She should have been arrested for attempted murder.

This shows that even though the baby was only a month before full term that trauma to the belly is very dangerous though if they had explained that the baby was born in fetal detress due to the fact that PCA broke up leaving the baby in fetal detress which can be fatal unfortunately. She should have been charged with and put in prison for what she did

Emily should be liable for a lot more than $50,000 given the size of US medical expenses. She should also have been jailed. That would have given her the lessons she needed.

That is atempt of Murder on 2 people. That could have killed both of them. Emily should go to prison for years!

In Denver Colorado, the couple, if able to save $220,000, would undoubtedly have health insurance, covering both the delivery and any care needed for mother and child.

Is it not the case that insurance do not cover everything in America?, Plus she did say it was a safety net

What? 6 months of probation for repeated assault? Unbelievable!!! She should have received a minimum of 10 years in prison along with financial damages, anger management , and counseling. Basically, she got a slap on the wrist.

A kick to a pregnant woman's belly could be fatal to both mother and child so staying in the incubator for 2 mths I don't see where there is a over stating of the facts

I don’t get it with these videos needing money for hospital stay. Here in the USA we r required to have medical insurance. If u r working, u pay insurance through work. Some people don’t have to pay for their insurance, like the elderly on Medicare & supplement insurance. Why would she demand $20,000.

My 8 month baby was never in the NICU and certainly never in an incubator…and left the hospital with me after a few days. My mother, my SIL and my daughter all had 8 month babies and those babies all were perfectly normal. A little smaller than the average birth weight but normal in every other way.

You weren't kicked in the belly, ending the pregnancy. Only until birth pains show up should anyone be concerned about delivery. Dr.s made the decisions.

If SIL had 50k she wouldn't be demanding 20k. Although I enjoyed the promise of this movie, I think the writing staff needs to go back to the drawing board, and think a little deeper about it.

How ridicules a negate wouldn’t be in hospital for 2 months parents wouldn’t have move state while the baby was in hospital I know it’s a story but please at least make it believable court case wouldn’t have been that quick either

At 8 months the baby is basically full term enough that the NICU isn't required.....especially not for a 2 month stay

My daughter suffered from preeclampsia in her first pregnancy. My grandson arrived about 6-7 weeks early, emergency c-section. My daughter’s heart stopped twice on the table, requiring re-starting her heart. Due to TH-cam monitors I have to be careful what language I use so please excuse the terminology I have to use. My grandson had trouble breathing on his own, lungs not fully developed. A few other health issues arose as he grew up. Point is, he was in the NICU for about 2 months. So yes, perhaps that seems off to you, but believe me, having watched/heard what my daughter, son-in-law & grandson went through, no, it’s not unusual given the circumstances. Believe me, every day felt like an eternity.
