Roberto hai appena scoperto la miglior cantante esistente. Sono appassionato di musica,nella vita ho ascoltato migliaia di canzoni e centinaia di cantanti ma nessuno mi ha spiazzato e lasciato senza parole come la prima volta che ho sentito Sohyang cantare questa canzone. È una cantante Sud Coreana di 43 anni (questa esibizione è del 2015) ha iniziato la sua carriera giovanissima cantando in chiesa e poi entrando nel gruppo di famiglia di musica cristiana POS (ha sposato il batterista) . Molte volte è stata contattata dalle migliori case discografiche ma lei ha sempre rufiutato i contratti. Per lei non contano i soldi ma vuole cantare per confortare le persone che stanno passando momenti difficili. Questo perché a 20 anni contrae un cancro all'utero,riesce a guarire ma le fa perdere l'opportunità di diventare madre. Roberto, I came back to watch you and Sohyang again. I have watched many reaction videos of the variety of her performances, but even with the burden of subtitle, I have never seen a more delightful video. You are obviously extremely talented in your profession, yet you were so humble as to Immediately recognize what was happening and marvel at seeing and hearing something totally profound. I respect you immensely for that and am now a Roberto fan as well as a Sohyang fan. Please do another reaction to Soyang. We will be delighted again to watch you react to her amazing personality and talent. She is, of course, capable of adapting to any nuance of music; Pop, Jazz, Gospel, name it, and she will leave you breathless again. Watching for a notification. Maybe "Call on Me'"? You pour your intelligence, your sensitivity, your taste and your imagination into describing what you are hearing, and you invite your audience to share in your appreciation of an artist, as well as deepening our understanding. I'm not always a fan of what I will call 'florid' singing. When the vocal embellishments are not motives byated by emotion they can easily become uninteresting, or even annoying. But Sohyang is always discerning in her choices, and completely sincere in her intentions. What a wonderful singer, and a marvellous reaction.
Sohyang isn't just a singer, but she's a master vocalist and a natural musician all without forsaking the purpose of singing ; storytelling and conveying emotions. She's a complete package, blessed with a one of a kind instrument, talent as well as immeasurable efforts to hone her skills. She isn't perfect though because no one is, and she gets sick quite often(recurring pneumonia, p.s. she's a cancer survivor) so there will be many performances of hers where she isn't singing in a good condition. She's not the kind of person to back down from a performance even though she's very sick but I wish she would instead! Anyway, fun fact : Sohyang has stated that she only sings notes(or use repetitively) that are of the best vocal quality and the fact that the Bb5 note is her consistent signature high note shows how impressive she is.
So many things I love about this reaction. You spent more time than most reactors on the first verse, and it really deserves the attention you gave to it! You are definitely right that the balance of her mixed voice is her superpower and she uses that superpower to showcase her musicality and to tell the story she's sharing with us. You can tell Dimash has the pedigree (his mom is an opera singer) as well as his training since age 5 was born to sing. And Sohyangs passion and pain comes through her artistry with early personal catastrophes growing up as a gospel singer.
I hope you'll react to her song "Everyone". It's a true masterpiece. Even Sohyang said it's the most difficult song to sing because of the breath control it takes. I think you'll love it

Such a pleasure to listen to you. You pour your intelligence, your sensitivity, your taste and your imagination into describing what you are hearing, and you invite your audience to share in your appreciation of an artist, as well as deepening our understanding. I'm not always a fan of what I will call 'florid' singing. When the vocal embellishments are not motives byated by emotion they can easily become uninteresting, or even annoying. But Sohyang is always discerning in her choices, and completely sincere in her intentions. What a wonderful singer, and a marvellous reaction.
Sohyang isn't just a singer, but she's a master vocalist and a natural musician all without forsaking the purpose of singing ; storytelling and conveying emotions. She's a complete package, blessed with a one of a kind instrument, talent as well as immeasurable efforts to hone her skills. She isn't perfect though because no one is, and she gets sick quite often(recurring pneumonia, p.s. she's a cancer survivor) so there will be many performances of hers where she isn't singing in a good condition. She's not the kind of person to back down from a performance even though she's very sick but I wish she would instead!
Anyway, fun fact : Sohyang has stated that she only sings notes(or use repetitively) that are of the best vocal quality and the fact that the Bb5 note is her consistent signature high note shows how impressive she is.
So many things I love about this reaction. You spent more time than most reactors on the first verse, and it really deserves the attention you gave to it! You are definitely right that the balance of her mixed voice is her superpower and she uses that superpower to showcase her musicality and to tell the story she's sharing with us. When you react to Arirang Alone, You Raise Me Up, I Have Nothing and I Will Always Love You you will be amazed at how she always uses her technical ability to make us FEEL something very deeply. Truly one of the best vocalists on the planet and I hope you react to more from her!

@@muggsmitghty6398 Dimash is great in every way, SoHyang is great in every way. You don't have to put down one artist to like another. They are two different people who are very talented. You can tell Dimash has the pedigree (his mom is an opera singer) as well as his training since age 5 was born to sing. And Sohyangs passion and pain comes through her artistry with early personal catastrophes growing up as a gospel singer.
