I'm experiencing a weird bug that only seems to apply to the "Note to MAP - two values" device. If I open the project, and press the correct button on my FCB1010, nothing happens and the signal stays dry. The second time I press it, the desired effect works. I don't have to press the button twice to trigger the changes from that point onward as long as I don't close the project. Why do I have to press the button twice to trigger the change when I first open my project?
Hey - this is not a bug but intended behaviour. You are toggling between two values regardless of the state of the MAPed parameter. e.g. IF MAPed to a track activator button and sending "0"+"127" (On/Off) : IF the button is already "Off" and you send it a "0" it will stay off. Are you aware of my "FCB1010 Foot Control" plugin and the "MAP To" function on there? This will observe the MAPed parameter and trigger the opposite value. blog.abletondrummer.com/fcb-1010-with-ableton-live/
@@abletondrummer Yes, I have the plugin and I've used that function, I just have some macro values that I'm mapping back and forth between during my set, so not quite an 0/1 situation. It sounds like what you're describing is exactly what's happening though, and I can find a workaround now that this is confirmed. Thank you!
You can place it in front of the looper (or send the Midi To from the track it is sitting on the track the looper is on) and set it to send Midi Notes. You then need the Looper Functions to receive those Midi notes
I guess it's only possible with Scenes, but you can delete all "Stop" buttons on a scene and only place one clip you want to play into the whole lane, then it only plays this single clip, while others are still running (because you removed the STOP buttons) :-) hope that helps

@@abletondrummerOh, something I thought of- I’m able to use Ableton’s native key mapping feature with the Looper quite easily. If a future version of your FCB M4L device included a KEY option along with NOTE and MAP-PARAM for programming the individual pedals, this could potentially support users who want to access those features of Max that are trickier to get to through the API.
The device I got in the pipeline is much 'cleaner' and more accessible for more users (I hope haha) - just in case: You are aware of my One Button Live Looper? blog.abletondrummer.com/live-looping-with-ableton-live/
@@abletondrummer Sorry I'm very late to reply- yes, I'm aware of it just trying not to buy another of your devices if I can help it- may end up doing so anyways
Thank you!
how can I use your device with the looper ?
You can place it in front of the looper (or send the Midi To from the track it is sitting on the track the looper is on) and set it to send Midi Notes. You then need the Looper Functions to receive those Midi notes
a new Tuto would be a great idea ....@@abletondrummer
Does this work the same as I have modded my fcb with a Eureka chip?
Please write me an email
I did but you haven't replied @@abletondrummer
@@shawnmorgan7839 Hey I replied and just sent it again - Please check your spam folder.
how do you trigger individual clips?
I guess it's only possible with Scenes, but you can delete all "Stop" buttons on a scene and only place one clip you want to play into the whole lane, then it only plays this single clip, while others are still running (because you removed the STOP buttons) :-) hope that helps
I was JUST dusting my FCB off, trying to get into programming it and was about to give up again. Coding MIDI is definitely NOT my favorite use of time. Thanks!
ha great! that's why I made this
@@abletondrummer Ok, I know this just came out, but are you doing any Black Friday sales? Just curious. Thanks!
