  • I've selected one vinyl LP from each leap year, counting down from 2020 to 1968. It is not necessarily my favourite from the year, but I have selected a mix of styles and avoided records that I've talked about recently (as far as possible).

Really good idea Andy. I think your tour through the leap years really highlighted how varied your collection is. Nice video👍 Cheers...Mike.

Thanks, Mike. It was a good excuse to show records evenly across the years. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Why don't you give it a go yourself? Cheers, Mike. Andy

Hi Andy, interesting theme. Nice to see Black Mountain shown, I have all their albums in some format, 'In the Future' being my favourite. 'Evil Urges' another great album, as are lots of the others, even the 80s choices where you had little to pick from. Cheers Dale

Hi Dale. I only have the last two Black Mountain records. I really ought to go back and get the earlier ones. Thanks for watching, mate. Cheers

Hi Andy, what a lovely idea in showing us albums released in previous leap years. Our tastes seem to cross as yesterday I ordered The Doves “Universal Want” as it’s going for a very reasonable price on Amazon. I love My Morning Jacket though I only have the one album “It Still Moves”. I think Goldfrapp’s “Felt Mountain is a lovely album, I’m thinking of an upgrade as my original has been played to death and so showing its age. I regularly play “Hotel California” though perhaps many are tired of it as I always come across copies when visiting record fairs. Thanks for this outing Andy, I for one really enjoyed it. See you on the next one 👍

Thanks Myles. I Thought this concept would be a good excuse to select records evenly across the years. It was really hard to make a choice for some years. Thanks for watching again, mate. Cheers

I too saw Black Mountain on the KEXP broadcast and was wowed by them especially the track Space to Bakersfield. Liked the performance so much I created an audio file of it to play in the car. Got the album IV and a couple of others too. Great stuff.

It's an amazing trippy guitar wig-out! Psych at it's best. I bought their most recent album, Destroyer. I haven't gone back to the earlier stuff though... yet! Thanks fo watching. Cheers

Hi Andy, interesting video using leap year. I just kind leaped year meant I had to work one extra day before retirement so it sucked lol. I just recently picked up 2 Beach House albums, I rather enjoyed their music. Porcupine Tree, so many people talk about this group but I have never listened to them. I was worried they would be too slow and unexciting. I do need to listen to them. I use to have a lot of Goldfrapp CDs, like her voice. Nice showing of albums Andy

I thought it was a good excuse to select some albums evenly over time! Though it took much longer than usual to prepare. You should give Porcupine Tree a go, Steve. There are so many great albums, and it's not out-and-out prog. Fear of a Blank Planet is considered by many to be their masterpiece, but I'm not sure I'd start there. Lightbulb Sun from 2000 is very good and quite accesible. Also Deadwing. Thanks for watching, Steve. Cheers

Interesting concept for a video Andy, i enjoyed that.
One thing though, a David Sylvian album is better than Fugazi!!!! Whats wrong with you man, you nerd to see a doctor 😅😅😅😅😅😅

Haha. I thought you might react to me selecting Sylvian. But at least I should get some brownie points from Alan, if he watches it. Thanks for watching, mate. Cheers
