Seeing these beloved 80s groups still performing helps me cope and keep my sanity in this very insane world. If they can go on so can I. Thank you Human League! ❤
Meanwhile, I too, love watching the 80s bands performing today as well. It's like the musical act for the party flaked out so the parents take the instruments and rock out, saving the party.
If only we had a Time Machine to go back to the 80’s. Great music, much less division, no social media or smartphones to distract us from connecting with one another.
@@gymratt42 I'm working on time machine and when I finally finish it, I'm taking everybody for a wonderful trip to 1978 for pizza, 1979 to show the kids what happens when you call a Rock N Roller's boots "disco" and then to 1977 to see STAR WARS. After that, anywhen anyone wants. You're all invited.
Phil Oakey, Joanne Catherall, and Susan Ann Sulley's continued existence as a The Human Legue is a testament to their loyalty and commitment to each other. They also sang many awesome songs!
Do people in 2023 realize how HUGE this song was when released? And THAT sound so iconic? I was a child but really happy I went through it at the time ❤
Being young in the 80s was amazing we could afford to go out to the clubs Thurs Friday and Saturday night every week, we lived for the weekends, fashion, make up and music I had my own car at age 18 a job and some really good friends
But strangely bands like The Human League never seemed to tour. I think Ultravox, A Flock of Seagulls, and Dollar were the only bands I wanted to see who made it to Bristol U.K. back then.
It's strange that after 40 years from first hearing this, I never tire of hearing this song. The reason is because it's a Masterpiece. The sounds, rhythms, Phil and the girls vocals work perfectly.
I can remember at 18 years old going into sundown records and buying this loved this band in the late 70s early 80s even had same hairstyle fk me still have my hair though might be a bit grey though
We've gone on a few 70s cruises in the last few years and the talent of the 70s and 80s bands is just insane. They all still sound so good and put on amazing shows.
I grew up in Nashville, TN and everyone was in a band (Music City, USA). I graduated HS in 1984 and the band I played bass in had a keyboard/synthesizer player. That meant we covered the Police, INXS, Flock of Seagulls, Aldo Nova, Duran Duran, Loverboy, Survivor and this Awesome song! Just like this audience, our crowds would sing the chorus as well. Like everyone else that was a teenager in the 80's.... we ALL KNOW IT WAS THE BEST MUSIC EVER!!! Due in part to the thing called MTV. I count myself lucky to be one of the witnesses to that epic decade.
I think that was the first time I ever fell in love, was back in the 80's seeing that blonde from Human League on their original video from Top of the Pops. Shaweeeeng
eexactly out of all or most of these *80s new romantic bands* human league have still got it specially with phils vocals which sounds like nothings changed
I was 10 years old ! What a blast ! My cousins from England introduced me to this kind of music! Depeche mode etc...and like 12 years later i worked for Depeche Mode on 3 of their tours!
This is an impressive reproduction of the original tune, timing & enthusiasm that are so often missing when other retro stars set out to dazzle the fans by their presence alone.
80's the best decade .. music , style , fashion ,, let's bring it back !!!
best videogames, best home computers, best board games, best anime, best game books, best toys
'70s, '90s and early '00s too. Heck, even the '50s and '60s.
Best...no handys...no internet...no bitcoins.
@@ALANO-himself Yeah baby!
I wonder where have all those British music talents gone...... New wave / new romantic / synth pop culture of the '80s SHOULD sustain forever~~~~~~
I'm always happy if artists kept their vocal capabilities after decades. See also: Robert Smith from The Cure.
Seeing these beloved 80s groups still performing helps me cope and keep my sanity in this very insane world. If they can go on so can I. Thank you Human League! ❤
The world of 1981 was substantially more frightening and dangerous than today. We had better music, though.
Meanwhile, I too, love watching the 80s bands performing today as well. It's like the musical act for the party flaked out so the parents take the instruments and rock out, saving the party.

God, yes. They were the best times. I'm so glad I was there & lived through it. 👍
Class of 1984❤❤❤
They still sound amazing for sure!

Wonderful music and time in the 80's!
My favorite song of the '80s!
Sí ❤
It was my favorite too. Hard to believe 45 + years have gone by. Loved that group.

But strangely bands like The Human League never seemed to tour. I think Ultravox, A Flock of Seagulls, and Dollar were the only bands I wanted to see who made it to Bristol U.K. back then.
One of the most iconic anthems of the 80s.
According to a source I have read, combining the American and British markets it was the best-selling song of the decade.
Great spot! I wonder what he was thinking?
42 year old song , and still sounds fresh as a daisy thanks for not stopping HL!
Best of the 80's

Best years ever. I was eleven and wanted to be one of the Human League girls. Fabulous.
Phil's still looking and sounding great.

Nice to see that Oakley and the girls are still Together in their electric dream...
Really nice to know they still on the road ! Pure talent same voices

Yes I'm happy to see (and hear) that they kept alive their joy to sing and play on stage. Wonderful !
@@michelnivert6404 The lady singer must've left her talent way back in the 80, s then cuz she certainly can't sing in tune in Madrid 2023🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@gmantramp404 She's better than many young artists.
That sound. So fresh. Like the time stood still. Great.
@Klemheist Well, it was more the music itself, that I meant. They played it like it should sound. Very close to the original extended studio version.
@Klemheist The backup singers sounded awful, maybe it is time to quit yes.
Not one, but two key-tars! The Iron Maiden of 80s Fab music.
Os anos 80, sem dúvida, foram os melhores! Saudade eterna.
Loved them back in the day. Great to see them still enjoying performing. ❤
They still sound great! Especially the lead singer.
Are you on acid? They sound crap and I love the human league.

Nice pop song and popular, which is what Phil wanted. Their best stuff was in their first two albums, pure genius.
THEY ARE STILL THE SOUND OF THE FUTURE! Will the world ever catch up?!
