the beginning was adorable. His personality is what makes these videos so great. Along with his amazing ability to teach math so well.
I'm serious, we need more teachers like this! I'm actually learning something out of his lectures and enjoying myself writing notes for the first time in so long.
i feel like i'm participating in a class. i find myself yelling out answers at the screen haha! great work! my school math teacher is overly boring in comparison to your teachings sir
Very awesome
wtf
You should maximize this Yaymath by branding and making it your life's work. You are changing the world by being one of the best math teachers ever. You can run this like a business have a staff person answer comments, sell your products online, give lectures, conduct workshops. Please do this for as long as you live this is needed so bad. Get on Ellen, Oprah, and get lot's of attention.
hell yeah
I agree dude
Hi divesh! Thank you for your heartwarming comment. Perhaps I can come to your school and meet with your teachers and students, in a professional development capacity.
Hi, I do not know if you still teaching math after 7 years since you had made this WONDERFUL video of teaching. please let me know if you are here. THANK YOU
Fam, before this video I knew nothing about trigonometry and was so uncool. My only friend was this Indian technician named Ranjeet. But after watching this, with my amazing Maths skills, I impressed all my classmates and now I'm the coolest kid in school. Thank you yaymaths. I love you, kiss emoji.
I'm 12 and I LOVE this stuff! Thanks so much for posting this video man!
17 now lol
Hi! I'm not the best at math, and I'm a bit slow. My math teacher has neither the time or the patience to help me understand, thanks Yaymath for helping me grasp the simple concepts of trigonometry!
I can only imagine how helpful it is for his students to be able to watch and rewatch these lessons before a test or for students who are sick or missed a class. Nothing beats in class learning, but having lessons that you can watch and catch up or refresh would be so useful, I wish we had this when I was taking math and physics back in school
YOU ARE THE BEST MATH INSTRUCTOR EVER!!!!!!!! You are helping me get an A in my pre-calc class :) Thank you so much!!!!
My goodness i love this guy, this is where i do most of my learning. I like how he takes his time explaining step by step the order and concept of each aspect of math. It helps me recall it better during tests or quizzes because he make it make sense. It is a shame that we don't have more teachers like him that actually care about students and their understanding of the concept.
What took me almost 6 weeks to grasp in physics was done here in less than 40 minutes. You're an awesome professor!
I just wanted to say thanks for ur video... I'm in my thirties back in college with algebra taken ten years ago... ur videos really help pull me through what I find impossible and frustrating. . Thanks!!! Yaymath. . Wish u were m y professor. ..
SOHCAHTOA - Some Old Hobo Caught A Hippie Trippin' On Acid... Ah. Freshman year. Good times, good times. xD
That's a good mnemonic. Thanks!
wow 6 yrs passed how u noe
I learn more Trig in 40 minutes than I have my entire life! Excellent teacher master of his trade!
I swear, this teacher helps me so much. I mean I have an awesome math teacher but since I have dyslexia it is so hard for me to learn in class but this videos are so helpful. I think you're freaking awesome I love the way you explain and I thank you for the videos, and I believe that many other thank you too .
thank you. I had been having a hard time learning this stuff in class not being able to finish the home work because I couldn't remember what to do next. that has always been my problem with math. I am an adult in adult high school taking night classes trying to up grade my grade 12. so I am studying grade 11 math right now, anyways a few days before the text I watched this video, in fact I found it on youtube to help with my homework and I watched it a few more times over and over, I found it was great to help me to remember. I took the final test for the unit on thursday and just got my mark back last night and I scored an 84% on it, thank you for your help!
Im taking virtual school and no joke this is the guy who is getting me through it. I NEVER thought I was going to understand SOH CAH TOA but know i do thanks to you i might finish virtual school before real school actually starts THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
absolutey great teacher hands down.! keep up the great work.
yay math! this teacher is AWESOME
I wish i was high on potenuse....
my thoughts exactly..

OMG i hate math so much and i loved this video, i understood everything and im shocked at how entrigued i was by what was being taught. yay math?!! loll
Your teaching is extremely engaging and I can tell you are trying to make the children cooperate as much as possible. Yet, they are exquisitely immaculate, rendering me to role my eyes, half way to Friday.
I love your videos. When I can not figure out an area I'm studying I always go to your videos.
I learn more from these videos than from my college precalc prof. Thank you so much.
Thanks for all the YayMath videos, tons of help. Much appreciated!!!
Thank you. I had a 7th grade math quiz and had no idea how to do the inverses. This video helped me relearn it.
Trig in 7th grade ? Wtf man ? Are you Asian ? xD
Aman Parmar racist much?
Love the Hebrew thrown in at 21:30
Some Caught Tripping
Old Another On SOHCAHTOA
Hippie Hippie Acid
OMG THATS SO SMART
Helpful
I never heard of this mantra
You have really helped me understand concepts and helped improve my grade in school, thank you
Sir im from Mauritius and i envy your way of teaching maths..teachers in my school are so boring and you are exceptionnal..thank you for your videos which are very useful for my revision for the GCE O level exams in november..
thanks again :)
God bless this. It really helped me
I'm taking a college trigonometry class this quarter and this is going to help me so much!
YOU MADE IT SO MUCH EASIER TO UNDERSTAND! Thank you!
you're amazing at what you do! you need a raise. I wish you would make conversion unit , sig fig and etc videos for chemistry tho ! thanks for your help!
Fantastic skills, even for late learning..
Thanks so much!!! Your,talent is well,shown! :-)
you are a gift from god thank you so much ,your students are very lucky to have you as a teacher
A very funny prof. I remember it when i studied engr 'ng ,we have teacher in integral very funny too. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK Prof.
"opposite over hypothesis"
This is really helpful. Very clear and good examples.
Thank you so, so much for uploading this. You're way too nice.
i’d never miss a class if this dude was my math teacher
love this guy!!!!! I might pass my Praxis due to his videos!
You are the boss of Math....Thank you, Math s simple and good.
The hero we did not deserve but the hero we needed.
Good explanation of the basics!
Hi! Sure can. Please see the 45-45-90 video on YayMath.org, under Geometry.
Great video, made basic trig sound easy.
Sin=perpendicular/hypotenuse
Cos=base/hypotenuse
Tan=perpendicular/base
And Trick is--- PBP/HHB
yaymath your the best thank you for saving my grades in science and math ;D
Question
After you already find one side, couldn't you just do Pythagorean theorem to find the remaining side? I know that it's better practice to not to but it's certainly less tedious
This guy is great! These are very nice kids as well!
It's cool to see someone so smart with a clear and strict upbringing handling the immaturity and young minds of American students. If this guy teamed up with Sal from Khan academy, they would dominate.
To counter it, though, we have your enlightened and wonderful opinion! Bless you!
thanks for the help! i don't know why my teacher is teaching this in his geometry class but at least i got it now!
it's seldom to find GOOD math teachers - excellent job !! #yaymath lOl
u are literally better than all my math teachers
Holy shit .....this guy really help me out !!! A yaymath
A weeeeee
maths teaches us patience. you are doing well.
Trig is very relevant. For example:
John is leg pressing 400 lbs on a 45 degree sled. How much John really lifting in terms of leg strength?
I shouldn't be watching this at 12 am cus I get hella deep in this shizz if I lack rest. And I'm in 8th grade
Boi I’m in eight grade too and I already knew all this before I watched it. And I sleep at 2 daily. 12 is nothing.
THANK YOU SIR .........You made much easy.
Awesome video!
Very Good and so nicely!!!
The beginning of this video, I was wheezing
you make more sense than my math teacher
"Dumb Classmates Simulator 2013"
awesome video helped a lot thanks
This is very effective thank you
This is an amazing video 📸😍
I am going into pre calc, can anyone suggest a good set of videos, cause I am sorely behind on the whole concept that is this "math" 😂
try khanacademy www.khanacademy.org/math/precalculus
It'd be awesome if you had some videos on Exponential, cubic and reciprocal functions!
YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER THANK YOU SO MUCH :))))
hello can some 1 please tell me how did he got the small possible numbers for the 45,45 triangle and 60,30 triangle also how do you get the half of pie like pie/6 pie/2 please reply thats the only part i dont get.
great work..perfect..
you're maths have a very big concept
he is a really good teacher
best video ever
Nice video it helped thank you
He deserves a tonnes of likes..
why can't every math teacher be like you?
You are a hero
I really love this.the cheapest way to learn math.
At 14:30, at sin, shouldn't it be y/14 instead of x/14, soh, opp/hypotenuse
i appreciate you man.
when you multiply for sin in his example, could it also be x = 40 sin 12? Does the order of the numbers matter or does it have to be x = 12 sin 40?
it can not be like sin 12, because 12 is not an angle. :)
I don't understand what you are doing when you write the 1, 1, and square root of two on the outside of the triangle?
If a triangle's angles are 45, 45 and 90, The sides with be length x and the hypotenuse will be x times square root of 2. In that case he used the numbers 1 as x and 1 times square root of 2 is just square root of 2. :)
if only you did more trig videos!!!
Lol... the kids in my math class hate this guy... I like him, he's funny
I understood a lot of this but it still got confusing and the students seemed like they were way ahead of me. I'm in the middle of an algebra 2 course and have done a little geometry, learning the basics, but you lost me on some parts of this. Especially when you started bringing in radicals, lol they're the only part of algebra that gave me trouble.
20:00 ish why is degree mode used instead of radian? When the two numbers used are side lengths not degrees of angles
27:20 Oml he explained that soooo well. My teacher would have been like "well, you take 1 on both of the legs, then you need to square it because its a 45 45 90 triangle... oh why is there a 2. Well because its x root 2, so x is 1 then you do a root 2 in front of the 1, and the one goes away. Do you get it now?"
Me: "Yeah" *wtf are you talking about*
thats why i NEVER ask questions anymore
Hey there! Do you mind doing lessons for standard form? It's pretty confusing to me! Thanks a bunch!
my math teacher is terrible thank you sooooo much i have finals coming up and i was so scared!
Same, I feel ya. My math teacher isn't that great, and he told us to come watch this guy.
Thanks always
I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!
Good video!
Good job done thanks lot...
You are amazing
