I remember stopping at a rest stop terrified for my life because I was getting low on gas and it was pitch black in I think... Montana. The roads were so long and twisty and I was going up crazy tall mountains... dude I should have planned a route ahead of time. ANYWAYS- Those moments with my little weed pipe and this podcast are something of "self comfort" that I keep in my mind forever and always. I felt so much safer locked in that SUV in the middle of nowhere with my dogs and my pipe and that podcast. I downloaded all the episodes and relistened to them the entire journey, since listening to them in current time I knew I probably missed skids here and there, and the podcast brought a comforting vibe. Not to be that annoying stoner but there really are different strands and sativa is more of an upper and indica makes you very lazy and sleepy. I have had 3 fractured vertebrae and have recently started smoking and eating edibles, I can go to work and function normally. But it all depends on you and how you react. I prefer this over pain meds for sure
I honestly think that is amazing! My Besty stopped an addiction to pain meds with flower. I personally think it's everyone's own decision and if it benefits your well being ... go and get the best for your life

As someone who is 27 years sober I have done my fair share of substances, but I choose to no longer live that way (it’s really bad for me, but I’m in favor of others doing as they choose). All that being said I have excruciating cramps like Rachel (maybe even worse) and I have found CBD bath bombs and salve directly on my stomach make a world of difference, it helps more than pain meds (also I am limited as to what I can take because I have a kidney disease) and CBD is safe.
I’ve had a very similar experience like Emily’s with the feeling like you’re gonna pee but being too scared to let it happen with a partner in case it actually is pee 😂😂
I used to be a very very heavy smoker, all day every day for 8 years and i developed Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome and whenever i smoke now i have panic attacks so thats fun.....

I don't like weed either. I tried it several times and could never get stoned. Last month at a wedding after party, I tried again (and was also tipsy) and got stoned OUT OF MY MIND. Tbh I do smoke weed but I’m not the type of person that if someone tells me they don’t smoke bc they don’t like it I don’t go on like well have you tried this this and that I’m more the type where I’m like okay and I leave it alone. Weed isn’t for everyone and that’s okay it just personally helps with my anxiety that’s why I started and tmi it helps with my ibs ( irritable bowel syndrome) and it helps my depression but that’s just me.

I'm with Emily, I have no desire to get high. I also don't drink because I am terrified to not be in control of my actions. I hate the smell of weed, but edibles doesn't sound fun either because I don't want to know what it feels like to not be myself. I don't like weed either. I tried it several times and could never get stoned. Last month at a wedding after party, I tried again (and was also tipsy) and got stoned OUT OF MY MIND. I was first convinced that I was dead actually dead, like that I had crashed my car on the way there and died, then after I decided I was probably alive, I was just convinced nothing was real. Then ate way too many spicy chips and couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, lmao
Dude I hate having weed in my body i honestly don't function.. to that reason! I literally cannot speak and fall asleep within like ten minutes! And people always question why I won't try again.... I simply know it isn't for me... I have no use, no fun, I just shut off.... like a robot... power down.. I am thankful that there's a medicine that TRULEY helps so many... unfortunately .. Tbh I do smoke weed but I’m not the type of person that if someone tells me they don’t smoke bc they don’t like it I don’t go on like well have you tried this this and that I’m more the type where I’m like okay and I leave it alone. Weed isn’t for everyone and that’s okay it just personally helps with my anxiety that’s why I started and tmi it helps with my ibs ( irritable bowel syndrome) and it helps my depression but that’s just me.
Also it helps me get more work done because I’m more focused
