OMG! I love the unicorn nail. So pretty. I have the same issue and I want to over do things. Or, I try to add too many things into one set.
I know this video is a couple years old and I hope you see this comment/question… Have you ever tried to do the metallic polish in stripes and used the magnetic. In my head it sounds like a cool idea. I hope you know what I mean… do the stripes with the magnetic polish and use the magnetic as well.

Why do you sprinkle with acrylic powder and then another layer with sugaring?
To get nicest ombre
What I find difficult is how to apply this sponging technique on a real nail with all the smudging on the cuticle area as well as the sides!!! It is very difficult to blend on the clients hand!
It can be difficult at first but after some practice you can do it. When using the sponge technique you push the nail folds to the side with you hand to avoid touching them. You should also try and angle the sponge away from nail folds onto the nail so that even if the side of the sponge touches it wouldn’t have any product on it. Another way to do it is to use liquid latex around the cuticle so that the clean up is easy but that can be even more fiddly and I don’t suggest it. I hope I managed to explain well through text. If not I suggest watching some videos of ombré nails done on hands and studying there technique visually :)
