Age doesn't matter. What you bring on to the table is what matters. Even if you are young, you will be fired if you are not good at your job. Be irreplaceable, then company won't touch you regardless of your age.

Boss IT boom started in mid 1995-2000. Before that there was IT jobs but number was very less. So obviously whoever joined in year 2000 will only be 40. Wait for 20 years then only You will see IT will see 50-55 aged

I am working as Technical Support in Bangalore. In bangalore more IT recession is going, no client. Who are jobless are searching for any job to survive. I guess by next 5 years there won't requirement for technical and Non technical job vacancies.

15:16 because they have moved ahead and will be in senior management roles. They do not commute by public transport or come out for the break with juniors. So you never get a chance to meet them. They must have at least 1 home in Chennai without any loan, a car without EMI, and liquid cash in hand. I know many such people well-settled in Chennai. I have been in IT for 23+ years, left India when I had 5 years of IT experience. Working at onsite gives immense visibility of the Customer business and IT trend.
Those who do not learn, go up in their careers and do the same work for the last 10 to 15 years will be sent home. Complaining about no hope in IT after 40.

Age doesn't matter brother... skills are more important...one cent advise is to learn amd keep yourself updated in Cloud computing/AI/data science/Agile ways of working etc...industry is evolving so doesnt matter if you are 20 or 40...anyone can be laid off at anytime if we are out of the trend and technology market. Am 40 now somehow surviving

I have done MCA I think I can answer your question... By default be/ btech is more preferable by corporate aspects. But for job aspect you need to be better on core skills... My suggestion is just follow the dream with passion and dedication . You will be somewhere in the better position..
If you are comparing bca with btech... Btech is better.
