's story through this medium. I am excited for generations to come because for my generation, the story tellers were repressed and many have since died without ever telling their powerful stories. Thank you! I speak courage fluently! Aluta continua!
