    I wonder how they would fair during a hard freeze. Don’t see these growing past the freeze line in Florida

    Wow. Youre showing palms I would rarely see outside of south and coastal central Florida. I lived in Jax for a short while and never ran across palms like you are showing.. seems very risky for such a large investment

    I am interested in the use of micro climates to push our limits as far as where we can grow tropical plants. In discussion about microclimates I’ve often heard people say to plant plants on the south side of a home so that they can get more sun/heat. I’ve also heard people say that planting palms under the canopy of a larger tree, like magnolias, or love oaks can create a micro climate as well. This seems like it would limit the amount of sun / heat that a palm would get canceling out the effect of having the shelter. Am I right in this thinking?

      No you’re wrong in your thinking. Palms trees don’t need all that coverings just let them grow and live like in its natural habitat. All they need is water and fertilizer.

    I have a pindo that I guess went thru a tuff spell and some branches didn’t fully grow .the top is sending out healthy full fonts ,should I cut off the bunch that didn’t fully grow ??

    Dont mention how fast they can get outta hand. Anyone in SoFlo can tell you these are hard to trim up nicely and not get outta hand and tall
