I going to buy that book for my friends, because it explains a lot about the dynamics of male and female mindset. Read it too, that's why I'm comfortable in my skin.😂
It may have been recorded at the Dry Bar, but this is a TED Talk!! All women, young and old, need to hear this!! Maybe I wouldn't be a 59-year-old MGTOW, hoping just to be left alone today! ps. My name is NOT Larry!

Married many years now, we laughed till we cried. So spot on!! I learned early on to tell my husband the right answer right after I finished spouting, that way he'd get it right! He has a perfect track record!
First hold yourself accountable for why you are asking. Then ask the question or request the thing you are really seeking. So "which colour shall we paint the wall?" Becomes "I feel like painting the wall this colour from Instagram but I'm worried it's too much" The second one he understands your goal and your hesitancy. If he's smart he knows his job is to state that he prefers the colour you want to try, so that if you regret the decision you can blame it on him when people visit
Monique, this show you put on the Dry Bar is Solid Gold! I was so excited to see more but this is the only clean one I can find. Please know there is a huge audience that wants more of your amazing wit and clean joke side. Thank you so much
True . My first wife filed for divorce because she was tormented by her “Expectations “ of me. I never lived up to her millions of daily thoughts. I used to say “ I’m still the same guy married “. She said I know who I married…but you are not going to stay that way… Man did she do me a favor !
I’m fascinated by that. Have you ever been with a no talker man? I’ve had both experiences and I talk less and get overwhelmed with nonstop talker guys. And my husband is a no talker and so I get nervous and talk a lot. There’s no balance out there! 😅
@@MariaElena51185 I have and we were both fine with lots of silence. Overwhelm is right. My brain just shuts down after the first several minutes of my husband’s drawn out stories.
OMG, some of this is so true! I once found a bumper sticker from one of our road trips while cleaning out a closet and taped it onto the fridge for decoration. After a week had gone by without him making any remark about it, I asked. He said that yes, he'd noticed and liked it, but had been afraid to say anything in case I told him it had been there for the last six months!
True story: first Christmas married, my dad told my mom, “How about we don’t get a tree? They drop needles everywhere and then they just die.” He’s salt of the earth, but he really didn’t want any decorations.
"why are you asking questions for anyway. You do whatever you want". The amount of times a woman will ask you a rhetorical question is enough to drive you crazy.
She is hilarious because she is right on the dot! I have been married almost 31yrs because I am not chatty at all (my husband starts talking to me when I haven't said a word for some time) and I watched my dad being how she describes men to be like. I haven't laughed so hard to hear the truth.

So what have you learnt? The fact that the guys are not offended and we women look like fools just yapping our way through all of this, is kind of sad. What should ‘we’ do to live happily ever after then? Is it to not care anymore? Is it to just shut up and not be ourselves around them? What have you written down and what can you learn from them?
Mrs. Rick here. This lady speaks the truth - just ask my husband (of 38 years). He says that a man meets a woman he likes and thinks "She's perfect - just the way she is!". A woman, however, meets a man she likes and thinks, "Hmm. I can work with this." Ladies, your man will never be your best girlfriend. If you ask what he's thinking and he says "Nothin'" - believe him! They actually sit around and not think! Men have 3 things they NEED from their wives, and in this order: respect, sex, and food. Give him those things, and the battle is won, unless you found yourself a real loser. Remember these things. You can thank me later.
I’d love your definition of a “real loser.” Contemplating divorcing my husband but don’t want to regret it by thinking there has to be better out there for me. He has a lying problem. Lied about how many times he was previously married, lied about how many kids he has, lied when he stole money from our emergency fund, lied when I caught him trying to cheat on me. I’d love to give a man respect, sex and food and be okay with our differences as a man and woman. He’s a good man in the sense of providing for his family but is he a loser for destroying my trust and using yelling as a mode of communication more often than night? Trying to make the right decision for the sake of our son.
@@stefyaruta Stef: I can't tell you what to do. But a boy learns how to be a man by watching how his father does this, how he treats his wife, for one thing. Lying and cheating are contagious too, because if dad does it, it must be okay, right? Ask yourself how much more of this you can tolerate. If he's cheated, you better go get checked for std's. If he lies about number of marriages and children, how much worse can his lies get? If you do decide to divorce him, before you say a word to him about it, I would contact a good divorce lawyer for best advice on how to protect yourself. Gather up all relevant financial records (bank statements, credit card statements back a year or two, etc.) and personal documents like birth certificates, marriage licenses, etc. and make copies before replacing the originals. Except for your and your son's birth certificates. Maybe get a safety deposit box for those things and valuables like jewelry. Make sure you have his social security number too. It's amazing what you find out about these guys after you split up - I've been there. Also amazing how quickly they will turn on you re: your finances, once you split. So I'd recommend that you open a new bank account and transfer as much as you can into it, even if you don't leave him. You need some security from a guy like this. I wish you all the best, and I'm going to pray for you right now. It really sounds like the only thing he does right is hold a job.
@@stefyaruta If the only way he can get what he wants is by lying and yelling, then that's what he's going to do. Because the moment he stops getting what he wants is the moment you stop respecting him, and neither of you want that to happen.
@@BurntMoth-rs5pn, I feel like it’s a lose lose situation here. Because I don’t respect him after years of dealing with this. Now that I’ve been to a divorce attorney and am getting an agreement drawn up to protect our son and I, he wants to take it seriously and “try” to do better. But how am I supposed to forget everything and respect him let alone have feelings for him? It’s so hard. I don’t want to tear my family apart but I am so checked out at this point. It’s like too little, too late. And how am I supposed to trust he’s actually taking it seriously.
@@stefyaruta I don't know exactly what your situation is. I can only offer very general advice. The whole unspoken point of the video above is that, he's not going to change for you, you have to change for him. If you're not prepared to change for him, then you're not going to want to change for the next guy, and you'll either have the same problem with the same kind of guy, or you'll be stuck with a dude who is super docile and you'll hate him for that way more. That's usually how it goes. There is hope for you tho. Men respond really well to rewards. So if he gets rewarded for yelling and lying, he's going to yell and lie. But if he get rewarded for working hard and being nice, he's going to work hard and be nice. You need to understand what it is that he wants from life, so you can help him get it all. If you get the hang of that, he will give you a great life in return. Probably not a billionaire life, but who get's one of them? Like I say, I don't know your personal situation, so please take this all with a grain of salt. And best of luck out there, cause it's tough all round.
Fabulous! My mother taught me that if you want to know anything from a man, don't ask him. Be busy, and he will start talking. When he does, shut up and don't ask questions.

I'm a 69 year old man and you were spot on about men......someone finally understands us
I can't stop watching this.
Love the accuracy.
When i read, " Men are from Mars, Women from Venus" and learned all this in the 90s, my mind was blown !
Hearing this comédienne's take on our basic différences in this " gender-confused" environnement we now live in was just brilliant !!!
*I (this word should always be capitalized)
*'90s
*blown!
*environment
*brilliant!!!
I going to buy that book for my friends, because it explains a lot about the dynamics of male and female mindset. Read it too, that's why I'm comfortable in my skin.😂
@alvallac2171 says who. You can't capitalize 90s. Stop trying to give advice, because it not you're strong suite....AT ALL!!!
Most women think all the time. The proof that men think so rarely is that when one crops up there is a special name for him - philosopher.
rofl!
Stupid enough to build and maintain all the infrastructure you use to share your foolishness lol
Brilliant!! 😅😅😂
Lol
i htink about ancient rome all the time
It may have been recorded at the Dry Bar, but this is a TED Talk!!
All women, young and old, need to hear this!!
Maybe I wouldn't be a 59-year-old MGTOW, hoping just to be left alone today!
ps. My name is NOT Larry!
Monique I've listened to this 50 times and shared it at least 10x. Keep it coming. You get it
“The man in ur life who loves you will not be paying attention to you.”
That’s gold. Loving != paying attention
This lady should start a career in relationship guidance, she really gets it. Her truth is funnier than the actual jokes, and you can't say that about many people.
Finally a woman who understands me, 😂😂
😅
@@edithdlp8045 Yea because now she knows she was at fault 😂
All these facts and knowledge and still has 3 strikes. Wow
News flash: all women understand you but good luck finding one that's compatible and complimentary.
A woman who understands men don't deserve the effort women put into them
Give this woman 15 minuts and she will stop the war.
True love is not “because of” but “in spite of”.
The tragedy of married life. She keeps hoping that he will change. He keeps hoping that she will never change. 🤨
You mean he keep hoping her vagina will never change ... was she silent when he met her?
Preach it girl. Just stop talking to them. Give them one word answers and ask them questions that only need a yes or no.
Married many years now, we laughed till we cried. So spot on!! I learned early on to tell my husband the right answer right after I finished spouting, that way he'd get it right! He has a perfect track record!
Could you explain? I want to learn how to do that 😊 how do you tell him the right answer!
First hold yourself accountable for why you are asking. Then ask the question or request the thing you are really seeking.
So "which colour shall we paint the wall?" Becomes "I feel like painting the wall this colour from Instagram but I'm worried it's too much"
The second one he understands your goal and your hesitancy.
If he's smart he knows his job is to state that he prefers the colour you want to try, so that if you regret the decision you can blame it on him when people visit
Women are the masters of avoiding all accountability and responsibility.
This is absolutely the best relationship advice on the internet. Every woman should hear this because it is spot on,dead center on target.
The women know, it's the men who don't. Why would anyone be with crazies and expected compatibility?
My husband and I have reversed roles. My husband’s the talker. It takes him 10 minutes to say what I could say in less than 1!!
Yes and it was blissfully quiet.
@@deelicious1610 there is a chance that he is neuro atypical.
When is his sex change surgery scheduled? 😂
Wish Dry Bar still showed full episodes.... would have really liked to have seen this one !!!
They have full episodes on their app👍🏿
OMG, some of this is so true! I once found a bumper sticker from one of our road trips while cleaning out a closet and taped it onto the fridge for decoration. After a week had gone by without him making any remark about it, I asked. He said that yes, he'd noticed and liked it, but had been afraid to say anything in case I told him it had been there for the last six months!
True story: first Christmas married, my dad told my mom, “How about we don’t get a tree? They drop needles everywhere and then they just die.” He’s salt of the earth, but he really didn’t want any decorations.
Bravo from Pennsylvania!!!! Monique is tuned in brilliantly. Powerful and precise delivery. Serious talent and I'm thrilled!
She is amazingly good. Surprised I havent heard of her before, she's that good. And she's pretty much right, overall
"why are you asking questions for anyway. You do whatever you want". The amount of times a woman will ask you a rhetorical question is enough to drive you crazy.
Ahhh this woman is gold! Bless her forever
Monique is the best. I rate her as funny as anyone I have ever heard. Thank you for understanding me Monique!
Hope she finds her LareBare 😂
Me too
The moment you realize she is right, your life will be so easier ladies. We are simple. Too bad it took her 3 marriages to learn all this.😅.
Exactly 😂
She was just hopeful she was wrong about men...my dad was my example; some women don't get into conversing for no reason.
That's why I stopped dating altogether, better off single than invest so much in a guy only for him to use and dump
Trust me, I want others to save time!
The only thing I disagree with is when she said men are delusional. It’s the women that are delusional thinking they can change men
She is so funny. She has it so right with men.
Not funny but has it right about what she thinks is wrong with men.
I doubt you have met a real man. I know several and not one of them fits into her demeaning category.
I'm a 71 year old man. You are right. We don't change. Love u.
What can i say to shut this down??😂😂 Monique is SO good.
She is hilarious because she is right on the dot! I have been married almost 31yrs because I am not chatty at all (my husband starts talking to me when I haven't said a word for some time) and I watched my dad being how she describes men to be like. I haven't laughed so hard to hear the truth.
I need to watch this EVERYDAY to get my head right 😂
Seriously girl😂
One of the top performers on the channel. Fantastic delivery!
I couldn’t stop laughing during the whole video. She is on another level.
This is hysterical & so true!! I’ve watched it & shared it numerous times!!!
What a funny talented comedian!!!! Love her
Just have to say Monique has an incredible understanding of both men and women. Her delivery was witty, saucy, and insightful. Her timing was precise and enhanced the ability of her audience to enjoy her perspective, and accept the truth of her presention with joyful comradery.
🤔
I identified with her description of the mindset of gender and had a really good time listening and understanding these mysterious truths that she has been able to share with us.
Needless to say, I am impressed with her ability to share comprehensable skills in cohabitation.
Kudos to you Monique! 👏 🥳🤭😉😆
Wicked funny--- and true ! :) Looking forward to hearing more !!! LOL !!!
first of all, I've got a pen and paper and I'm taking notes.
I've been going through a bad breakup for a while. I can't tell you what this video did for me today. It made things simple and clear and it's 100% accurate. Thank you so much!❤ You saved my day!
Quit laughing, i don't have a lot of time! 😂😅
She's hilariously on point. Thanks Ms Marvez😂
This should be a mandatory high school subject 😂
Funny from start to finish!!! 😂
Love the honesty
Very true, luv.
Men marry women hoping they'll never change - they always do.
Women marry men thinking they can change him - they cannot.
Mrs.
Hilarious! RIght on point. Loved this.
I've just discovered her. She is awesome.......very funny, no profanity, I'm sharing with my gf to try and explain myself.
This is hilarious but oh so true. Congratulations on finding your Larry. I never found mine.. lol
Me either.
Fabulous! My mother taught me that if you want to know anything from a man, don't ask him. Be busy, and he will start talking. When he does, shut up and don't ask questions.
While This is probably more impactful than a 6months pre-wedding counselling program, it's the most relatable & hilarious standup performance I've ever watched
8:14 That’s my husband there 😂He despises all holiday decorations 😂 8:38 yeah on the underwear. Married for three years, I have not seen him throw away a pair of underwear😢
It's only been 3 years, how often do you throw out underwear? Underwear is good for at least 10 years
@@matthewhunter6421Well, what I failed to mention was that he brought some underwear that already had some small tears and holes into the marriage 😂 He couldn’t be persuaded to part with them. I have added some new ones to his collection but he continues to wear the comfy old ones 😢
Wait till you see the entire elastic (mine doesn’t like boxers; I don’t know if they have an elastic band) go bad but if they still hold up they believe it’s all good. I just throw what I perceive is worth tossing (30yrs).
3rd marriage for me, but this wife gets it. Don't throw my stuff out. I have reasons for keeping it...and on a side note, I do have underwear 30 years old.....

Saw Monique prior to the 'rona and she was funny then. It is great to see that she is still as funny but with a modified set that approaches the absurdities of life from a slightly different angle.
This bit was HILARIOUS and every word rings true! Married 24 years. Thanks, Monique!
It's true. Thank you for advising all the young ones.
