    I laugh every time I watch this. When he drops the screw and then finds the first one LOLOLOL. But with all of that I still found it helpful and educational. Thanks Geoff. Great job.

    1) I respect you for making the video - Thank you for doing this, reason why I am here watching
    2) He should unlock the shoe so it will move up and down freely.
    3) One must use "that" tool he showed to remove the Tension on the original spring, else you may get hurt, please note to noise when he removes the top screw The unscrew the at 2:37AM
    Note: I loved the good sense of humor. Cheers

    Greetings, thank you so much for this informative, entertaining video. Are these instructions for all windows tilt windows no matter the name? I live in a '96 - '97 doublewide mobile home with Philips windows and the gadget your replacing needs to be replaced on the majority of my windows.

      Thanks so much for your kind words. You can google Philips window parts and see what you can find. There are a lot of online parts stores. You may need to invest quite a bit of time searching but normally I can find most things I need.

    What was that material that cracked when you pulled the screw out at 2:29? It came out with the spring and you are holding it with your right hand at 3:10. Looked like it could be foam or plastic but hard to tell.

      We took the tension spring out of the window. The white plastic was the casing the encloses the spring. It breaks off when you take it out of the window.

    Is it the same set up for the upper outside window? Meaning you did the lower inside just to be clear

    • @homerehabpros9617

      Yes it would be. Both sashes are built with the same tension bars

    How do you know how much to tension the new rod before installing?

    • @homerehabpros9617
      @homerehabpros9617  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question Robert. The answer to your question is I make it a rule of thumb to twist it 3 to 4 times , the amount may very due to the weight of the window so we adjust as necessary. Thank you for watching and feel free to ask if you have anymore questions 👍

      @@homerehabpros9617 I've seen others twist it 10 to 15 times? Is that ok? Also, my window has two springs, one on each side. Do I have to install both or just one? Both springs are broken and waiting for amazon to deliver them tomorrow.

    • @homerehabpros9617
      @homerehabpros9617  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kojimasan444 I would definitely install both of them. 10 to 15 times seems excessive and could put to much tension there but I don’t think it would hurt anything.

    • @homerehabpros9617

      You can remove the part and use it to compare. You can find some online window parts suppliers, or you can go to Home Depot, or Lowe’s, etc and talk to someone in the window department. Sometimes a local hardware store can help as well. I will say that sometimes it can be a bit challenging, but we have always been able to find what we needed.

    • @homerehabpros9617
      @homerehabpros9617  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is true…it can be hard to find parts. We have sometimes had to go online for older window parts. Sometimes, if you have the old part you can take it to Home Depot or Lowes and they can order them. Sometimes a local Hardware store can do things like that as well.
