Mounting a Propane Tank to Your Rig

I started this project out by using my old awning mounts, as the propane tank mounting brackets were lost in the mail. These would work but as luck would have it the right ones arrived nearly three weeks late! So you'll see an addendum at the end. All in all I think this mount and location will work well. What do you think?

You're exactly correct...that band is a joke. The build quality of the mount is excellent...Powertank dropped the ball with the stainless band. Took me quite bit of jiggering with it to even get the threads started. A camping buddy of mine bought the same mount and he has the same complaint. I have no idea if Powertank offers a longer band or not. 👿

Where did you get the tank mount? not the tubular brackets...

It's a Power Tank unit from Amazon. Be sure and get the one for a 5lb tank.
