Usually the cashier seem uncomfortable accepting coupons but the managers are on point.

Sometimes if you show a cashier/manager that the coupon clearly states that the establishment will receive the money back for the coupon plus $.08, that's making the store MORE money they will change their perspective of coupons 🤷🏼♀️💰 💰 why would they kick you out for that? 🤦🏼♀️ It's a stigma about coupons and couponers
So, thank you!!! This video PROVES that all the cashiers and managers at Dollar Tree who REFUSE to accept my exact same coupons by saying, "there's nothing we can do if the system beeps" are not telling the truth. Lol

I have learned couponing has everything to do with the cashier and or manager and what they feel like allowing.
Same experience at Dollar General. I've been told many times my coupons are not acceptable when following exactly what is done by others.
And I am the most nice and polite couponer to ever grace their store.

Very nice haul. Very nice store tio. 😀 I've never had a problem getting them to put my coupons through. They read the coupon. They make sure the product qualifies. They put it through. This was a good training session for the new employee too. Now another person in your store can do your coupons. Yay! 😀😀😀😀
I went today and tried the 75 cent off one Jimmy Dean frozen item. It beeped and the cashier who was very nice, called over the manager. She looked at the screen and said, "well there is nothing we can do".
She stated they aren't allowed to push the coupons through because of the system. She did verify that the item matched the description of the coupon. She didn't seem to want to help.
To be honest if the coupon is the correct coupon even if it beeps they should put it through. I've had coupons @ dollar tree where the items were the exact items featured on the coupon, exact quantity and everything and it still beeped. I just have the manager examine it and they put it through as long as it's correct. It's crazy that customer's have to go through that especially when they accept coupons at their establishment.
I love your videos and you are the one that opened my eyes to couponing at DT! I have gone about 4 times so far... the Time before last I had a manager rudely tell me to bring all my items and coupons to her register where she spent 20 plus minutes reading every single coupon (even when the were multiple of the same coupons) and rescan everything on her register then said well the coupon beeps we can't push them through because it will cause a "cash shortage" for the store!? What???? Smh....
Left that DT went to another one down the street and they pushed every coupon through (even ringing the ones for over $1 into system) no issues what so ever! Found my go to DT now...

Products like that are typically sometimes they get in every once and a while. Usually overstock products or limited time things.
You just need to try and look for a dollar tree and try to use coupons to see how the cashiers and managers are. I work at a Dollar tree and the cashiers at my store and the managers are great at taking coupons. But I've been to a few that won't push it through if it beeps and they could if they want to, I don't understand why people are like that tho.

I really wish all Dollar Tree managers would be as nice as urs. So lucky tell her she needs 2offer 2come train other managers so that then they can go back and retrain there employees. Dollar tree has very old systems and I think they want to keep it that way.

I'm in Jacksonville area and at least one of the dollar tree's I go to claims " if it beeps you can't use it" I wasn't even at the register when the manager snarkily walked past me in a aisle said that and said and that "they don't have access to override if it beeps". Then when I did check it out the Excedrin of course beeped and they claimed that because it was for 1.50 not a dollar it couldn't be used. It's so frustrating when a chain store have single stores that make up their own rules not corporate. That manager needs to train everyone in the state! Lol.

It's a shame and a loose for them because I take my business elsewhere when they act up that way. Yesterday I left everything on the register counter... for coupons and without coupons, around 60$worth. Sorry not sorry.

So I watch ever one of your videos. (Even for the stores I don’t shop at). I decided to give couponing a try at my local Dollar Tree. It went well. Some of them beeped and some didn’t but the associate pushed it through. He was so shocked at what I saved! He said “wow this is such a good deal.” Thank you for the great videos always.

Yes, they do favor you because you are nice! If you've ever worked customer service, you know not everyone is nice-people who want to get LOUD, yell, get huffy, etc. yes, I'll help them, but just to the limit I legally (according to store policy) have to. A person who is nice, polite, quiet, YES, this person gets the whole enchilada-for example, if there is some sort of freebie, or it involves pushing a coupon through, etc. we will bend over backwards for you!

I use the .55 Jimmy Dean coupon on the mini sausage pancake things. It will keep on the sausage links but they've pushed it thru. Great video!

My dt won’t push coupons through for items that are actually for the products size & all... They act like I’m stealing but why would companies put out coupons if they don’t want you to use them... So I’m not stealing.... If the store has the items & is in the guide lines of the items then they should accept it regardless if it scans or not. The employees do not make the rules.......

Update: I pulled the policy and they were supposed to accept the coupon due to the items $was within the coupon amount in fact I was accepting a $1 loss.. what have I learned from this: “no the store policy and have them with you “ as clearly the clerk did not no nor the store manager.

Dollar Tree is a favorite of mine. I did not think they took coupons.
That's all the sales associates has to do, if it beeps, just put it in manually that's what the button is for. As long as the coupon and item matches, it should never be a problem.
