This was animated, The "superhero" as you put him would really be a nonconformist antihero.
He is in fact Disturbed's mascot The Guy.
You got the theme/idea correct. Crazy thing is this video is from long ago and yet still holds true to this day.

This is about the corporate war machine that has consumed many of my brothers and sisters.
The "superhero" is called "The Guy" Yeah, that's his official name, and he's the mascot for Disturbed, much in the same way that Eddie the Zombie is for Iron Maiden. The video is a denouncement of fascism and capitalism, those themes are VERY clearly represented. It's an anti-government and anti-unchecked power protest song. The video was (beautifully) animated by Todd McFarlane, the creator of the Spawn comics, and animated series. He did a couple videos in the late 90s/early 00s for a few bands, like Korn (Freak on a Leash) and Pearl Jam (Do the Evolution).
The story of the video follows The Guy landing on Earth and being captured by corrupt governments. As they continue to oppress the masses, he breaks free and stands up against the forces. This inspires people to join him, and they band together to take down the corrupted officials and ultimately the source of the corruption, unchecked capitalism. The "Superman where are you now" part shows that he's NOT the answer, he's not the savior, he serves as an inspiration not as a leader to the masses. It's THEM who ultimately rise up and fight back, he's just the figurehead they can rally behind, but ultimately the job of freeing themselves is their own.

Another REALLY amazing cover from Disturbed is their cover of "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You." I'd go so far to say I like it a lot more than the original.

I can't suggest highly enough that you listen to Disturbed's albums Ten Thousand Fists and Indestructible.
Those 2 albums are what caused me to be a massive fan of them.

The difference between this and Jan 6th is that the folks in this video broke in, whereas the people who "stormed" the capital were let in by security 😆
Yep! Many were! It shouldn't have happened, frankly, but I don't equate it to the sheer evil that has and continues to happen in our own Cities and government buildings. Yet, that is never spoken about...JS.
The other major difference is the video shows people fighting AGAINST a fascist government, whereas the Jan 6 people were mad they didn't get one.
