Style Over Gameplay | Sonic and the Secret Rings

Sonic Team tried a lot of things during the 2000s but the storybook games may be the most out of left field idea of the lot. It just so happens though that I'm not particularly fond of the first one. Sonic and the Secret Rings is certainly unique with it's motion controls so let's take deeper look into it.

I hated this game when I was little mainly because I couldn’t beat the first boss, but I loved sonic and the black knight.

Actually there was a time when this game was liked, it had some good scores on Metacritic and IGN. Now revisiting it everyone (including me) hate this game. I really don't know why at the time this game was liked

exactly, every sonic game that isnt specifically designed around open world is on rails. Especially when the level is literally just rails.
The story is a multi layered when you're watching it as a kid (especially coming back years later), and each music track is a GOAT hit imo. I don't get tired of listening to MBR, even when, you know, you're already listening to it at the end of the stage when you go back to the menu.
Plus, he didn't even use a wii remote. The ONE thing that makes this game's movement unique & entertaining.

secret rings is the best game in the series bar none, most people as a whole just had a skill issue
